Booking is available to book under EXTRAS (please book in advance). -ABOUT THE SITE: You will have a large, heavily shaded space with a yard: picnic table with tablecloth, chairs, umbrella; gas grill; hammock; firepit with chairs; outdoor shower with heat-on-demand. We have two driveways, one in the front of the property where you will enter, it is exclusively yours. In the back, there is another driveway/entrance that comes in from another street. This private residence is shared with the owner's residence and a guest cabin. RV/Camper must have a toilet. While we do not have disposal on site, there are two conveniently located RV dumping stations, one 4 miles directly north in Whitefish and one 7 miles directly south in Kalispell. LOCATION: At the edge of Glacier National Park in the Northern Rocky Mountains is a vibrant town built around a shared appreciation of the wild. From the mountains rich with forests, lakes and rivers to the welcoming downtown, this is a place worth exploring and protecting for all those who love it. We are a suburban half-acre, heavily wooded lot conveniently located 10 minutes south of downtown WHITEFISH and 12 minutes north of the hub of KALISPELL. We are only a 25-minute drive to GLACIER NATIONAL PARK. 12 minutes to WHITEFISH LAKE BEACH. 25 minutes to FLATHEAD LAKE BEACH and 15 minutes to LES MASON STATE PARK/BEACH (where dogs are allowed). WHITEFISH MOUNTAIN RESORT is a 20-minute drive up the mountain. A ski resort in the winter, there is a lot to do in the summer: Zip lines, mountain biking, slides for the kids and more - SkiWhitefish.com. The CANADIAN BORDER is only 60 miles north. Charming downtown WHITEFISH has music in the park, great restaurants and shops, a golf course and, a river runs through it for paddle boarding, and kayaking. The WHITEFISH DOG PARK is a sprawling, 5-acre dog park in a picturesque setting with stunning views of mountains, passing trains, wide open space for lots of play areas, beach & pond, picnic tables, wheelchair accessible, fully accessible paved paths, benches, a drinking fountain for dogs and people, community pavilion, small dog area, agility course, dog wash station and trees. There are HIKING TRAILS ONLY 4 BLOCKS FROM THE SITE, suitable for mountain bikers, children and is very dog friendly. Booking must have a 24-hour notice, no same-day bookings. Please note that we are not far from Highway 93 so you can hear the traffic. If you are looking for a super quiet, isolated site far from activity, this may not be the best fit for you. The RV site is about 130 feet from the house and is surrounded by natural trees and planted blue spruce that make it very private. it has a small lawn area, a rock patio with picnic table and propane BBQ. There is about a 15 foot space on the utilities side of the RV and then an 8 foot privacy fence between our property and the neighbors property. We are conveniently located near Whitefish, Kalispell, and Glacier National Park and Whitefish Mountain Resort. Lots to do! We are not near Helena Flats as the description says. We are just south of Whitefish about 4 miles off of Hwy 93.

We have a flock of laying hens that forage around the property and provide us with eggs. The south facing and gentle downward sloping hillside lets the morning sun shine on our honey bee apiary, a fledgling orchard, greenhouse, and garden, all of which seasonally provide fruits and vegetables that we hope to share with folks. Also on the farm is a cozy pottery studio where Patti is the sole craftsperson making functional pottery for everyday use. Stone Cottage Pottery and Farm exists to be a place of renewal and retreat, to create useful things and experiences that help enhance life’s simple pleasures, and a bring sense of comfort and joy to people’s lives. Learn more about this land:Our property is a great spot to make your base camp for daily adventures in this region. We’re located just 3 paved miles off of US. HWY 2 and nestled into a private hillside, away from the few people that do live in our neighborhood. We’re an hour from Glacier National Park, 45 minutes from the resort towns of Whitefish, and Bigfork (both with great, independent shops and restaurants), and Flathead Lake, the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi. There is easy access to the Lost Trail National Wildlife Refuge within 15 minutes from the campsite. Our driveway goes right uphill and then take a left onto the grass-covered forest road on our property. With two switchbacks, you'll climb about 100 feet to your private campsite which includes a wooden platform, screened room, hammocks, cozy chairs, picnic table, composting toilet, solar shower, a changing room, and a full view of the lake. You’ll be camping at the highest point on our property, where you'll take in 360 degree views of sub-alpine forest, a rocky ravine and almost the full length of the beautiful Little Bitterroot Lake with public access less than 3 miles away! You'll gaze down and see glimpses of our tiny farm and may see our Shetland Sheep, Alpacas and Cashmere goats foraging, our chickens scratching about, our tiny orchard, the 120-year old log cabin, originally built up the road when the Northern Pacific Railroad went through this area and that we dismantled and rebuilt here on our farm, and of course the tiny pottery studio where Patti works most days creating pottery designed to celebrate the simple pleasures in life and the comforts of home. Less than three miles down the road is the Hilltop Hitching Post, a sweet local hangout for food, drinks and good conversation. You'll pass a convenience store/gas station and post office on your way to our farm. Looking back toward the ravine, you may see some wildlife milling about, likely including whitetail deer with a possible sighting of elk, moose, and black bear. Frequently eagles and other large birds of prey can be observed overhead at the campsite riding the air currents down to the lake. We are surrounded by beautiful mountain lakes, hiking trails, biking, fishing, kayaking, floating, and paddling adventures.
