Lakeshore Cabins and Campground (established as Lake Shore Lodge) first opened its gates under the original owners, ES and Helyn Carroll, in 1971. Linn and Kevin Krieg, ranchers in the Madison Valley, bought Lakeshore in 1981, and their family retains ownership today.
In the early days, Lakeshore felt hidden away: a short drive down a dirt road, tucked away in a stand of mature cottonwood trees. Lakeshore soon became a family summer retreat where guests returned year after year. This cabin went above my expectations! There was electricity, a ceiling fan, window fan, electric heater, nice mattresses, outdoor chairs, corn hole, nice bathrooms… I could go on! I’d love to come back just to spend more time by this beautiful lake.

Our stay was perfect! Everything was as it was described, our host was so helpful, even making a binder of local things to do, restaurants with portions of menus included, and our host was easily accessible and prompt to answering my chats with any questions! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a step up from tenting, and the sunset is unreal here! Our host even had a small bag of snacks and a couple water bottles in the Gnome Home for us too, how sweet!

This place was awesome! Super clean cabin w wood burning stove, and propane two burner stovetops and grill which will allow you to cook anything you need. They have the cooking equipment too.
Very secluded and directly next to the creek. I went with my daughter and we had a fantastic time. Wished we’d have stayed for another night. It would accommodate a larger group easily, especially if you’d rent both log cabins.
This is a great spot to do a layover day or two while visiting Yellowstone. We used it as a Basecamp for full days spent inside the park, but it would have been fun to just chill at the property too.
They provide cots with nice fresh sleeping bags for sleeping. Very comfortable ~ glamping at its finest. We did bring a solar shower and heated up water to clean up. That is the one thing to keep in mind~ it was no problem for us.
All in all, it was the most fun and unique stay of our trip through Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Glacier National Parks.

I surprised my guy for our stay at the Chicory Gnome Home and what a fun surprise! The tiny house was perfect for our 1 night stay before heading to Yellowstone. Checkin was easy-peasy and Sheila is very responsive to questions. The animals were very polite for our intrusion on their property. The sunset and sunrise were gorgeous with mountains surrounding the area. Convenient location to the North Entrance. Would love to come back next summer!

Sheila was the kindest host we could have asked for. The door is as small as listed, but it feels quite roomy once you’re inside. The property was beautiful and full of life. We had an amazing time at Becky’s cabin. This cabin is remote but very close to Yellowstone mammoth entrance which is great! They provide you will everything you need to cook which was nice including the propane for the stove and lots of pots and pans and utensils. There are lots of trails to hike nearby and with the river, lots to explore right by the cabin. We had a lovely visit. Like they say, the road getting there is all wheel drive friendly. We hope to be back!

Lovely property but one small complaint....we booked 2 nights, got there an hour before check in closed as per their listing, but when we got there it was already closed. I tried calling (roaming on my cell phone since I am from out of country) and texting with no answer, as well as no response on the app. We ended up having to book a motel room (expensive) instead. The next morning i had a message saying the key to the cabin was sitting in an envelope near the office. There was no message telling me it was there, or that they were closing earlier than their stated time. They did offer to give us another free night, but we were on a road trip and had to move on to our next destination. Absolutely recommend, but be very careful with posted check in times, or it could cost you haha

Five stars doesn’t even feel like enough for this place. The cabin in Paradise Valley was everything I could’ve hoped for and more. The host was incredibly responsive from start to finish, and every detail was thoughtfully communicated, which made the whole experience seamless.
What really made it special, though, was the setting. The “music” of nature out there is something else—quiet, grounding, and unforgettable. And the night sky… absolutely unreal. I’ve never seen stars like that before.
This was one of those stays that sticks with you. I’ll definitely be back.
