Though this is a new listing on Hipcamp, I've been hosting on another platform since 2017 with consistently stellar reviews. I’ve decided to switch to Hipcamp because it seems like a better fit for my low key, rustic offerings. My one acre property is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded mostly by uninhabited lots. There are two wall tent listings, and the kitchen and bathroom facilities are communal. I also live on property with my two dogs. Daisy is a pit mix and Frodo is a Pyrenees/Anatolian mix livestock guardian dog. They are friendly and like to hang out in my fenced backyard. Frodo does bark at night to ward off bears and other unwanted visitors. There is also a train nearby that runs all hours of the night. If you're looking for lodging in Coram, you're going to hear the train. For these reasons, earplugs are provided. In addition to hosting Hipcampers, I'm a host on Workaway, and so there may be workstay volunteers on property as well during your stay. If so they also use the bathroom facilities but they share my outdoor kitchen with me. I'm in the process of developing the property into a permaculture homestead, expanding my garden, and doing more natural building projects. If you share these interests be sure to let me know!

Weekend Trip to Glacier Glamping
Exceeded my expectations! Comfortable bed, fan kept it nice and cool on a warm summer night. I was anticipating a cold shower and a pit toilet but had heat and running water! Very convenient location to spend yours days in Glacier National Park and spend evenings in Columbia Falls for dinner or drinks. Enjoyed deer and birds from the hammock and appreciated the cold and dry food storage. Towels, sheets, and tent were all clean. I would recommend this spot to anyone who wants a step up from camping or (like me) is flying in and doesn’t want to deal with tent setup!

Site fits any size of camper (Google Earth Street View available for exploring the area) Centered in the middle of small dam town Hungry Horse, Montana, this off-grid RV spot is a perfect location for exploring Hungry Horse and the surrounding towns including Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Kalispell, and Coram. Convenient basecamp for GNP exploration, it's only a 10-minute drive to the West Entrance of Glacier National Park. The site is within walking distance of several restaurants, grocery store, laundromat, gas station, post office, bar, dispensary, and souvenir shops with local products. It is also within walking distance of the old Hungry Horse School (200 North St) that has a great playground for kids. At the RV site, beautiful mountain views can be seen in the distance. Relax at the rear of the site at the picnic table tucked in with nature. Set up your lawn chairs on the small hill in the rear for a perched view of the site amongst the trees. Across the street is a small mini farm owned by a relative. She has goats, chickens, ducks, among other animals that can be seen from the street. This site is in a neighborhood, so expect to hear some occasional neighborhood activity. If you are sensitive to noise when sleeping, you may want to consider earplugs. Hungry Horse Dam is 4.5 miles away, with construction first starting in 1948 and completed in 1953. At the time of completion, it was the second-highest and third-largest concrete dam in the world. Annually, it generates about a billion kilowatt-hours of power from the water passing through. Hungry Horse is an unincorporated community and has a population of 634. The Flathead Valley is known for its recreational activities including hiking, fishing, camping, biking, water sports, and observing local wildlife. Flathead Lake is also a popular recreational area 30 miles away and the largest natural fresh water lake in the West.

4 tent/small camper sites nestled in a wooded yard at the South East corner of the charming little town of Hungry Horse. It’s about a 10-15 minute drive from Glacier National Park. You’ll be nestled into the canyon that leads directly to the park. Feel cozy and comfortable in our scenic little side yard. Sites are small but allow plenty of space for smaller campers, vehicles, tents and all sites include a picnic table and access to a water hydrant! We do allow pets as well! An ideal location for those looking to explore all the Flathead Valley has to offer. The 1.25 acre yard is on the end of a normally quiet street. The spots are plenty shady and cool given all of the tree coverage in the yard. Spots are all fairly flat and the perfect sizes for a group of tents or a small camper and some vehicles. Between sites 2 and 3 are hammocks set up for guests to use. There is a playground near by across the street at the old school for kids to enjoy. ***At this time, THERE ARE NO TOILETS so campers must be self contained. Due to previous reviews, we are trying to make this even more clear. We expect to have a port-a-potty set up by summer 2026. We do now have hydrants for clean, potable water!!! We are working on getting more amenities to these sites in the near future. We do allow pets at this time but they must be leashed and looked after responsibly. There are other pets at this property as well as at surrounding neighbor's homes so please exercise caution and make sure pets are well behaved and polite guests. Thank you!

Come enjoy peace and quiet in the beautiful meadows near our home. We are located on 40 acres that include forested trails, a large pond, two small ponds, a creek, and frequent wildlife as well as spectacular stargazing at night. All sites have a campfire ring and picnic table. We provide a unique eco-camping experience in contrast to the crowded campground/RV park, and we are only 6 miles away from the entrance to Glacier National Park! Please let us know if you have multiple tents or vehicles as some sites may be a better choice for you than others. No hookups are provided – dry camping only. Parking for larger vehicles/trailers is available at sites 1-6 - an open, flat meadow with the pond on the other side of the road. Tents are welcome in all sites; although, we recommend the back meadow sites (7 and up) for more secluded tent campers (especially in July) as it has less traffic and more privacy. Sites 7-20 (the back meadow sites) have parking for vehicles 26' or less in total length. All sites have access to vault toilets, and all sites are back-in sites with partial shade. Because of the proximity to Glacier National Park and the main HWY, traffic noise and train noise can be heard at the campsites. Visitors are ask to keep their speed to a minimum to reduce dust on the dirt on Greens Road. We are just a short bike ride away (two minutes by car) from attractions such as the Whiskey Barn, The Paul Bunyan Bar & grill, Glacier Hi-Line Ropes Course, and the Amazing Fun Center, maze, and mini golf. It is also easy access to the Gateway to Glacier Bike path. E-bike rentals are across the street from us. Closest Gas station is the Cenex in Coram (1.5 mi away). Closest public (free) landfill dump is 2.2 miles toward Columbia Falls at 9626 Us HWY 2 E. Near Paul Bunyan Bar and Grill (which is also a good restaurant near us). Look for the gated entry and small sign marking Flathead Landfill. Closest grocery is in Hungry Horse at Canyon Foods Grocery (3.5 miles away). There is a laundromat next to this grocery store. Closest dump and water fill up for a vehicle with a holding tank is Mikes Conoco at 1645 9th st W in Columbia Falls (8.9 mi away). Closest town with wifi, cafes, restaurants, urgent care and larger grocery stores is Columbia Falls (9 miles away). Nestled on the shores of Ducklake this 2 acre parcel is an ideal location to kick back , enjoy and explore the eastern side of Glacier park. We are 20 mins from the park gates, 20 mins from Many Glacier and about 40 mins to Waterton park. The gradual sloping beach is perfect for all kinds of water sports and recreation. Many grassed areas or shady treed sites and the sites on the beach with breathtaking sunrises, sunsets and most amazing stars at night. Ducklake is well known for its trophy rainbow trout as well. We have 4 kayaks, a canoe, paddle boat, little fishing boat with electric motor, an assortment of rods and lures, propane BBQ, solo smokeless campfire pits ( firewood can be purchased on site) and propane fire pits. All for guest to enjoy and use on a first come first serve basis.

The Mooseshroom is an awesome camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts available for booking on our property. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings. ***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside considerably at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. Most guests are truly fine with it.
