Gallogly Hot Springs, also known as Lost Trail Hot Springs since the 1970s, offers a unique retreat for travelers crossing the Continental Divide at Gibbons Pass. Nestled in a secluded area, this natural hot spring has served as a peaceful resting spot for those embarking on the challenging ascent of the old Indian trail, which climbs approximately 2,000 feet over just three miles. The soothing waters provide a perfect respite before tackling the strenuous journey ahead. The history of Gallogly Hot Springs dates back to 1892 when a woman built a cabin to keep her invalid son close to the healing waters. Although she only stayed for about two years and left the cabin unfinished, her efforts marked the beginning of human connection to this tranquil site. In 1894, Mr. Denning became the first to channel the hot water through a pipe to his comfortable cabin, which featured a cozy stone fireplace located about a quarter-mile from the springs. Unfortunately, fate intervened when a tree fell and crushed his cabin while he was away, prompting him to relocate. Today, Gallogly Hot Springs remains a hidden gem, inviting visitors to experience its natural beauty and therapeutic waters. My husband and I stayed in one of the RV sites with our dog and it worked out great! We arrived pretty late at night due to a flat tire but Doug left everything we needed at the entrance for us. So glad we found this spot!

We enjoyed our stay at Camp Sula. The property was easy to find, quiet, and clean. Communication with the owners was excellent. The bathroom facilities were by far the best we’ve enjoyed on our journeys. Not only were they clean, with plenty of hot water and great water pressure, my wife said the air freshener smell brought back great memories of the clean bathroom at church from her childhood.

We had a great overnight stay at Boulder Creek Lodge! The camp site was easy to find and navigate. The site has amazing shower and toilet facilities that were very clean and great to use. The site has all the camping amenities you require, water, electric and sewage hookups. They also had a leisure room with pool table and table tennis, which was great to relax in the evening!! A great camp site and would definitely stay again!!

We stayed in the Elk Tipi here the Owners are fantastic. It’s clean, calm, and peaceful. The owners are so friendly, they have an arcade, two kitchens, showers, laundry, you’re welcome to use any of them. They also offer a food menu of pizza, and other items. We will definitely return

Wow, what a great place to crash! Right off the highway and despite some highway noise this is a very relaxing place to stay. Loved the ducks and chickens and a cat that was curious but not bold enough to come in and visit. The shower/toilet/sauna setup is great! We stayed in a “glamping tent” which was closer to a fully equipped room (they provided towels and shower supplies!) but would have been comf in our own tent on the creek with fire pit. This is a work in progress, a family raising kids and building their dream, something we can relate to. Would very much stay again!!

2 nights at Sanctuary Farm Yurt Glamping

We loved our time at Sanctuary Farm. The farm itself is on a private road, off a minor country road in a heavily treed area - The drive there is spectacular. You know you are in for something special! The yurt was placed well away from the owner's home, which gave lots of privacy and the night sky is DARK, so perfect for stargazing. The composting sawdust outhouse was a short walk from the yurt & surprisingly pleasant - no odor or flies and plenty of ventilation. 1000 times nicer than a port-o-potty. The solar heated camp shower provided by the host worked great. Just be sure to shower in the evening after the water has had all day to heat up! The optional breakfast was delish - definitely worth the cost & we ate out for our other meals, so never used the outdoor kitchen. We enjoyed our time here & would definitely recommend it to others seeking a stay off-the-beaten path.

This site was beautiful! Lynda was so kind and helpful. There is a nice trail near the cabin and is easily accessible (it is steep though!). The cabin was perfect, the pictures don’t do it justice. Our dog loved the fenced in area. It’s also the perfect place to look at the stars. Highly recommend!

It’s mostly a nice RV park with a separate area for tents and camper vans. But it’s good. The showers and restroom were sweet, and the host came over to greet me almost immediately. The place also has a restaurant, a store, and some other storefronts. Have t seen that in places like this before.
