Year ‘round cabins in the Superior National Forest in Grand Marais, MN where you can hike or ski out the door on groomed wilderness trails. Amenities include wood-fired sauna shared by all cabins. Each cabin has its own outdoor fire-pit and picnic table. A variety of outhouses are throughout the camp. Direct access to Superior Hiking Trail and North Shore Mountains Ski Trail. Cabins are spaced for privacy! We also have canoes and sea kayaks available at our outfitting base in town for rental. A 4 night stay includes free use of an aluminum canoe for a day.

Welcome to Peaceful Place. We lived in this beautiful cabin throughout the seasons and full time while we built our home nearby. We decided to share our love of the land with visitors that love the boreal forest. The cabin resides along Myhr Creek. Our brother-in-law says “everywhere your look is a post card.”
Over the years we've watched moose, wolf, bear, fox, deer, otters and beaver. We’ve been visited by an occasional pine Martin and followed the tracks of lynx. As is the case with wild animals, we never know when we’ll experience an encounter and can’t promise you’ll be visited by one of them during your stay. We hope your time here will provide you with a restful experience in the North woods. There are a few maintained walking trails that begin just outside your door.
We are located 2 miles from hwy 61 on County road 69. The entrance to Judge Magney State Park and its’ many hiking trails is about 3 miles away. If you head East instead, the Grand Portage State Park with pristine views of waterfalls is a 20 minute drive. We are located on the East end of Cook County, MN. You have the opportunity to access numerous hiking trails along with opportunities to rent canoes from local outfitters and paddle for a day on the many beautiful lakes in the area. Access to the BWCA is not far from the cabin. It's about an hour on the Arrowhead Trail to Lake McFarland where you can paddle the lake or hike on the Border Route trail. Lake Superior is a short drive away and you can take in in the grandeur of the Big Lake. At the end of a full day adventuring; Grand Marais and it’s shops and restaurants are 20 minutes away.

Weekend Trip to Raven Moon Ridge
We had the best experience at Raven Sky Yurt! The yurt was cozy and cute and well set up. It was great to have a propane stove and fridge and water to wash dishes. The yurt was also well set up to keep the bugs at bay. Everything worked perfectly and we felt super comfortable and really enjoyed our stay. We loved how nice and secluded it felt. Best part was the fire pit and a bonus surprise visit from the neighbor’s very friendly dog! We had a great time and can’t wait to come back! Thank you for this perfect escape in Grand Marais.
