A Pavilion is on the property, it is the only site that has electricity. Outdoor lighting is hung in the persimmon tree grove for evening ambience. We are located fifteen miles north of Branson. Walking distance to Bear Creek Wine Company. They serve Pizza, Wine Tasting, and more. Five minutes from Wolfe Mountain Ziplining and Snowflex, also Bear Creek horse back riding trails. We have a well on the property for water. Feel free to bring your own water bottles as well.

The pasture is quite visible from Old Route 66, nearly adjoining it. Therefore people traveling “the Mother Road” find it convenient to stay with us. Grass is the best forage for horses, especially older ones, so we take care of our pastures, making for beautiful scenery for campers, too. Plus the entire back mile is bordered by old forest. And there is a swimming hole not a half mile away. This is a quiet and private site, bordered by a neighbor's old forest on back, other neighbor's cattle pasture on side, and you're in one of the pastures used by the Horse Sanctuary. (You are camping about 1/4 mile, more or less, from our house.) We regularly see coyote, wild turkeys, deer, fireflies, and the like. We are just 1/2 mile off Old Route 66, therefore there are quirky little museums and great restaurants (for such a rural area!). Plus we are only about an hour's drive from Branson. MO. which is a known tourist attraction.

Edgewater Beach Resort is a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. There are 2 RV sites at Edgewater that are located just a few feet from the water's edge. Lake Taneycomo is a cold- water lake that is famous for trout fishing. The resort has 3 docks that you can fish off of. You can also fish anywhere along the water's edge. Each RV site has water, sewer, and electric hookups, wifi, a private picnic table, and a private firepit/ grill. The sites are separated by a privacy fence for the utmost privacy. The resort has boat rentals, a fish cleaning station, an outdoor pool that is open from Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend, a playground, and a laundry room. I also have boat slips available to rent for $20 a night. The resort is next to Empire Park which has lots of fishing spots, a playground, a disc golf course, and walking trails. The resort is 16 miles from The Branson Landing. You can get there by car or boat. Ask me about adding a boat slip to your reservation or about getting a discount for a long-term stay. I offer a 25% discount for stays of a month or more. It is common to see a large amount of duckweed in the lake, especially in the coves, during periods of high heat. It isn't attractive, but it is harmless. The maintenance crew at the resort constantly works to keep the coves looking as nice as possible, but it is a natural body of water, so there's only so much that can be done.*

Great for dry camping OR parking near the home for water (with hose) and electrical (with extension cord connected to 15-amp standard household outlet - you need adapter). Functional farm for animal lovers - goats, sheep, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowl, chickens (Animals vary by time of year). Pond has fish. Short drive to Lebanon (all amenities), Bennett Spring State Park, and Springfield. 1.5 hours to Branson, Table Rock Lake, and other state parks. Fresh eggs included with advance request (Max 8 subject to availability) Vehicles + trailers (combined) greater than 30 feet not recommended when grounds are wet. May be difficult to turn around. Comments: 1) We have many projects in progress in the front of the property, but the back is mostly clear. 2) We strongly recommend repellent for ticks, chiggers, spiders, mosquitos, and flies. 3) The Cicada season is starting (May 2024). We recommend earplugs if that sound bothers you. 4) When it rains, the dirt roads leading to the back of the property get muddy and hard to drive. If you aren't driving a 4x4, park near the house on the gravel driveway.

We are a small hobby farm with a dog, chickens, a small fruit orchard, vineyard, and garden!! On the north end of the property we created a playground with a jungle gym, swings, trampoline, playhouses, outside polyjohn/toilet, and a 16' pool. This property is pet friendly but be warned we do have a large dog (very friendly)! We have power to support smaller 20amp campers with water and a dump station. An outdoo shower will be available in July 2024.

Hot showers, 2 solar heated shower houses (seasonal frost to frost), 2 restrooms, a hand washing station, and a hand laundry tub. We sell farm fresh eggs, and baked goods(homemade breads, cinnamon rolls, cookies, muffins, and many fresh seasonal vegetables as well picked to order,and handmade natural products.

Our property is 5 acres so your walk won't be too far to your camp, but you may want to consider the uphill and rocky trails to your campsite when packing.   Being good to Mother Earth is at the heart of what we do. We prioritize sustainability with a newly constructed outhouse featuring a composting toilet, ensuring your comfort while respecting the environment.  This Autumn you'll find that we are working on glade restoration throughout our property by thinning out eastern red cedar and native plantings! Our inspiration for Camp Fernweh is the "sleep-away scout camps" we never got to attend. Workshops, campfire book chats and simple camping are what we do best!
