There are many state parks, popular cities, and fun recreation in the surrounding area. We are just south of Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, and Pittsboro. Kick back by the outdoor fire pit and explore hiking trails, rivers, biking, playgrounds, boating, swimming, fishing, shopping, and great restaurants. The space Guest have access to the entire basement floor and back yard inside the fence. The double doors below the deck have a keyless entry code. Feel free to step in, settle in, and embrace everything New Hill and its surroundings have in store for you. We are excited to be your hosts and can't wait for your stay! The space is peaceful, relaxing, and outdoorsy. The basement is quite large and has everything you need. Enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of sweet tea in the rocking chairs on the patio or have an outdoor meal on the picnic table, as well as kick back for some afternoon relaxation time in the hammock. There is plenty of backyard space to toss a football or play cornhole. To ensure a hassle-free and cozy stay, we've got you covered with fresh sheets, pillows, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, coffee, creamer, and spices along with essential supplies like toilet paper and paper towels. Your comfort is our priority—we've thought of everything to make your stay as relaxing as can be! Other things to note We have three young children (Ages 4, 6, and 8) that you may see outside or hear upstairs walking around. They are typically up by 7 am and in bed by 8 pm but are gone most of the day at school (unless it’s summer) and play outside often. We also have one black cat named Smokey who is very friendly and loves to socialize. If you’re not a fan of kids or pets then this may not be the space for you. Nightly rates vary based on specific dates. Weekends are priced higher. Discounts are automatically available closer to the arrival date. Single-night stays are automatically made available when those are the only remaining nights. Otherwise, a two-night minimum is required.

I purchased a 1960's ranch home and 4 acres over 5 years ago.  I turned the home into The Fab 4 House, furnishing it with authentic Mid-century Modern furniture and naming each bedroom for 1 of the Beatles.  I rent it out and it is great for events.  However, I needed 1 bedroom accommodations so I purchased 3- 8'x40' shipping containers and turned them into tiny homes.  You can rent 1 or all 3.  The courtyard in the middle features a Tiki Bar, Beach Scene, Putting Green.  I want people to enjoy the in and outside together.

Please note that a $49 CLEANING FEE is added to each booking. Hi there! The Cozy Heron is an 𝙞𝙣-𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙣, riverside glamping resort. Noises of traffic from nearby highway is audible. Each wagon is equipped with calming sound machines that also double as bluetooth speakers to assist guests who may be bothered by sounds of nearby traffic. We currently have five covered wagons and one bath house. The property offers a community stone patio, firepit, grilling area, and large expansive lawn. The upper Cape Fear River flows below the property and Adirondack chairs and a few hammocks are conveniently located around the wagons and entire property for relaxation and pretty views! The Cozy Heron property shares borders a very popular river outfitter (Cape Fear River Adventures in Lillington, NC). Cape Fear River Adventures offers paddling classes, summer day camp, canoe/kayak/SUP rentals, and river tubing. Just a quick 2 minute walk from your covered wagon will also bring you to an on-site restaurant and bar: The Riverside Restaurant & Bar. The Riverside has a full bar, delicious, stone-fired pizza, smashed burgers, fresh salads and sandwiches, and more! They may also have live music performances throughout the spring and summer months. Raven Rock State Park is just a 15 minute drive away. Surrounding towns like Fuquay-Varina, Angier, and Holly Springs offer more shops and restaurants if Lillington doesn't have enough for you! Raleigh and all of its nightlife, museums, and markets is just 45 minutes away from The Cozy Heron Glamping.

The wagons were so nice and conveniently located right near the restaurant and water. The beds were super comfy, and the room was so cozy. The AC worked perfectly keeping the place cool. The gas black stone grill was a nice surprise!! The staff kept the bath houses fully stocked with towels and other essentials. And the restaurant next door was a huge hit. The staff was lovely and very accommodating for our large crew of 17 for lunches and dinners. We will definitely be back!! We had the best time!

We enjoyed The River Adventures each day. After a long day of play it was great having a vibrant, tasty restaurant to dine at! Can't wait to go back next year with our crew!!

From the moment we got there, till the time we left was absolutely wonderful!!! The tent was better the photos, exceptionally clean, incredibly comfortable and more than I expected. The bathroom facility was as well fantastic! The kids loved it, our dog had the best time and with the exception of being covered in tree pollen for 3 days, we all had an amazing weekend. Alicia was an awesome host!!!!

What a delightful place! Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful grounds with local wildlife making appearances. The kids loved the gaming room and supplies. The tents and bathrooms were clean with air and heat. Just a couple of miles from shopping if you need supplies. Only 25 minutes from Raleigh. We had a blast and are looking forward to staying here again. Alicia was wonderful, very responsive to messages. They made sure we had everything we needed to have the best stay possible.

We stayed in Swamp Rose The preview pictures were spot on, clean, spacious, heater/AC, mini fridge, mini microwave, coffee, hot chocolate, hot tea, 4 bottles of water, smores, towels ! It was so fun! Our farm is a beautiful, private 25 acres with an 1830s house, outbuildings, animals, orchards, gardens, pastures, old trees, wildlife habitat, a spring, and woods. Here you can relax; watch nature; meet our chickens, goats, horse, cats, and dog; learn about archaeology, history, plants, and mead making; and get eggs and homegrown seasonal food. Listen to birdsong and watch clouds during the day, wander a path through our ca. 5 acres of woods, see fireflies in the evening, and star watch at night. Nearby are hiking, horseback riding, historical sites, fishing, antiques, wineries, shooting, and more. We are located in a rural area and have many different domesticated and wild animals so you may hear diverse animal noises and see or smell animal poop, although we try to keep things clean and tidy. Our neighbors have dogs, cattle, and chickens/roosters and occasionally shoot guns during daylight hours (one neighbor is a sporting club with skeet shooting and hunting dogs) but typically our farm is a quiet and peaceful place. We mow regularly and our rooster and chicken ladies wander far and wide eating bugs but, in the summer, they can't get every mosquito and tick so please plan accordingly for your own comfort.
