My family settled on this plot of land at the turn of the century, moving west in a covered wagon. And aside from a brief time in the late 80's it has been in our family ever since. For most of the 20th century the property was a small farm, grazing cattle and mowed for bailing hay. We are trying to rejuvenate the property and breathing some new life into this old plot of land.

The Hill, aptly named, is a hilltop that slopes down to a large pond that divides the twenty acre property in two. With plenty of room to stretch your legs you can enjoy a nature walk. In the evening enjoy the night sky around one of several fire rings, while roasting marshmallows. Easy access and only a quarter mile from the main road.

The pasture is quite visible from Old Route 66, nearly adjoining it. Therefore people traveling “the Mother Road” find it convenient to stay with us. Grass is the best forage for horses, especially older ones, so we take care of our pastures, making for beautiful scenery for campers, too. Plus the entire back mile is bordered by old forest. And there is a swimming hole not a half mile away.
This is a quiet and private site, bordered by a neighbor's old forest on back, other neighbor's cattle pasture on side, and you're in one of the pastures used by the Horse Sanctuary. (You are camping about 1/4 mile, more or less, from our house.)
We regularly see coyote, wild turkeys, deer, fireflies, and the like.
We are just 1/2 mile off Old Route 66, therefore there are quirky little museums and great restaurants (for such a rural area!).
Plus we are only about an hour's drive from Branson. MO. which is a known tourist attraction.

At the edge of a small town in Oklahoma, plenty of space to look out over hayfields, lounge in one of our hammocks, sit around the fire, watch chickens, ducks, and geese, and maybe lend a hand to one of our varied farm projects. Permaculture-based polyculture market garden that sells organic veggies and herbs. A few miles from Twin Bridges State Park has RV dump station.
The town is walkable and there are plenty of our bikes you can use. The main parking area will have some lights from the neighbors and 2 lane highway, but also have private areas to set up a chair or hammock. Behind the hedgerow (to the North) there's a mowed areas for a tent. There's also a tree platform. A train runs through town about 10 x day and night about 5 blocks away. There's capacity for leaving your trash/recycling here (I have to pay for weekly pick-up but rarely is my bin full), there's also washer/dryer that can be used (within reason)

Welcome to The Ridge Ranch LLC, a 10 acre Campground short term vacation rental glampground adjacent to The Huckleberry Ridge Conservation Area, located 3 miles from where Little Sugar Creek and Big Sugar Creek converge to form Elk River.
We have one short term vacation rental cabin listing “The Little Sugar Shack”, one long term cabin listing “The Ridge Adventure Center”, a 4 bed 2 bath “The Ridge Ranch House” available April 1st, 2026 and a 2025 Forest River Veranda RV listing. Sunset Mountain is an exclusive reservation only 18+ clothing optional/nudist campground located on my working cattle farm. (Please do not drive up to our gate and try to get in. Please make a reservation in advance.) Although we cater to adults only we follow TNSF and AANR guidelines for social nude recreation. If you are not familiar with TNSF or AANR you can do a quick internet search and see some basic guidelines for social nude recreation. Sunset Mountain does typically operate as a blind service venue meaning we do business online and we and or our maintenance team may not be seen during your stay. We have a good team in place to help your stay be enjoyable please just understand we don’t operate like some of the nudist clubs you may be used to.
Sunset Mountain is a nice quiet place to relax and work on your tan. We have RV sites, tent camping areas and overlanding sites. As lodging options we have a converted bus and shipping container. The campground has a bathroom facility with indoor shower and seasonal outdoor showers. We have a hot tub and propane grill guests can use year round along with hiking trails in the summer and a swimming pool.
Sunset Mountain is near the Elk River in Noel Missouri and close to Northwest Arkansas where there are mountain biking trails, museums and many other activities. Sunset Mountain is listed on the Monarch Butterfly Waystation registry as well.
We are located 1.2 miles away from the Noel city park that has free Elk River access, 4 miles to Mt. Shira free Elk River access near Shady Beach and 5.2 miles to the free Elk River access in Pineville, MO near Shady Beach Pineville.

Irenea and Dimitri were amazing hosts. They were readily available to answer any questions that wr had. We enjoyed the chickens, geese, and ducks. We were gifted with eggs as well. I would definitely recommend this little slice of heaven to anyone needing somewhere to relax, catch a few fish, and disconnect.

We visited this glamping property as a group of five families and had an amazing experience. The tents were spacious, well-maintained, and spotless. We loved the overall setup, especially the cozy firepit area and the wide-open space where the kids could run around and play safely.
The toilets and showers were exceptionally clean and thoughtfully arranged. The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and communicated everything clearly, making us feel right at home.
Every one of us truly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this place and would absolutely love to come back. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

We enjoyed our outing to this secluded area - not too far away from Republic if you need some last minute stuff, but still far enough away for bright stars and fresh air. The area itself is well cared for and made for a very relaxing weekend getaway. We loved the views of the pond in the morning and managed to catch a few fish! Would absolutely recommend and will undoubtedly return in the future.

When I arrived I was upgraded to a site that had a small privacy wall a couple chairs and some neatly decorated route 66 paraphernalia on the privacy wall. The RV park has full electric, water and sewer hookups on each site. There is a bathhouse that contains men's and women's bathrooms with showers and a washer dryer area for campers use. I must say the bath house was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The park itself has a New Mexico midwest vibe to it even though it's in Southwest Missouri. Would definitely go there again.
