Lose yourself here, or maybe find yourself, among the Hemlocks. First, a bit about the terrain. There is much in the way of forest, very mature, and a broad array of plant species. Elevation differences are vast, land to the west is uphill for quite a ways, and downhill to the east, to Hemlock lake below, so the world here can feel a bit tilted. We adjoin 150 acres of nature conservancy lands that nobody seems to know about. These lands are for respectful public daytime use. We also adjoin 6600 acres of NY state forest which is public property. Exploring all that is here would take a very long time! Want to get away? Welcome to our little slice of heaven. See the provided map for site locations. Site 1 is open field and is near the pavilion, sites 2 and 3 are along the woods, and site 4 is the most private and tucked into the woods. Lodi Point State Park is also 5 miles away with public access to Seneca lake. Lodi Point features a boat launch, nice playgrounds and swimming areas. As we are located in beautiful Fingerlakes, you can also find many other state parks including Sampson, Watkins Glen, Hector and Taughannock, all within a short drive. Taughannock Falls is a must see with its 215 foot plunge waterfalls. Each of our RV sites has a 16ft x 45ft stone pad and full electric hook ups with a 110v 20 amp, 30 amp, and 50 amp service. I am centrally located to many of the Finger Lakes along with several villages that still have been able to hold onto their old-time charm, like Pen Yann, Naples, and Hammondsport. Tegan's place is remote but also near lots to do. We enjoyed the quietness of the area with only the sound of coyotes in the distance. On a cloudless night the stargazing is great. Getting our trailer up the somewhat steep driveway and finding a levelish area was a challenge but we managed.

Nathan stopped in after we got set up and talked to us about some local attractions, which, unfortunately, we were not able to visit. There definitely will be a next time. We keep coming back for so many reasons - the privacy, the tranquility, the well manicured site, the large space, the proximity to everything, the awesome fire pit….. . This was a great spot!! Nathan and his family were so wonderful. Google sent us to the wrong spot and Nathan was very quick to answer the phone and direct us to the campsite. A wonderful spot on a quiet road that goes right to the lake. Very level site with electric hookups, picnic table and fire pit. Pitcher pump on the property was a bonus. We had the full moon the night we were there and it was amazing. Unfortunately, we were only there for one night and we had a problem with our dogs so we didn't get to explore as much as we would have liked. We will definitely be back.

Great place nearby the Erie Canal. We arrived later than we wanted, arriving after dark. We found the driveway easily and the site was good. We had bicycles to cycle along the canal. The property did border the canal, but a little bushwhacking was needed. Woke up in the morning to four deer grazing and squirrels getting walnuts out of the trees!

We had a super relaxing weekend stay at The Stone Shanty and Amy was was a very friendly and easygoing host. The property itself is very beautiful, with the site we stayed at overlooking a scenic pond. Loved hearing owls as the sun was setting and once it was dark, the view of the stars was amazing. It happened to be a "new moon" the weekend we were there which made the sky even darker and we saw many shooting stars and could clearly see the Milky Way. We will be back again!

Amy is a very kind host with great communication. There is a neat little covered patio area with a 'bar' type setup with stools. If it rained you could definitely hold out in there for a bit. Plenty of benches and picnic tables. The pond was nice. Kids would love swimming in it. The area near the pond has a great view of the sky and it's quite dark out there for good star gazing. It was very quiet day and night. This is not a 'glamping experience'. It's a neat, rustic piece of property, in a great location.

This place was exactly what we needed. I was looking for a beautiful place to put my little trailer for a couple of days with nothing to do other than read and spend time valuable with my sister. The land is meticulously cared for and manicured. Beautiful flowers and rolling hills. There were several flat places to park and the area was spotlessly clean. There was a nice fire pit with those view and a couple of shade trees. We chose our favorite one and set up the hammocks. The night sky! Oh my goodness that was ethereal! The first time I have seen the Milky Way in years. It was hard to give it up for sleep- it was that amazing. Mark was an incredible host. He answered our questions so quickly. He was extremely kind and helpful. I’m grateful he shared the land with us. One thing to note that surprised us but didn’t bother us, was that it seems the dirt road was well traveled. There were quite a few cars (and a school bus) driving by. Everyone would wave a hello. It was nice knowing there were other people around. Other than the occasional vehicle it was SO quiet. I’d definitely recommend this place for someone looking to get away from everything! Check out these views!

Amazing peace and serenity! Located on a lake access road with very few lake homes made for very little traffic. Far enough from city lights made for awesome star gazing. No hunting down firewood. Nathan has wood available with easy access and super fair price. Perfect location for us, as it is easy access to many wineries, and a few distilleries and craft breweries. Short drive to Walkins Glen for great scenic hiking with waterfalls in a nice town. Road bikes and enjoyed the challenging rolling hills. Peaceful with only two very large sites, both immaculately maintained, with nothing else near them. Cute little creek and a large open field behind the site. We always appreciate sites with level pads, and the pads are nice and wide for for our 35 ft 5th wheel. Always a bonus, as many private campgrounds struggle, but the electric hook up is well done and checked out perfect with my tester. We had no issues camp not having water or dump station. Coming from the North, we utilized a free station at an RV dealership nearby. Amazing spot to get away from society, yet still be able to do things life offers!

We enjoyed our stay at Peaceful Pastures, Amy and Roy are so kind and welcoming! And generous! So nice having hot coffee and muffins to wake up to, and when I asked to buy eggs they wouldn’t let me pay for them. Thank you Amy & Roy, we’re so happy to have met you! Site is grassy, outhouse is clean (nice, soft TP☺️), wood burned wonderfully, and the farm scenery is beautiful. Just know that if you like to sleep in, the roosters may not let you. It wasn’t a problem for us because our dogs wake us up about the same time anyway. Highly recommend!!
