We purchased the property in 2003 in order to escape the city life and be closer to nature. Over the years we have developed our sustainable farm, raising grass-fed cattle, free-range chickens, turkeys, pigs and vegetables. We raised our four children here and have made many memories together as we learned to farm, build and enjoy our land. We continue to create and build towards a long-term vision, creating a haven for artisans with self-sufficient living in mind. Welcome to our inviting custom built cottage. It is located on our property, approximately 300' from on our home on our 88 acre land plot, located 10 minutes outside of St. Joseph, MN. We are very near St. John's University and the College of St. Benedict. Hiking trails located on our property as well as nearby County parks and St. John's University. We are 6 miles from the Wobegon Trail (76 miles long) which is great for biking, roller blading, walking and running. Come explore Creekwood Acres which is host to a great deal of wild life as well as sustainably raised animals with a process we call rejuvenative farming. Wander through the woods and listen to the birds, watch monarch butterflies, our cattle, pigs, free-range chickens, and hear the frogs, crickets and occasionally distant coyotes. The Watab Creek runs through the property which consists of fields, forest and a pond. Our cozy cottage was built by our family using lumber sawn on our property. There are two double beds up in the loft accessible by ladder and one queen size sofa sleeper on the main level . A wood burning stove keeps the cottage cozy in cooler weather. There is a composting sawdust toilet in the cottage and an exterior outhouse, running water with a hot shower. Electricity keeps the cottage aglow and runs a refrigerator, microwave, sound system and fans. Also available for your convenience, an apartment size range/oven. Enjoy a fire in a private fire ring near the cottage. Firewood available for purchase (for exterior fire ring). Enjoy a wood-fired sauna upon request. The sauna has been known to get quite hot! At this time, we are taking reservations for the Cottage. We are currently working on developing campsites and another rustic cabin on the property for people who wish to tent camp with a goal of creating a unique experience and wonderful memories. Theres so much more to come and your current support to help with our reinvestment in Creekwood Acres is so greatly appreciated!!! Great quiet relaxing location, with wildlife and the sound of the country. You will have the only camp site on the property. You can stay in the small camping cabin in comfort with your own bedding, or bring a sleeping bag. We have the twin bed in the loft, or use the futon on the main level. The cabin only has room for two adults unless you bring a camp pad to sleep on the floor, or squeeze in a child, but you have the comforts of an A/C , a Weber grill, mini fridge, microwave, and Electricity. Quiet former country farm site, with great wildlife viewing options with walking trails. Only 23 miles to DT St. Cloud and 7 Miles to the Walmart in Princeton for food or supplies. If a shower is desired the Kwik Trip in St Cloud, on Hwy 10 has showers. Just a half mile off Hwy 95 and 5 miles from the large Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, with trails and lots of wildlife. In the Fall expect to see a large amount of wildlife with many migrating birds come out of the refuge to feed. Expect to hear Pheasant's cackle in the AM, and see Sandhill Cranes and Geese fly over the camp site, or sitting in area fields. Enjoy time around a campfire with folding chairs and a picknick table, with plenty of free dry firewood in a storage rack.

How we ended up in Knife Lake Township on 81 acres of forested land. We began looking for land in late fall of 1996. After several months of searching, we happened upon a tiny newspaper ad for 81 acres of land described as "Beautiful, secluded, mature hardwoods, tall pines w/creek & beaver pond, many gd bldg sites & great hunting". We toured the property, covered in almost two feet of snow, on a snowmobile in January 1997 and fell in love with it. We have been stewards of this piece of land for 25 years and are still enamored of its beauty and diversity. We are lulled to sleep by the sounds of owls and bullfrogs and the distant yipping of coyotes. Spring through fall we are often awakened by the rattling, honking of sandhill cranes and a wide variety of bird songs. Besides deer and lots of small critters, we've seen bear, bobcat, rafters of turkeys, quail, grouse, pheasant, owls, hawks and eagles. The sky, on a clear night, is breathtaking. We have always visualized sharing the land with others, so come and immerse yourself in this bountiful space.

The Hamlet Lake homestead is our 10-acre family home with two unique and private hip-camp sites. We have both lakeshore (in front) and a hobby farm with cows, chickens and goats in our back lawn and woods. The Hamlet Lake Bunkhouse is located to the west of our home in its own secluded parcel next to the lake. The Camp on Hamlet Hill (closed for 2026) is to the north of our home, on a remote flat hill at the top of our property, on a hill over Cedar brook. with 300-acre, (private) Hamlet Lake in front, and the wide portion of the 20-mile Cedar brook in the back. We are a large "homesteading" family, with chickens, ducks, and a garden. The campsite is a private 1/2 acre clearing, surrounded by woods with a firepit, grill, cooking utensils, and an outhouse. (Tents are available for a small additional cost). There is an outdoor water pump below the hill, near which guests can view our fenced-in animals. Guests can also access the waterfront and beach in front, with the use of the swim raft, lily pad, fishing dock, canoe, kayak, and paddle boards included. At nearly 100 feet deep, Hamlet lake also boasts excellent fishing. Our home is located 6 miles from Crosby, with the world-class Cuyuna Lakes 50-mile mountain bike trail system. Crosby is a growing tourist town with many new and unique restaurants, outdoor adventures, and shopping opportunities. The paved bike trail begins 3.5 north of us. Milacs lake is 10 miles to the south.

The property is within the Cuyuna mountain bike area, between the Yawkey and the Cruser's Kettle trailheads. There is a fire ring as well as a great deck upon which you can camp or otherwise relax and enjoy the view of the forested valley. The container is heated and cooled, and the container has a luxurious warm tiled shower, sink, toilet (cassette style), power and of course, as pictured, a beautiful small bedroom and living room. Coffee machine and mini fridge included on the deck. Note to guests, if the cassette toilet develops a smell, pour 16 oz of water into the urine catch once at a time a few times and it will purge the system and eliminate it. The glamping tents were exactly what we needed to feel comfortable. Friends stayed in the other tent and the shared space was perfect. The farm is beautiful and all the animals are curious and welcoming to anyone who wants to interact with them. And of course, the pizza(!) was absolutely amazing. Seeing and hearing the sandhill cranes was an unexpected treat for all of us.

Our stay at Alpha and Omega Farm was rustically elegant in the best possible way. The simplicity was endearing, welcoming, and truly a breath of fresh air. My daughter and I felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Our hosts were incredibly kind and did everything they could to make sure we had a wonderful stay. One of my favorite parts was simply being on the farm—falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the animals, getting the chance to feed the donkeys and cows, and having a place where you can sit back, settle in, and be intentional about letting go and enjoying where you are. We treated ourselves to both the caramel rolls and the smörgåstårta breakfast, and both were amazing. The caramel rolls were soft, simple, absolutely delicious, and literally delivered hot from the oven. The smörgåstårta breakfast was a delight—the cheeses, meats, fruit, and bread paired together seamlessly. Nothing was overly complicated, and that simplicity somehow made everything even better. The bathrooms were clean and well cared for. They are outhouse-style, with running water outside for handwashing, but this didn't detract from our stay at all—it simply fit the rustic experience. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for the chance to slow down. Sometimes the best getaway isn't about having more—it's about having less to distract you from what matters. ❤️

Weekend Trip to The little cabin

The Little Cabin was a sweet and private tiny space in a private area with lots of wooded paths around to explore. My senior dog, Sven, was as happy as can be wandering the paths and sleeping cozily on the floor of the cabin. This is a very tiny space; in my case, just right for the two of us. It was incredibly quiet over the weekend; I saw only one car on the gravel road out front, and the air was filled with wonderful bird, cricket, and frog sounds. The property was very private and I actually heard nor saw any humans at all, which I very much appreciated. I will be very excited to return again soon!

This was such a cute and cozy spot! There weren’t other nearby campers so it felt really secluded, intimate, and quiet. We weren’t too bothered by the gun shots, they sounded far away. There were mice droppings on the bed and later on our bedding, so gloves and some cleaning supplies would be nice if provided too. Otherwise, the air mattress was extremely comfortable, the A frame cabin wall was easy to open/close, and the river, although low and nonmoving at this time, provided great cooling off for my pups. It was very cool to be able to see a lightening show from bed too! Will very likely book again!

Carl was an excellent host! His hospitality was exceptional, communication was prompt, and his instructions were clear and easy to follow. One thing to note is that the GPS may take you a little past the campground entrance, so keep an eye out for the sign that says “The Vineyards Tent Camping.” Other than that, everything was straightforward. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend booking with him!

My granddaughter and I rented a glamping site for one night for her birthday. She loved interacting with all of the farm animals. The firewood was free and dry, so we could build a wonderful fire to roast marshmallows. The tent was cozy and the bed comfortable. We used the wood stove to take the chill off during the night. 1 night at The little cabin

Very quiet little retreat cabin. It was a really nice stay (2 nights) for us. At 6'4" I fit in the bed, but if I was any taller, it would have been tough.

Weekend Trip to Alpha and Omega Pizza Farm

We loved our stay on the farm. The glamping tent was so cute and comfortable. We also participated in the pizza night. Everyone was very friendly and the pizza was delicious. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

1 night at Alpha and Omega Pizza Farm

My daughter and I spent a night here last week and were so impressed. I can't say enough good things about Alpha and Omega!!! We started the day with pizza, beer, live music and all the farm animals and ended it with a relaxing campfire with smores. The tent was perfect, the bed was comfy and the hosts were AMAZING. This was a fun unique experience Anne a great mother/daughter glamping trip. We are already planning on going back to visit again.

1 night at Alpha and Omega Pizza Farm

This was one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever done. We’ll definitely be back! The scenery was gorgeous. The Pizza Farm vibes and the animals were incredible. The food was 10/10! The pizzas, deep fried ravioli, and the caramel rolls in the morning were out of this world. Everything was really clean and just so darn cute! The tent didn’t even feel like a tent. I cannot recommend the whole experience enough! Thank you so much!
