You're on the shores of Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake, this side of the Mississippi, and home of Wildhorse Island, where the Boone and Crocket world record Bighorn Sheep was discovered, killed by winter weather. This 2160 acre island is also the home of deer, mountain lions, bears, several species of eagles, and wild horses. Day hiking is allowed and is a 5-minute boat ride from your beach spot. Just slightly over an hour to Glacier National Park and access to all the mountain lakes, rivers and streams to explore, you won't be bored. Right around the corner, you have access to a boat ramp at one of the state-owned Parks with public showers, if the lake water is too cold. Cherry season this year will be from July 18th to Aug 5th. Nearby attractions include: Access to Flathead Lake is less than a 1/2 mile down the driveway. Flathead Lake (Finley Point) State Park is only 2 miles away. At the entrance to Finley Point, we have two great Restaurants, Finley Point Grill and the Smokehouse (Highly Recommended!). The town of Polson is 20 minutes away. You can find everything you need from supplies, to bars, restaurants, boat rentals, public parks, and even a casino. The town of Big Fork is only 45 minutes away and is a must-see. This town has an old-west feel with great shops, restaurants, a live theater, and an old iron bridge over the river. Glacier National Park is an hour and twenty minutes away. The driveway up to the orchard is made of gravel and is a bit steep at the beginning, At times there can be a few ruts so be cautious. Most standard passenger cars can make it up the driveway with no problem. Due to campers having trouble navigating the driveway with trailers we no longer allow trailers or RV's over 22 feet. Lowered vehicles are not recommended.

You are allowed to pull your truck through the middle of the aisle between the lots. However, once you reconnect, you will need to back your rig out unless no one is in Lot 2 and then you can pull through. Our site features wonderful lake views and we have full hook-ups (water, sewer & electricity - 50 amp) for your convenience . We have a gazebo with a gas-fire patio table - If you use the gas fire patio table, I do ask that you fill it before you leave so the next guest can use it. Dogs are allowed but need to be leashed and due to fire restrictions no wood fires are allowed (only gas). This pond unfortunately does not have any fish, but it is very relaxing to paddle a kayak or canoe in and out of the willow branches that surround it. You will have a quiet, serene and private location, hidden by the canopy of willows that grow along the pond. The views are spectacular and the nearby activities make this a great spot for any outdoor enthusiast!

We loved our time at Sanctuary Farm. The farm itself is on a private road, off a minor country road in a heavily treed area - The drive there is spectacular. You know you are in for something special! The yurt was placed well away from the owner's home, which gave lots of privacy and the night sky is DARK, so perfect for stargazing. The composting sawdust outhouse was a short walk from the yurt & surprisingly pleasant - no odor or flies and plenty of ventilation. 1000 times nicer than a port-o-potty. The solar heated camp shower provided by the host worked great. Just be sure to shower in the evening after the water has had all day to heat up! The optional breakfast was delish - definitely worth the cost & we ate out for our other meals, so never used the outdoor kitchen. We enjoyed our time here & would definitely recommend it to others seeking a stay off-the-beaten path.

This piece of property had the elements I needed to relax after a long overdue planned vacation. The camp host was phenomenal at communicating and offered numerous local options in the area to eat at. They have 7 sites and we stayed at site #3 the deck offered a beautiful view of the water. Several communal sites with BBQ and pub style seating. The outdoor lights at night were so nice to have when night swimming. Had two dogs who loved swimming in the lake. Very well maintained property the owners truly take pride in this camp and it shows. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs to reconnect with Mother Nature!

Weekend Trip to Peaceful Lake View Retreat

Highly recommend this cabin!! The hosts were incredibly friendly and always available. The cabin checked all our boxes, spotlessly clean and felt homey. The location was peaceful and beautiful, set in the countryside yet conveniently close to must-see attractions and nearby cities. A solid 10/10!!
