One mile from Hwy 93, you can hear traffic noise sometimes. Planes do fly over once in awhile as well. This is a dry camp and rustic camping, sites are fairly far apart, ground is uneven. Two blocks from the Bitterroot river fishing access.
This property is so beautiful and peaceful out here at night. Seasonal Spring fed pond, Ponderosa pine trees, fallen white birch, rustic and gorgeous. Some of my camp spots are on rough terrain. I always suggest you get out and walk around to see what you can manage with your vehicle.
The idea of my place is more wilderness camping, there is wildlife that come through.
RV camp spots on the east and west end of the pond. Camp spot out by the wooden round pen on the west side.
Completely private, borders 2000 acres of a bird sanctuary. Two blocks from Bitterroot river canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swim, trails, hiking, scenery,

My pond is spring fed, which means that is goes up and down with the seasons and run off from the snow in the mountains and collects cotton from the trees when they shed. As the summer goes by the pond levels go way down, please be aware of that.

Fire pit onsite (but be aware there may be fire prohibitions during your stay). The river runs very low beginning in July and is plentiful in the spring.
The location says Ovando, however, this site is one mile west of Clearwater Junction. Between Paws Up and the big cow at Clearwater Junction.

The idea of my place is more wilderness camping, there is wildlife that come through.

Completely private, borders 2000 acres of a bird sanctuary. Two blocks from Bitterroot river canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swim, trails, hiking, scenery,
wildlife.
My pond is spring fed, which means that is goes up and down with the seasons and run off from the snow in the mountains and collects cotton from the trees when they shed. As the summer goes by the pond levels go way down, please be aware of that.

Hello, we have three acres with ClarkFork River access . Easy access to everything in Missoula. Very close to bike trails. Just a block west of Reserve Street. 10 minute drive to university. We are excited to share our wonderful property and excellent location with you. We welcome tents, RVs and campers. Non-vicious dogs are allowed. You must pick up after your dog. We are located in a part of town that is near Eco compost so on occasion if they turn a pile or if the wind shifts it is noticeably. Safely leave your camp in the shade, under tall pine trees. Enjoy horses grazing nearby and explore Greenough, the last best place. The best swimming hole on the Clearwater River is located less than a mile away. World class fishing and floating on multiple rivers including the Big Blackfoot are nearby. Salmon Lake and Seeley Lake have limited campsites but are located just 10 to 20 miles away from this spot for fabulous fishing and boating adventures. Wake up next to the Clearwater River just steps from your campsite. Watch eagles soar overhead, sandhill cranes fly into a nearby field, and gaze at the layers and layers of stars at night.
Clearwater Camp provides private access to 13 acres near Clearwater Junction. Use Clearwater Camp as a home base as you explore all the lakes near Seeley Lake, many nearby access sites on the Blackfoot River, or pop into nearby Missoula for your city needs. Or simply hang out and enjoy the site.
You can park your van or RV on a gravel area or pitch your tent anywhere on the property. There is also a tipi with 2 cots located on the site that is available for you to stay in.
There is a locked A-Frame camper that is parked there full time, but nobody will stay there during your visit. Port-a-potty onsite (cleaned weekly). Picnic table onsite. Fire pit onsite (but be aware there may be fire prohibitions during your stay). The river runs very low beginning in July and is plentiful in the spring.
The location says Ovando, however, this site is one mile west of Clearwater Junction. Between Paws Up and the big cow at Clearwater Junction.

This is my 3rd year returning to this HipCamp. As always the host is friendly, the bathroom is the cleanest outhouse set up I have ever seen. I had electric hookup with a nice fire pit and firewood. This ranch provides great views and on this visit I was lucky enough to have Elk bed down in the field behind my camper. Great experience as always.

Space is level and quiet. Plenty of space to set up solar panels and do dog training. Space is far enough away from structures that quiet generators can't be heard at all by neighbors. Also managed neighborhood dog walks without issue. Drivers were slow and courteous to pedestrians.
Was quickly greeted by two curious cats and enjoyed watching a couple young deer play in the grass just 20 feet from my trailer.
Would stay again.

The hosts are always great! I'm the evening and morning we could hear elk calling in the hillside next to where we stayed. Also there are deer that come into the camp spot. It's a very quiet place that my wife and I love and will come back to many more times!

Smith Creek Ranch has to the most beautiful property we have ever stay on! The star-gazing was top tier and the wild life was so fun to hear (elk was bugling and chirping) and watch (there was tons of white-tail deer playing around). The site was super easy to find as well as the bathrooms on the property. Don really has done a great job with the place!

This is a lovely spot. There is easy access from Hwy 200, a nice big turnaround if you are pulling a camper, and a trail that leads down to the water for some relaxing time watching the water go by. If you have pets, there is a barbed wire fence that helpfully separates the land from the road. We'll definitely go back.

Donald’s ranch was a beautiful spot to park our van for the night! We walked the property after we arrived and set up camp in the Dark Skies campground spot. The creek was dry this time of year, but the night was beautiful. We awoke to deer, meadowlarks, and quail. So peaceful!

Listen to those reviews because they are RIGHT! Booked a month ahead as we are on a long roadtrip. This place did not disappoint one bit and Dolly was an absolute gem!
Maybe the porta potty is a complaint in other reviews but it’s super well maintained and clean. This is NOT a bougie campground. It is real camping.
Hope to make it back again soon and excited to see the additions Dolly wants to make!
