The feeling of peace is about 1 mile off the road. Pulling into Apple Cove you'll see we've cleared areas for tents and small van style RVs. There is an individual fire pit for each camper, a small rock bottom creek runs through the 15 acres for a nice, relaxing view of the woods. The kids and I set up a swing set, and a spot by the creek to play and splash. Now, New York is a 420 friendly state. Enjoy yourself but please be respectful of others

Weekend Trip to Lake Of The Woods Cabin Camp HST
I come here with my partner each Christmas and we listen to the ever growing record collection while we listen to the cracking wood in the Woodstock. There's a propane cook top for coffee and tea as well as frying pans and pots. The bed is so comfortable. Bring a book if you like. The host is amazing and makes sure you have anything you need as they live just down the way.

What an amazing hipcamp experience!! My partner and I, along with our two dogs absolutely loved staying in the cabin. Brian was an incredible host, so responsive and helpful with any questions we had. I have never seen a space so well thought out, it had everything we needed and a perfect space to relax and unwind after a long day of driving. Would love to stay again next time we’re in the area.

My partner and I loved this cute cabin , right next to Lake Erie! It’s a great size, very clean, and had all the amenities we needed for the start of our cross country trip back home , including a buddy heater for the cold night. Thank you so much for the extra blankets too! We were perfectly snug. We wish we could have spent another night. We got gluten free pizza at Villaggio Italiano, which is right down the road — it was delicious! Couldn’t recommend this spot more!

Angie and Dan were absolutely terrific Hosts. Very responsive and friendly. Cabin we stayed in was very clean and almost like new to be honest.

3 nights at Angie's Country Cabins B&B
We had a fabulous three nights staying in the Country Cabin at Angie's Country Cabins. The Country Cabin has it's own parking and outhouse and is secluded from the rest of the property. You are able to follow a path to the main site during the day, but I wouldn't recommend it at night. (That's ok, it is literally a 20 second drive.)
We had a great time meeting and chatting with Angie's family and other campers. Every morning we walked over to the main site and had a coffee, showered, and had a relaxing start to our day. Each night we settled around the community campfire and made some food, chitchatted with other campers, and one night pulled out guitars and jammed for a bit.
We are already talking about going back in the winter and staying in Reynolds Rustic Retreat -- hopefully we have a few feet of snow and can escape from the world.
Angie was always quick to respond to answer questions, both via phone and on the app. In addition she has videos, instructions on the amenities, and various books/games/etc. in the cabins.
Stay here, relax for a few days, and get off the grid!

We loved our stay. The cabin is perfect. We did not mind being close to the road or the tracks. Everything was very wooded and felt private. close to town and right by the lake. The cabin had a bunch of amenities that were not mentioned such as a gas grill and an indoor cooktop, lanterns, a cooler etc. Very well set up. We will stay again.

We loved our stay at Brian’s cabin. It was a perfect spot for a last minute getaway. We loved the decor and record player - we had a good mix of what was available and brought some of our own to spin too. The spot was between two houses but still felt private and secluded. Our dogs enjoyed themselves aside from some nearby fireworks around dusk, which thankfully didn’t last long. We really enjoyed being able to relax and watch all the birds and butterflies around the meadow during the day and enjoyed the fire at night. It’s conveniently located to the town park/beach and grocery store. The cabin had everything we needed and more. They even left us a little gift to make s’mores. We’ve already recommended to our friends and I’m sure we’ll be back soon!

The cabin is so nice and cozy inside and the record player and albums were amazing.. nothing like the Beatles and Neil Diamond to clear your head. We had wood for the fire, a fun gift bag full of everything we needed for s’mores, a camp chair, camp stove, food just in case, spices, a record player with tons of albums, a very clean porta potty and so much more. The bed was so comfortable and the location perfect for our overnight . Thank you again.

The Amish cabin was such a relaxing, little hidden gem. Well furnished and solar powered! Host was amazing, friendly, and easy to communicate with. Such a short walking distance to grocery, small beach/bay area with gorgeous views of lake Erie. You can adventure on the land and check out some unique sculptures, beautiful pollinator gardens, and sunset views! The deli was recommended by host for a great spot for the Thai chili wings, which were absolutely delicious. Would definitely stay again for a recharge.

We loved camping at Brian and destiny's small cabin, it was delightful, we were able to stay warm the bed was comfortable, and the host and hostess for the mostest. They were really great they went above and beyond and helped us have a really great time. We can't say enough, can't wait to return.

1 night at Lake Of The Woods Cabin Camp HST
I had a really lovely stay at The Lake of the Woods. I booked last minute and check in was smooth and easy and the host was very communicative and kind. The cabin is peaceful and secluded enough where I felt I had my privacy. There is noise from the road so if you are looking for total silence, this will likely not work for you. That being said, it did not bother me at all and I am a fairly light sleeper. I felt the noise from the birds and the train to balance everything out and I enjoyed the soundtrack. The cabin has all the necessities (cookware, handheld lanterns, Jackery, porta potty, etc.) and then some. I didn’t get to try the record player but thought that was a really sweet touch. The host left a propane heater since it was fairly cold the night I stayed but with an extra wool blanket I brought, I slept perfectly without it. The bed is also quite comfortable. The host also left a care package. The cabin is a short drive to many Lake Erie beaches and lookouts that I explored on my way back home. The cabin would be a really nice place to settle in after a day at the beach. I would definitely recommend The Lake of the Woods to anyone looking for a spacious and peaceful place to relax with just the perfect amount of creature comforts and nature for your stay.
