Learn more about this land:This Homestead is located deep in the back of cedar gap. There is a large network of dirt roads that can be hiked that surmount to about 4.7 miles throughout the rural community below the mountain the homestead is on. There is a creek on the property at the bottom of the mountain, bird watching, camping, metal detecting and Fossil finding is also available. Cannabis consumption is permitted for medical patients. Also keep in mind this is not a farm or a ranch just a recreational project / homestead my wife and I have. There will not be many if any people that you will see on the property. Unless I am around doing work somewhere.

Float, Fish, Swim or vacation in the Ozarks. We have approximately 3 acers of the 15 we own set aside for camping. Plenty of room for two campsites on cleared, level land adjacent to the James River. We offer a dumpsite for holding tanks, water from our well to fill your water tank and electricity to charge devices and RV batteries at my barn. Also in 2023 I added a port a potty for tent campers. Generator rental available. Located about halfway between Springfield, MO. and Branson, MO. Nearby attractions include canoe rental, trout fishing, and mountain bike park. Please note, This campground is located in a floodplain and weather related cancellations are common. If you are camping to be close to nearby attractions or don't mind a muddy, flooded river I can let you camp on higher ground. Not quite as private but still lots of room. Fish, Fish, Fish. This river is primed for fishing. You will have to bring your own boat, or float as I don't have good river bank fishing access. There is a state park boat ramp a short distance away. The steps in the photos are plenty sturdy to tie boats to overnight. This river is fishable with flat bottom jet drive boats most of the spring and early summer and floatable year round. You can float to your campsite and relax instead of waiting in line at the boat ramp. Also we are located about 13 miles from Crane Creek, A blue ribbon trout park. You can camp here and fish there.

Take a look at our trail map if interested in hiking the trails. The ranch is just 3 miles from Vera Cruz Access (Conservation area for fishing, kayaking, swimming) by gravel road. Located only 11 miles from the new Bryant Creek State Park, opened in 2022. There is also guided fishing, day fishing and pay per pound Trout at Rockbridge, 13 miles away. Just 22 miles to canoe & kayaking at Twin Bridges, 37 miles to Tecumseh Park Fishing Access where the North Fork River runs into the Norfork Lake for Striped Bass and Trout. So much to do and see in our area, you'll want to plan on staying a while ;)

This one of kind campsite is located just a few miles East of Ava, Mo. The site has a 80sq ft canvas cabin style tent that is not only carpeted and fully furnished, but also equipped with a "sky gazer" retractable roof. Lighting for the site is provided by a portable power unit which is available for guests to charge any of their electronic devices as well. A picnic table with umbrella, a detached restroom, and a fire pit are also available for guest use. The property offers easy access to Whites creek as well as walking trails to explore the many cave and rock formations in the area. For outdoorsman this site offers easy access to public and private hunting lands as well as world class Smallmouth bass and Rainbow trout fishing opportunities nearby. Branson and Springfield are both about an hour away by car. With both cities having numerous restaurants, activities, and attractions for those seeking a little more than the Show Me states natural beauty. Ava is the closest town with goods and services. It sits just 7 miles to the west of this campsite on Missouri Hwy 14. The town has a Walmart a few restaurants as well as numerous gas stations and convenience stores. THIS SITE HAS NO CELL OR WIFI SERVICE

Edgewater Beach Resort has several privately owned cabins available to rent through Airbnb. I own/manage 3 cabins and the 2 lakefront RV sites. Each site comes with electric, water, and sewer hookups, a picnic table, and a private firepit with a grilling rack. The sites are large and separated by a privacy fence for the utmost privacy. The resort offers an outdoor pool, a playground, a fish cleaning station, and a laundry room. I also have boat slips available to rent for an additional $16/night. You can fish anywhere along the water's edge or off the docks. Ozark Beach Dam is 1 mile away, and the fishing there is always excellent. Empire Park is also located next door. It offers lots of fishing spots, hiking trails, a disc golf course, and a playground.

Our property is owned and shared by the members of Oran Mor Community. We are a small homestead growing a lot of permaculture gardens with a focus on wild edibles and native plants. More about this land: TENT CAMPING: Pitch your tent near the creek or farther out in a patch on the edge of the woods. There are many beautiful camping spots. Feel free to build a fire for cooking, relaxing, or whatever. A cool part of camping here is that we are a mostly off-grid homestead (with wifi) and we are a small community. We raise ducks and geese along with many gardens and wild spaces, and we build really cool things out of our lands bountiful resources like our timber frame slipstraw and cob tiny house. Your campsite can be just a couple minutes walk away from our main community center, or you are welcome to set up camp farther away and be more remote in the woods. There are multiple swimming holes along Little Creek, some more secluded ones that are clothing optional. We also have walking trails that you are welcome to enjoy. CAR or RV CAMPING: We have a spot to park a small RV or camper and plug into electricity. You are also welcome to car camp. We typically serve two communally shared meals every day and you are invited to join us for these. These meals are included in the price of your stay. You are also welcome to cook your own meals at one of the various fire pits here.

A path (not paved or graveled) from Olga leading north towards Finley creek is capable of parking a few vehicles strategically. Neighboring properties don’t have any noticeable boundaries at the time of this update ( Feb/24) please be respectful of anyone you may come across. Cell service is extremely limited. At the moment, there’s a downed tree and no clear path for a camper to be hauled in or out. Tent or hammock camping only. No facilities. This is “roughing it” territory.

Learn more about this property. About our site- These are primitive campsites that are in a shaded area near Dry Creek, Brush Creek and Bryant Creek. On our 9 acre property is bordered by Ozark County Road 162 on the east, Ozark County Road 164 on the north, Dry Creek (a loosing stream) on the west and Brush Creek on the south. Please note that Campsites #2 & #3 are directly on the banks of Dry Creek which is a seasonal loosing stream meaning that in the spring and during periods of wet weather the creek can be running or partially running. During the summer and periods of extended drought this creek will be completely dry but offers great opportunites for rock collecting and exploring. Our campsites consist of a tractor mowed area in the shade of large Walnut, Oak and Sycamore trees with no other amenities. Set your tent, camper or RV up and enjoy the beauty of our creek side oasis. We allow fires in rock or metal fire rings as long as there are no burn bans in effect. You are welcome to gather down dead wood from our property for fires but please do not cut or damage live or standing trees. Make sure fires are controlled and supervised and always douse fires with water before leaving your camp. Please remove all trash from the area when you leave and make sure you have trash containers protected from wildlife while you are with us. We have abundent wildlife in the area including a pair of mated Bald Eagles with imature offspring. We also have all sorts of smaller critters like racoons, oppossums, armadillos, squirrels, rabbits, ground hogs, beaver, mink, otters, muskrats and more. Lots of birds too including owls, falcons, buzzards, crows and songbirds of all kinds. Larger animals are abundant as well, you may see deer, bobcats, foxes, coyotes and there have been sightings of black bears and cougars in the area from time to time. We have occasionally seen wild hogs on the property. We are located approximately 1 mile below the Highway 95 bridge crossing on Bryant Creek and you can put in a Highway 95 and float to our property although you will have to portage from the creek to your camp there is no road accessing the creek from our property at this time. Our location is close to multiple recreation and sightseeing opportunities. We are located in rural Ozark County, Missouri near the towns of Gainesville (Pop. 723) 31 miles, Ava (Pop. 2865) 29 miles, West Plains (Pop. 12,304) 37 miles. The town of Dora is a small unincorporated community located 10 miles east of our site has a small general store and restaurant. Roy's Store offers gas, food, beer, some hardware and staples, the grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is now a Dollar General in Dora as well as a US post office office, zip code 65637. We are a short drive from several scenic historic mills including (Rockbridge 7 miles, which boasts pay to fish for Trout from their hatchery, a small store, restaurant and bar, as well as trap shooting and sporting clays), (Hodgson Mill 12 miles, one of the most photographed in the Ozarks), Dawt 24 miles, which has a general store, restaurant, and canoe rental), (Zanoni 14 miles, now a private residence) . One of the newest Missouri State Parks, Bryant Creek State Park is just 7 miles west of us. This new state park offers hundereds of acres of recreational opportunites including hiking and site seeing and is currently only slightly developed. Enjoy floating and fishing for catfish, smallmouth bass, google eye and trout in one of our beautiful clear rivers including Bryant Creek which is directly accessible by a short walk from our property and is a great fishing and floating stream. The North Fork River which is a choice floating and fishing stream including a trophy trout management area about 12 miles to the east of our property. There are several canoe liveries on the North Fork and bookings for rental and shuttle services are available (contact us for a listing of these services). Use common sense when accessing these campsites and all areas adjacent to our property, county roads can become impassible during flood conditions. Remember "Turn Around Do't Drowned" don't drive into flood waters. Access to these campsites is through an open field and may become soft and muddy during rainy periods. We highly recommend the use of 4 wheel drive vehicles when conditions warrant. Pulling heavy campers and RVs into these areas is not recommended when it is raining or after peiods of rains. You will be responsible for the cost of any recovery operations if you get stuck. This site can flood in wet conditions so caution should be used during periods of heavy rains and we may have to relocate your campsite to higher ground in the event of high water. Campsites 1, 2 and 3 are all subject to flooding and during periods of heavy rain. Only Campsite #4 is safe from floods. It is also the least shaded and will receive full sun in the afternoon. Our creeks and rivers provide lots of fun water activites but there are no lifeguards or on site emegency services. Cell service is very limited or non-existant at the campsite location and you will have to drive to higher location possibly several miles away to get service. We are surrounded by private property please respect others and do not tresspass on private property.
