No water or sewer is provided. There is a porta potty on location from mid May until end of October. Must pack out all of your trash or be a accessed a cleaning fee per lot. Although wanting to keep this campground in a primitive state, we will be adding a few updates in coming years. Pets allowed on a leash only.

The smaller of the two parks in Caribou-Targhee National Forests, Caribou is a welterweight not to be underestimated. Just south of its older brother, this land spans Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho, and is a crucial spot for supporting caribou populations. None of the animals here are bashful: bison, moose, deer, mountain lions, falcons, elk, and even black bears abound! Beautiful to snap shot from a distance. Just south of the forest, Bear Lake is a fun spot to take a dip after you hike one of Caribou’s dozens of peaks (Mead Peak and Hawks Peak have gorgeous views, as does Big Elk Mountain at the northern tip of the park). At the south end, you’ll find campgrounds, fast flowing creeks, and the Minnetonka Cave at St. Charles Canyon. This is a site to see, but it stays 40 degrees down there all year so be sure to pack a coat, even if you’re sweating above ground. When you’re done, stop in the charming small town of Montpelier, surrounded by rolling hills and full of retro grocers and kitschy eateries. Yum!

It provides a large walk in shower, vanity and sink, outlet and standard flush toilet.   Candles, oil lanterns, propane for the BBQ grill, campfire ring, camp chairs, wood stove, towels, hot springs & river towels, bedding, pots, pans, utensils, basic camp supplies are all included! There is a separate shack with an electrical outlet, toaster oven, electric coffee pot, percolator, a single electric burner for the cooking supplies. There are 3 other rentals on this property. Each cabin has 1 - 1.5 acres of private use and are generously spaced out.The Homestead cabin is bordered by Little Trail Creek and the house pasture. There are 5 horses on site.  Absorkee Wilderness is in the back yard with thousands of miles of hiking trails. This is a Glamping experience. There my be wildlife - including bears, elk, deer, bugs or field mice at anytime. We have tried to preserve the Homestead cabin as much as possible to its original state. Had a great trip to this cozy little cabin. The cabin was clean, plenty of firewood provided, and the Jackery + lights were a nice touch. Great location close to hiking and Chico Hot Springs. Would stay again!

My husband and I where on our way to WY and it was getting late. All of a sudden it started to snow, we need a place to go for the night. I found Angel camp and it was so beautiful, and to our surprise it had electric hook ups so we even had heat thru night. I did need to call to ask a question and the host answered first ring and was very helpful and kind. This is such a wonderful camp sight. I would love to stay here again.

Amazing site! Very private, pull through that has plenty of woods to block the road (rarely saw any cars). Beautiful spot in the woods with a wonderful fireplace. Close to Chico hot springs but far enough away to think you’re the only ones out in the woods. Would definitely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Yellowstone Holiday

My little dog and I absolutely loved our stay at Yellowstone Holiday. Our cabin was super cozy with a little heater to keep us warm. During the day, we enjoyed the lakeside walks. I was able to do a load of laundry & take a nice hot shower. The staff were warm, kind, friendly, and helpful, and Penny loved stopping by for treats. I would absolutely stay here again.

Mike was great on answering all our questions and offering some suggestions on areas to visit. If going to the Yellowstone area this is definitely the place to stay! Sportsman's Retreat was perfect for us! Tucked away from the crowds but still right next to downtown Gardiner. There are 2 asphalt paved spaces available with full hookups. I use a 30 amp service but I believe 50 amp plug was there too. Very clean setup with grass behind the pad, picnic bench and a large fenced grass pet area. An Elk cow met us each morning like she was the neighborhood pet, but try to approach her. They are wild animals and unpredictable. Especially if her calf is nearby. Also Grizzly bears at times. DO NOT let your pet wander unleashed or leave food or trash outside. We loved our stay there and highly recommend it.

This was the perfect spot to explore Yellowstone National Park from; it's minutes from the North Entrance! It's on a quiet street with the only noise being from the neighbourhood elk calling to one another! The owners were friendly and easy-going with helpful suggestions. It's a nice, paved, full hookup place to park your rig, with a picnic table. The main streets of Gardiner are walkable as well. Very affordable for the area too!
