Other things to note While this space provides most utilities and amenities you'd find at your home, it is important to note it is still a camping-style getaway. We do our best to treat the area, but you will encounter insects. AT&T has limited cell phone reception in the area, Sprint is very spotty, and Verizon is pretty much unavailable for service. We provide the best free wifi available to help with communication back to the real world, but it is rather slow. The best wifi reception is near the General Store/Courtyard. We try and keep the area well maintained. You may see ATVs/tractors on our property and on the gravel road. Pets are welcome for an extra $50 per stay. Please note our dogs may be on the property. They are friendly and well-behaved, although sometimes curious. Other guests may have no-leash pets as well. Park right next to your glamper. Arrive anytime after 4pm, just give us an eta to know when to expect you. Weekend Trip to Sinking Creek Ranch RVs & Glamping

We loved the tent! Very clean bedding and interior as well as very clean bathrooms. Bathroom and showers were a very short walk from the tents, and we had the furthest one away. It got down to ~35 F at night at mid 60s during the day and we had no problems staying warm. There are a handful of public hiking trails ~45 mins from the site, but not much else in the surrounding area. They do have trails on their property, but we didn't get a chance to try them. One thing I'd have liked to know, there is about ~12 miles of gravel roads leading to the site which tends to slow leaving and coming back, and could potentially send rocks up to your vehicle. Overall, we would highly recommend visiting, we had a great time!

Weekend Trip to Sinking Creek Ranch RVs & Glamping

We stayed in Wandering Willow and had an awesome time. We were able to park right up next to the tent, which made unloading and setting up super easy. We even set up an awning and cooked off our tailgate setup, and it felt like the perfect mix of glamping comfort and real camping vibes. The common bathhouse deserves a special shoutout—sparkly clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with extra little amenities (things like water bottles and coffee creamers) that make a big difference. Overall, this was a fantastic camping experience and we’d absolutely come back. Only minor note: the tents are fairly close together (around ~200 feet apart), and with less tree cover in this season, it wasn’t as private as it might be at other times of year. That said, it didn’t take away from how great the stay was. Highly recommend!

Amazing spot, super private and great hosts. It is off the beaten path a bit. There is a bit of off-roading as the paved road ends about 2 miles before you get to your destination. The rv pads are a bit narrow if you have a slide and want to stay on the gravel. However it’s worth it!

The view of the stars is amazing! Loved that the bathhouse was clean and heated. Hope to visit again next year.

Where to begin!!??? We absolutely loved our stay at BRCM!... we stayed in our camper on an electric site and it was fantastic from start to finish. Roger and Lela are just incredible people who have created a very special place. Between the swimming pool, bar and grill, playground, dogs, and general vibe, this place is a one of a kind getaway- more of an experience really. We loved it. And it's minutes away from the Current river where we set up for a few hours to have some river fun. It's truly a family place- we met other campers/lodgers who had already been there several times, which i absolutely understand! This is a place you keep coming back to because Roger and Lela make it feel like home. We can't wait to come back!!!!

Weekend Trip to Sinking Creek Ranch RVs & Glamping

We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a great outdoor experience, whether you're planning to ride the trails or just enjoy the natural beauty. It's clear that a lot of care and attention has been put into making this a top-notch destination for both horses and ATVs. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any questions or needs we had. Be sure you take the Hwy 19 to State Hwy N or else be prepared to do a bit of off roading before you get there.

Weekend Trip to Williams Camp : Eleven Point River

We reserved the entire Williams camp for float trip group and it worked great! Had 4 campers setup and half dozen tents. Water and electric worked great also! Floated the eleven point river with Hufstedlars outfit. They were able to pickup/dropoff at our location, which is clutch, nobody had to drive after the float. It was really nice to have a place for our group all by ourselves, very secluded but still easily accessible. Phone service was 50/50 for some of us, but personally my phone worked well the entire time while at the campsite. You are definitely in the woods, so be ready with the bug spray and tick prevention. Overall, my group of 18 had a great experience here, we would def reserve this again when we come back to the 11pt River.

The Big Rock Candy Mountain was a great spot for a long weekend with our RV, motorcycles and a float trip on the Current. We absolutly enjoyed the pool, the bar and grill for both a dinner and a breakfast, and some fantastic live music on the deck Saturday night! Great spot, we'll be back!

As previously mentioned, the shower house is amazing (and has AC) but they also have a great set up around camp. You can be as primitive or comfortable as you'd like and the host family is incredibly welcoming and friendly. They went over and above and helped us with a couple small issues we were having. Would definitely recommend!

We loved camping here! Big Rock Candy Mountain Retreat is an amazing place. The property is very well maintained and nice. Shower house and bathrooms are clean and better than any other bath/shower house I have used while camping. The owners are super accommodating, helpful and friendly. We felt very welcome and will were planning a return visit after the first night. The restaurant was amazing as well and had great food and drinks. I highly recommend BRCM to anyone traveling through the area. I can't wait to return and show others this fantastic property!

Where to go

Echo Bluff State Park

Considered the “gateway to the Ozarks,” Echo Bluff State Park opened in 2013. Sinking Creek runs through the park, providing a focal point for outdoor adventures under the massive bluffs that line the waterway and give Echo Bluff its name. A modern campground offers walk-in tent camping sites and RV sites, with full hookups, free wifi, bathouses, and more.

Ozarks National Scenic Riverways

The beautiful Jacks Fork River and Current River form the heart of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Bring your own or arrange a kayak or canoe rental to take a classic “float trip.” Or take a hike to explore the historic mills and scenic springs. Camping opportunities abound, from well-developed RV parks to off-grid tent sites, some with river access. The National Park Service operates a number of public campgrounds, including large ones at Big Spring and Alley Spring. Riverfront cabins and other glamping accommodations offer upgraded camping experiences.

Mark Twain National Forest

Aside from the regional state park and NPS sites, the Eminence region is surrounded by the Mark Twain National Forest, which covers 1.5 million acres in Missouri. Hiking trails, scenic drives, and watersports abound. Dispersed camping, RV sites, tent camping, cabins, and more can be found on these National Forest lands. Many locations are remote, so wifi and cell signals can be hard to find. But, the lack of development means you’ll find inky skies for stargazing at night.

When to go

Summer is hot, but it’s the most popular time to visit Eminence due to the waterways. Temperatures can get above 100 degrees, with high humidity. Spring and fall are especially good if you plan to spend more time on the trails instead of in the water, with fall being particularly scenic as the leaves change. Winter is generally cold, and campers may encounter snow, ice, and freezing temperatures, though some campgrounds offer year-round access.
