The resort is currently in Phase One, a soft opening that offers guests a preview of what is to come. This phase features ten cozy rental cabins and exceptionally large, full-hookup RV sites equipped with 50-amp electric service, water, sewer, and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property. During this phase, guests can enjoy reduced pricing while select amenities are still under construction.
Now open is the resort’s beautiful new Clubhouse, which includes a welcoming reception area, coffee bar, single-serve wine and beer bar, and a well-stocked store offering RV and camping supplies, snacks, beverages, and souvenirs. Additional clubhouse features include restrooms, a laundry facility, area attraction information, customer service, a comfortable common lounge with a 70-inch television, a community bulletin board, and more.
Current amenities include a basketball court, pickleball court, dog park, cornhole, playground and more. In the coming months, guests will also enjoy exciting new additions such as live entertainment, outdoor movies, a zero-entry swimming pool with wet deck and water features, gazebos, landscaped foliage, horseshoes, and expanded sports options including tournaments.
Once construction is fully completed, the resort’s Activities and Entertainment Coordinator will lead a variety of structured activities for all ages throughout the year. Troutman is a very quaint southern town very close to Mooresville, NC. It is smack in the middle of Charlotte and Hickory! So you can enjoy the mountains or the city or both from ONE LOCATION!! We are within driving distance to Lowe's Motor speedway and very close to many race teams located in Mooresville.
The downtown of Troutman is a short drive from your camp spot and there is a grocery store, drug store and many privately owned restaurants, including Italian, German and amazing fried chicken at Julia's! There is an ice cream parlor too!! Another wonderful asset to Troutman is Daveste' Vineyard where there is live music often, and of course wine tastings! This beautiful vineyard is less than 10 mins away.

My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked and you still want to camp, look him up. He is better suited for small groups and has more privacy.
Easy drive right to the campsite
There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee.
A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite.
Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, the weather can change conditions and make it unusable.
I should also add that this is not completely private. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will also end a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view

This property is 180 acres of woods and mountains with streams and ponds.
Beautiful settings. If you like hiking in the mountains this will definitely hit the spot. You can fish in the ponds it has blue gills and catfish. I also added grass carp there as part of weed management.
This used to be an abandoned farm which I want to bring back to life.
The site offers three luxury large Safari Style Tents that are all separate and private.
This is not a KOA style of camping where everyone is on top of each other.
All tents are far away from each other to provide privacy and freedom of going Wild (still remaining civilized in your manners and careful attitude to Nature around you).
Tent 1 is in the Forrest itself and it is pretty cool and serene.
Tent 2 is on the top of a rocky hill overlooking the forest.
Tent 3 is the most remote and closest to the ponds. It has most of the open space around it, and can be a great place for parties.
We are working on making the sites and the area more comfortable, but I do not want to make it a manicured park. I want it to remain wild and still offer comfortable stay.
The farm is work in progress.
The closest town - Lenoir is about 12 miles away . Closest Grocery store (Dollar General) - about 3 miles away. Closest Gas station - 2 miles away.
Professional Tennis court, Basketball court and large kids playground are in a public park within - 5 minute drive.
Lenoir has restaurants, shopping, etc.
Hickory is a larger town about 25 minutes drive. Hickory Lake is a large reservoir with marina where you can rent a boat and it also offers a good game fishing.
Nice swimming beach access on Lake Hickory 13 miles ( 20 Minutes) from here: Lake Hickory Wittenburg access area (Wittenburg Access Area, 175 Wildlife Access Rd, Hickory, NC 28601)

We have always enjoyed quiet secluded campsites, river floats and sitting by the river. After years of looking all over the mountains for a river property we could call our own, our favorite spot on the river came up for sale. It just so happened it was nearly halfway between where we both grew up. After many sleepless nights worrying if we could succeed or not (it was much larger than properties we had been looking for), we bought it! Our favorite spot on the river was virtually inaccessible by any way other than floating. But after hundreds of hours of hard work, we think we have developed a place where others too can enjoy the things we do about the property. We dream big and Tellurian remains a work in progress, but we feel we have created a place where folks can enjoy the peacefulness of nature, the river and incredible views.
Naming our campground proved to be one of the most challenging tasks throughout the process of developing it. After many ideas and brainstorming sessions as a family, we decided to go with Tellurian. We know it’s a bit different; that’s what we like about it. We think our place stands out and, after visiting Tellurian, we think you’ll agree it does too.

Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground was a tobacco farm (antique tobacco barn still on property). The house was built in 1910 and has been updated. We purchased it in 2014 and converted it into a vineyard.
We have RV sites with 50 amp and 30 amp electric hookups and water, and tents sites. For 2023 our rates are $30/night for RV Sites (50 amp or 30 amp electric hookups and water) and $25/night for Tent Sites. Tent sites do not have electricity or water hookups, but water is available at the well. (Due to inflation, 2024 our rates will be $30/night for RV Sites, $25/night for Tent Sites.) We do not have a dump station, but we do have a Port A John
and a list of dump stations nearby.
Campfires are allowed unless we have a state issued burning ban. Campers are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires. Please be extremely careful during dry or drought conditions.
Conveniently located one mile from Hwy 421 but remote and peaceful with plenty of room to roam on our 22 acres with grapevines, fruit trees, forest, creeks, fields, goats, Beagle and Jackabee (Beagle/Jack Russell) dogs, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Also, we have wildlife such as birds, squirrels, groundhogs, deer, raccoons, opossums, etc. We are about 15 miles from Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro (home of the Merle Fest and Apple Festival). Eden Oaks is 18 miles from W. Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir, 24 miles from Stone Mt. State Park, and 10 miles from Elkin (sponsors of the Wine Festival and Pumpkin Festival).
Eden Oaks is in the heart of the Yadkin Valley and Swan Creek AVAs
(American Viticultural Area).

The Neal Creek campsites are semi-wooded areas with plenty of shade. They are very large private, peaceful and quiet sites.
The Back Forty Camping is semi-wooded area with plenty of privacy!
View the stars at night, relax during the day or if you are into biking or hiking, go to the Overmountain Victory trail located about 15 minutes away and enjoy the 6.7 mile loop around Lake Whelchel right off I-85.

Site 1 had an unobstructed view of the open meadow that sloped down to the river that was hidden beyond the trees. This Hipcamp was a great place to relax and do nothing because of its remote location in between towns and its distance from most anything. We didn’t use the river because the rains had the water level higher than we expected and the folks immediately across the river seemed to be having some kind of substantial multi tent gathering.

The proximity to the river was perfect for our kids where it was a short walk away to access to the river but not immediate so we didn’t have to worry about water safety with the little ones. The river itself is gorgeous. Hookups were well maintained. Definitely recommend.

I took my 4 year old granddaughter camping here at Amy’s Pecan Tree Farm, we stayed 2 nights and she didn’t want to leave. We hung a hammock up, we played with magnetic sand, she chased after the wild bunnies. She loved the outside string lights. I felt very safe. It was so peaceful! I will stay here again next time I’m passing through.

We had a lovely weekend! My 30 foot travel trailer was perfectly level, easy to hook up. Water and Electric. At the close of the weekend I drove over to Lake Norman State Park to dump my tanks.
My friends came and set up their tent nearby. It was a quiet weekend, felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. And yet you’re close enough to Troutman if you want to go in for groceries or dinner. Or the nearby winery is a favorite place to go! Amy stopped by briefly just to welcome us! She was quick to communicate prior to the trip regarding any question I had. The rabbits and the birds kept us entertained all weekend.
Recommend this place! We’ll be back!

This was my first Hipcamp experience and it was great. This is an AMAZING location - very near Merlefest (Wilkesboro, NC), and I was the only car camping here.
This is on a farm, in a field, with a creek and cows. There are port-a-potties that I didn't check out, an ice machine in a shed (free to use) and a really nice tree swing that overlooks the crick and the cows. There are fairy lights along the paths.
The owner has been a wonderful communicator, and everything was great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone (especially the Merlefest people out there!!!!!)

This campground was the perfect stay to disconnect and enjoy nature. Jud was so very welcoming and even brought our dogs treats when we first arrived. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. So many beautiful views and hikes.

Grateful to have found this gem! We prefer smaller campsites sites as we want to feel like we are getting away from the crowds. This site has 7 spots and although all were full this weekend, everyone that was there was quiet and respectful. It was truly a relaxing weekend! We walked the dogs to the river a few times a day (on leash) and they got to wade in the water. The First Broad River was such a peaceful place. This time of year, the swallowtail butterflies were fluttering everywhere up and down the river, making it a magical sight. The campground was very well maintained and the views were absolutely stunning. Thank you Jud, for being such an amazing host. We will be back, next time with our friends!

My wife and I made the Tellurian our first trip with our new camper. Everything went extremely smoothly and I think it is because of how well the campground is set up and maintained. When we first arrived we backed into our spot (#3) and I was happily surprised to find that the site was dead level. Getting everything hooked up was a breeze and water, sewer, and electric all worked perfect our entire trip. I cannot overstate how amazing the view was from our site and my wife and I barely wanted to leave our chairs the entire weekend because of how unbelievable it was. We met Jud on Saturday and he was extremely nice and even mentioned a second viewpoint for the sunset that was an absolute knockout. We went down to the river and the accesses were easy to walk and well defined. The water was too cold to get in but I could see it being a great spot to spend time in the summer. The bathhouse was very clean and the layout gave plenty of privacy. Overall we had a 10/10 experience and we will certainly be coming back.

Views! Excellent spacious site. The entire camp is very clean and well maintained. Great communication from the Hosts and Jud was very helpful and responsive. All sites have views. Easy to get in and out. Great river access and a short drive to South Mountains for hiking! Highly recommend!
