We are only a couple miles from the beautiful Elk River where many come to canoe, raft and kayak every year! We recommend the premier outfitter River Ranch Resort if you choose to book a float trip! Other great features in our immediate vicinity is Bluff Dweller Cave and our local 9 hole golf course Elk River Country Club. Other things to note Our black lab, Dog-dog is very excited to make new friends. He is harmless but if he gets to be a nuisance just toss some water on him. We bought our land in 2004 for riding and getting away. Built a cabin for us and our 6 children to stay in, when we came riding.  We have been told that these hills were once used as strawberry farms. We still find wild strawberries growing. The hills we ride and hike in, were once used by Jessie James and his gang.  They robbed the local bank in Pineville, MO.  And the first Jessie James movie, filmed in 1939, with Tyrone Power as Jessie James and Henry Fonda played Frank James.

Weekend Trip to Beaver Lake Glamping & RV Resort

Nice little sleeping cabin. Perfect if your wanting somewhere to lay your head for the night. Mini Fridge, microwave, and AC. No cook stove, but there is a camping grill located just outside. Nice little picnic table just outside also. A little close to the road, but all in all a good stay.

We had a great time here. Beautiful land and cozy cabin. Very comfortable and great kitchen set up with induction stove and convection countertop oven. Everything was very clean and well stocked with everything from board games to laundry soap. The hosts John and Ginny are nice and welcoming. We will definitely come back when we can stay longer.

Weekend Trip to Route 62 Motor Resort

We had such a great experience at the Rt. 62 campground. We stayed in the Bungalow cabin with our dogs. The grounds were lovely with a lot of different activities. The jacuzzi tub was a fun addition. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay there again!

Great place for hiking and getting away in the woods. The trails are very well marked and the ropes help those of us that are , let’s just say, out of shape😆. Will definitely be back. Carol has thought of everything you could need and then some! Love her and her land!
