The Saxapahaw Country Club is a beautiful 31-acre working farm and event space. Ian was helpful with directions and had the tent and firewood set up for our arrival. Loved the seclusion and privacy. Enjoyed seeing a beaver, a large red-tailed hawk and deer, and hearing coyotes, woodpeckers, and owls. The perfect spot for viewing the meteor shower since the site is dark and has a great view of the night sky. It was it was a bit of a walk from the parking to the site, so if you are bringing a lot of stuff and have to make multiple trips, it may be a challenge. Overall a wonderful experience that we will likely book again.

This is the campsite by the Pond/Stage. When driving in, you'll turn right down towards the pond. Pull off to the left in front of the stage before crossing the dam. Campsite is in front and to the left of the stage.

The property is wonderful - beautiful land, lovely campsite setups, great hosts. We came back for a second time and it just kept getting better. The location is wonderful. We loved the friendly cats, the wonderful barn, and the very fun swing. They also have very nice picnic tables and chairs. The little things really added to the experience. Highly recommend.

Site is very large, nice view out to pond and sunsets. Add on charge for bathroom is well worth it if you aren’t self contained. Hosts are wonderful and friendly. The place was very peaceful for my weekend stay. Will definitely be coming back again.

Excellent spot away from the city but not to far out of the way. Right on the water side made for excellent mornings sitting around the fire enjoying coffee and enjoying the view. The host was exceptional with everything from first meet and great to departure. If you want a quite relaxing weekend away I would highly recommend this spot.

We had so much fun camping at Lavender & Lore! So nice to be secluded and alone right on the lake with beautiful views and perfect accommodations. The restroom was very clean and the tent was huge! Our kids and dogs both loved being able to run around the woods and play in the water. Will definitely return.

My four sons and I had a great weekend stay at Ian and Cathy’s! The boys loved fishing from the bank just steps from the fire pit (with grill grate!) and kayaking the still, peaceful waters of the pond. They caught some beautiful largemouth bass and saw the resident beaver, who you could hear swimming and splashing at night. Ian and Cathy were so kind to bring us farm fresh eggs to make for breakfast and a pouch of dried lavender from their awesome lavender farm. The boys are already talking about coming back in the cooler months when Ian has the yurt up. Thanks again for a great time!
