Under the care of third generation steward, Lisa Betz-Marquez, the beautiful bluffs feature a stunning backdrop to a those seeking a private and peaceful experience, birding, wildlife-spotting, or an adventure-seeking hike. Rustic Tent sites (allowing cars, vans, rooftop tents, truck campers, and motorcycles, but not RVs or pull-behind trailers) are located directly on the prairie. The prairie is a fragile environment. To preserve its beauty and health, trailers and RVs must book the RV sites. We appreciate your cooperation. RV sites 50 amp electricity and a rustic experience on crushed concrete near our corral. You'll have foot access just steps from the prairie. All sites share access to delicious potable water, a clean porta potty, and a funky outdoor camp shower (with unheated water), as well as private foot access to hiking at various levels of challenge to the south side of our nation's Scotts Bluff National Monument. A small group of yearling cattle are at home on the prairie in summer months, and may share you the prairie tent area with campers in the months of May and June. Prairie guests have relished the feeling of having the place to themselves to enjoy the majesty of the landscape, the magic of our starry night skies and the soulful communion with the land. Lisa is the fourth generation of her family to live on Valley View Farm, located directly south of the prairie. Her family has been steward of these lands since 1925. Lisa is a member of a pioneer family. Ancestor, Martin Gering, came to the valley in 1887. As an early investor in the fledgling town, the town of Gering was named for him. In summer, you might spot Farmer Billy tending crops or setting irrigation at sunrise and sunset—it’s all part of the BE Farm experience. During October, it’s Pumpkin Patch season at BE Farm, and with your stay, you’ll be welcome to enjoy all the fall vibes at the Farm. A quick note: The Farm is open to the public on Fridays (4 p.m.–dark), Saturdays (10 a.m.–9 p.m.), and Sundays (10 a.m.–6 p.m.). Weekend Trip to Peaceful Prairie Campsites
This was the best site I've ever camped at and can't recommend it enough! You're all to yourself but still nearby other sites. The town, as well as Scottsbluff NM and Chimney Rock, are close by. Lisa was an excellent host, wish we could've talked longer! Make sure you're well prepared for the weather...the wind swept through the canyon just right and snapped our tent. Will definitely look for this place again the next time I come out!

Wow, it was raining HARD when we were driving towards the Peaceful Prairie location and the road condition concerned Lisa. She contacted us right away about getting into our spot and settled. Through the hip camp site/app and LIsa's guidance, we found our spot just fine and had a nice evening in the drizzle. Woke up to some beautiful fog and singing birds. The road does get a little greasy with that kind of rain, but we did fine.

Weekend Trip to Wildhorse Creek At BE Farm
I came here from Colorado for a weekend getaway and wasn't disappointed. The farm and flowers are beautiful. The spot I camped was right next to a little river. The owner, Billy, was very nice and helpful. The farm cat Sir Gordon camped with me for the weekend. You can pick and make your own flower arrangement during season. There is a water spigot and firewood for sale . The closest store is a dollar general about 10 minutes away. Farm is about 30 minutes east of Scott's Bluff Monument.

We had a fantastic time at my horse Campground. Billy‘s farm offered a very unique opportunity to be able to see and be part of a working farm in action. Billy was friendly and helpful. Interacting us to the campsite where we had adequate water and shade pretty much anything you could ask for he had thoughtfully delivered firewood to the site for us to use in the fire ring and showed us where how to get more in case we needed it. If you want your kids to have the opportunity to have a tractor driving lesson or see how commercial flowers or pumpkins are raised. This is your place. Billy can direct you to many other recreational opportunities in the area. Very close to Scott’s Bluff and chimney rockWe will go back here to camp anytime we get the opportunity to do so. Super fun we highly recommend it!!.

We spent two peaceful nights at the Cozy Cove campsite at Peaceful Prairie in July 2025. The campsite itself is true to its name - cozy. It is just several minutes to town, but feels like you are a world away with the prairie to yourself. Lisa provides a trash can, two tables, and two firepits, and firewood all immediately at the campsite itself, giving you a sense of being alone in the wilderness while still having the comforts of an established campground- truly the best of both worlds! Lisa was so friendly and kind. I would definitely recommend Peaceful Prairie and the Cozy Cove site in particular for the ultimate prairie camping experience! 🙂

The campsite is exactly what we expected. We had beautiful views of the national landmarks. And the stars at night were spectacular. There really isn’t much shade at all. So if you go during summer months bring a canopy of some sort. We didn’t use the shower. We weren’t too sure about the safety of bugs there. But over all

Lisa is super nice. The sites and amenities are very well maintained too! The views are phenomenal and I saw the most brilliant shooting star on our first night. A recommendation for campers at cozy canyon - use more guy-lines than you think you’ll need. It can be a bit of a wind tunnel. That being said, I’ll absolutely be camping at that site again.

It was so fun camping right by Scott's bluff! It made for really good camp photos having beautiful scenery in the background. Also, when we arrived it was very windy, but Lisa moved us to another available site that was shielded from the weather and closer to the entrance and bathroom. It was very nice of her!
