1 night at Hummingbird Hollow Outdoors

We made it to Sarah‘s farm and it was great. However, we did not stay there because we were worried about flooding as there were flood warnings in the area. Sarah responded promptly to any communications that I’ve had.

Incredibly beautiful place! The campsites all have great views of the water and nature packed woods. Sunset here was spectacular. And your probably thinking that it can’t get any better then that can it? It does get better…. We lost a purse and the host found it and called after we left defeated. They have it there going to even drive a hour away to bring this thing back to us! Will be back

Beautiful location, the stars are great at night, rockhounders delight. Plenty of tent camping spots, friendly staff and they are working on putting in improved RV sites.

Loved the space! Spent lots of time fishing (caught a few bass) and relaxing. Nice little spot to hang out with plenty of space for kids to run around. We had two tents, and a canopy that all fit perfectly in the area.

Beautiful place. My child and I stayed here for a few days and greatly enjoyed the calmness and hospitality. We felt especially safe with the dogs running the property at night. When the world becomes too much, we will definitely come visit again!

We had an incredible time! The treehouse is truly remarkable and unique. Laura Lynne was an incredible host and we truly enjoyed every aspect. We look forward to a return visit

Weekend Trip to Spring Lake Ranch

Our visit to Spring Lake Ranch was wonderful! While the weather was still too cold to really get out and enjoy all the beauty we did love our views and Jonathan and his family were so easy and affable to work with. We chose an RV site with a lake view and tree coverage and loved the overall feel of the park. We watched the dogs and horses play, took the 2 mile hike both by foot and horseback and loved the evenings around the campfire with friends. This is a definite return site for us!!

Weekend Trip to Hawks Bluff Farm Campground

This is not your stereotypical camp ground. Yes it is a working farm with animals but it stands out in a good way. They are extremely responsive, accommodating and kind. Elizabeth and Mark both when out of their way to make it a special first camping trip for us. They were patient and friendly with my 8 year old who was super excited and interested in the rocks on site. We had farm fresh eggs brought to our site upon request and Mark went out of his way on multiple occasions to help use with set up and to make it a great time for our kiddo. The dogs are free roaming sometimes but we’re not aggressive, just curious and friendly. The sites are a work in progress but they are pull thought and have water and electric hookup. You can tell they’re always trying to make improvements. The view was amazing and the site was clean and quiet (except the over exited Mule who hilariously would express his excitement occasionally :) ) We will be back.

Susan's setup is incredibly thoughtful. Cozy, sweet accommodations, lots of open space and privacy, and so many wonderful animal friends! The weather ended up being much colder than we anticipated when we visited. If you're visiting in cooler temps, plan ahead with extra bedding and layers. I imagine the yurt is gloriously shaded in the warmer months. Our kids loved the open space to run and play, and we spent several hours enjoying the creek, as well. This is a lovely spot for any animal lover to reconnect with nature.

I only did a short stay but I love how simple and affordable this campsite was. Didn’t get much time with the animals because I was just passing through but this would be a great place for a family of any size to enjoy together!

Our stay at Susan’s place was fantastic! She was incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially when we had to check in late. The camp was well-equipped with everything we needed, and having firewood already set up was a great touch. The real highlight, though, was the farm animals! After a long trip with multiple stops, this was our kids’ absolute favorite stay. Getting to spend time with the horses and other animals made it such a memorable experience.

This was a great campground. The Hiking trail was very good and scenic did the long trail. We saw some bald eagles! The shower house and bathroom were very clean and nice. We did switch sites from A5 to A2. The A sites are not really level enough to put a large tent. Very peaceful place, lol might be different when the campground is full in the summer. Would absolutely return and highly recommend

3 nights at Hawks Bluff Farm Campground

We had a wonderful experience at Hawk's Bluff! The host, Elizabeth, went above and beyond in every single way and we appreciated her kindness so much! It is a rockhounding paradise and I had 18 gallons in less than 4 total hours of looking and within a 1/2 mile radius of my campsite! I can't imagine what all could be found on the whole 400+ acres! The campsite was clean and had a shady pad for the tent, and fire ring and even firewood alr3ady cut and piled up nearby! Bathrooms are composting outhouses that were well maintained. A full size stove and grill were available for use. Everything about this place was exceptional! And did I mention the rocks!!?? Most beautiful specimens I now own in my collection. I plan to come back many, many times! Highly recommend!

The tent camping was beautiful, we had so much fun fishing on the docks and exploring. Everyone was super nice ( our car battery died and one of the workers from the ranch came and helped us jump it ) I would definitely recommend the lost close to the water waking up to a beautiful lake was amazing! The camps sits also are very clean and roomy!

We had such a great time here. It's a gorgeous piece of land. There are horses, cattle, birds of prey, and all types of animals. The creek or spring is just magnificent. The campground is beautiful. We will be back for sure because we had a wonderful time here.
