Tegan's place is remote but also near lots to do. We enjoyed the quietness of the area with only the sound of coyotes in the distance. On a cloudless night the stargazing is great. Getting our trailer up the somewhat steep driveway and finding a levelish area was a challenge but we managed.

Always a little hesitant going to a new place but our first time at this site did not disappoint! The pavilion was a perfect touch especially with the unexpected rainy morning weather. Communication with Anthony was prompt and very helpful. More than enough room for our small camper and truck and the open space allows for some great nighttime sky viewing!

We had a super relaxing weekend stay at The Stone Shanty and Amy was was a very friendly and easygoing host. The property itself is very beautiful, with the site we stayed at overlooking a scenic pond. Loved hearing owls as the sun was setting and once it was dark, the view of the stars was amazing. It happened to be a "new moon" the weekend we were there which made the sky even darker and we saw many shooting stars and could clearly see the Milky Way. We will be back again!

Amy is a very kind host with great communication.
There is a neat little covered patio area with a 'bar' type setup with stools. If it rained you could definitely hold out in there for a bit. Plenty of benches and picnic tables. The pond was nice. Kids would love swimming in it. The area near the pond has a great view of the sky and it's quite dark out there for good star gazing. It was very quiet day and night. This is not a 'glamping experience'. It's a neat, rustic piece of property, in a great location.
