For more adventurous, there's a full slate of self-guided recreational activities, such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards, bird watching, available in the area. We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guests to “unplug” and immerse in the slow paced life instead. At Paradise Shores, we believe in protecting people, animals and the planet. We make sure that the majority of products we use at our camp is recycled, composted, or re-used. We prefer to use products that are produced in a sustainable way and avoid those that aren't. We are continuously reducing the amount of waste we generate and actively promote recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass, and cardboard. We pack our own recycling and haul it to the nearest recycling facility which is an hour away. We co-opt the drive with other activities to reduce waste. We don’t use individually packaged toiletries or one-use products. We use plant and planet friendly detergent. We're based in a desert. We share our precious water with the entire planet. With only 326 million cubic miles of water on the earth, the decreasing amounts of access to quality fresh water is alarming to us. We monitor how we use water in our day-to-day activities and are constantly working on ways to reduce our consumption of fresh-water resources. We hope you can help us maintain this greener camping! We hope Paradise Shores Camp becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, and Twin Lakes, as well as the historic gold-mining town of Bodie, CA are all within a short drive from our place. We're proud to know this area intimately and are excited to share the secret spots with you. The excellent hiking/running trails including the Pacific Crest Trail, thousands of miles of ATV, dirt bike and mountain bike trails are accessible right from our camp or within a short drive from here. The surrounding terrain offers endless activities and unbelievable scenery in remote wilderness settings. Pet Policy All our RV & Tent sites are pet friendly and we allow up to two dogs per reservation for a small fee. We can also accommodate up to two four-legged campers in our pet-friendly Baja or Tatra trailers for a small fee, we ask that they stay off the furniture (beds, sofas etc.) and are not left in the rental unattended. We love dogs, but sadly won’t be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren’t house trained. Additionally, our insurance will not allow "aggressive breeds" that include any mix of: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, German Sheppard. Lovely, quiet place to camp, and of course the alpacas made it even more special. The heater made the tent plenty warm even though it was early November. Close to Carson and Virginia City, so we were able to explore. We would definitely return!

This is a cute and charming glamping experience. You will be lovingly embraced by the furry creatures on the ranch. The glamping tent included a heating unit which worked great, as well as a barbecue grill, amble, flashlights, water, solar powered outlets to charge our phones, and much more. The breakfast was delicious, and the jams in the country store were great too. We happened to be there on a day where there was an alpaca festival, and that was so much fun. We also witnessed an alpaca giving birth. Stacy was super accommodating. We also got to meet some of the other farmers like Jim and Nancy, who is also a holistic energy healing practitioner and sound healer. We also had a really great sleep in nature.

The campground is beautiful, tent was warm when I needed it to be. All accommodations are great. Everything is kept clean, bathrooms are routinely checked and cleaned. I had an amazing time! Stacey has a really great farm with fun amenities! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the clamping tent! Fans worked all night, and the bed was comfortable for the both of us. The Alpacas are sooo fun to watch and feed! They loved coming over to our tent for carrots (we brought extra!) The directions were well laid out and Stacey is a wealth of knowledge about the farm and her animals! We will definitely be back to see our friends again!

My Pine View lodge stay was over the top in many ways, lots of nice details to make you feel at home. There was everything needed to enjoy dinners on the deck, including a beautiful forest view along with peace and quiet. Chase and the rest of the staff were super helpful and accomodating. I felt like they went the extra mile to make sure we were ok. The camper itself was great. The cal king bed was super comfortable. The only bummer was that the AC didn't really keep the bedroom very cool in the afternoon. That made napping our baby a little tricky.

This place is a gem. Very nice RVs and campsite. It was very clean and well equipped for cooking (stove, oven, grill, microwave) / eating / making coffee. There were also lots of paddle boards and kayaks for getting out on the lake. Everyone there including the staff was very friendly–good all around vibes. Overall it was an enjoyable stay, would love to visit again.

Glamping was a breeze! The sleeping area was clean and had so much space. I used my sleeping bag for extra warmth at night, but there was a propane heater for use if you need it. The alpacas were my main draw and I’m so glad I was able to interact with them. They were very friendly and very curious about the dog I had with me. I enjoy the fact that I was able to feed the animals with feed they provided at their shop! Each paid campsite gets a free bucket of feed. They have two guardian dogs that patrol the area and protect the livestock, and they were very friendly. Overall a very enjoyable time. I added a breakfast to my trip and I loved it! My dog also had a very enjoyable time smelling all the smells and interacting with the animals.

3 nights at Paradise Shores Camp

Overall a great stay. We visited during April so the other camp spots were closed. It was quiet except for the occasional car/trucks driving by. 30-45 min scenic drive to mono lake depending on the visit location. It would have been close to Bodie state park except the regular road to the park was closed in mid April. The long way took about an hour on gravel and dirt road still worth the visit though. Very close to the natural hot spring.
