The sand, the water, the view after walking the short trail at campsite 74 to the small beach area. Carolina Beach State Park is beautiful and I would go back there and camp. It was quiet when I was there and I loved it!

The Secret Sanctuary Farm

The Secret Sanctuary Farm is a co/op located on a portion of Prince George Creek that has a double Oxbow or hairpin turns in the creek. This unique feature prevented loggers from logging the property. As a result, there are many huge old-growth trees on the property as well as a variety of fauna and flora.

 A truly unique blend of farmland. Including an assortment of friendly animals to interact with. Woodland, wetlands, and a deep spring fed fresh water creek that connects to the Cape Fear River. 

This is a working farm. Please do not Open any gates to the animals. The fruits and vegetables on the farm are for the members of the farm. Eggs from our chickens will be provided for you to use for breakfast. If you happen to choose a campsite with a kitchen. There is a coffee pot and all cooking utensils. 

      There are four permanent 4 shelters on the property. Composting toilets. Showers are still in the works. All of the shelters have their own composting toilets. Small propane heaters are available for each shelter. The first 1gallon bottle off propane is free with your stay. it will last 5-7 hrs. each additional bottles will cast $6.00 per bottle. There is also solar, powered lights, usb charging stations,  fans, and air coolers. each Conestego hut has a locking front door to keep your belongings safe

Kayaks, canoes and lifejackets are available.

 All the Wilmington beaches are within 30 minutes.

Our 50 amp, full water/sewage hook up, gravel sites include a table, grill, firepit, two parking spots and tent space. Our campground has Wi-Fi and Cell Coverage.

Glamping Cabin

Glamping Cabin is a small shed converted into an insulated sheetrock wired room for up to two people, has a couch that pulls out to a 3/4 bed 48" wide and long enough for two to sleep on clean sheets. TV with streaming and a small fridge. AC and a window. Small but 5 minutes to the beach. $85.00 A night, check in after 3pm and check out by 11am. Up to two people one car.  

Meet our (rescue) donkeys... bring a treat when you come! An apple, carrots, watermelon, peanuts... anything from the produce market on site!

We offer two spacious campsites.

Enjoy fishing, exploring by kayak, SUP or canoe from our launch over to sandy white beaches of Lea and Hutaff Islands. Boat rental companies will come pick you up for a tour, or a daily rental. We grow microgreens, herbs, flowers, blueberries, grapes, pecans and seasonal vegetables here. Our land is a haven for birds and pollinators with the many trees and shrubs that bloom and fruit though out the year. Grocery store, pharmacies, restaurants and an emergency hospital are within 7 miles. Sailfish Restaurant is a short walk away if you'd like to dine out but not drive. Someday Lane

My wife and I have been blessed to share our eternal lives with one-another. Many years ago we learned that we cannot wait to "live our lives" when we reach "retirement" so we enjoy each day to the fullest. Some friends couldn't understand when we moved to southeast NC without any PLAN for our future. We are just happy to be alive each and every day that we are here. We made "someday" into "today" and we are happy to share the experience with you

We are located in southeast NC, approximately 15-20 miles from area beaches. Our location is very "country" with lots of wildlife (deer, fox, rabbits, birds, etc...) roaming about. It is very quiet in the evenings and overnight. The campsite has a large paver stone patio and picnic table.&nbsp;We have a fire pit and when able we would be happy to host a night around the fire. We are pet friendly but request that dogs be on a leash or tie-out. We expect guests to pickup pet "litter".

Campers are encouraged to use the swing and chairs set back under the pines. Also campers will find a guest book in the little library under the pine tree with a concrete bench nearby (you drive around in as you pull into the campsite). The book contains our WiFi password (service not guaranteed). Please leave us a  note about your stay.

This buck visited us in 2019. He was about 20 feet from the campsite. Fortunately we don't seem to have any nuisance visitors that cause damage or get into things.
