"Elysium Heritage Farm" is situated on 120 acres in Northeast, MI surrounded by woods, trails, ponds and canals. Enjoy access to a small farm that includes fainting goats, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, and more. Bring your pole and try your luck at some catch and release fishing. Enjoy viewing numerous types of wildflowers, birds, and butterflies. Depending on the season, (and how quietly you walk the trails) you may experience a wide variety of wildlife species. ABOUT THE FARM We have a working, organic farm with a lot of animals, however, we also do crops as well. This particular farm is 138 acres with 8 acres of woods. We have working dogs, sheep, cattle, horses, a couple goatsWe have some super great animals. Most of which are very friendly. You never know what will be available to see on the farm when you visit. We are expecting a foal (baby horse) this summer (2021) and are already planning for another foal next summer as well. We often have puppies as well and sometimes we have to bottle feed lambs. There's never a dull moment. Our farm is unique in the way of having a very positive VIBE to it. The energy is awesome! It's really a space of tranquility and healing if you allow yourself to go there. After hosting with air bnb for a little over a year now, we decided to give this a try as well. We love hosting people and having them come to the farm and enjoy our way of life. It also helps to have a supplemental income as having and running a small family farm isn't very sustainable. Typically there's off the farm jobs to help pay for the farm life. It's a crazy equation. Small family farms are far and few between. Please support your local farmer if possible! 2 nights at "Elysium Heritage Farm"

This is my second time staying here, my first time being about a year ago! This time I knew to take my time and plan out at least a couple days to stay. "The Elysium" is such a majestic property that feels like it goes on and on and on! I really enjoyed walking the trails and paddling on the pond with my dog - both stretch from the front of the property allllll the way to the back cabin in the words! It is super quiet out here, and the stars shine so bright. It was lovely to see that they've added an outhouse, and all the new animals on the farm! Goats, chickens, doves, bunnies, emus... The cutest thing I saw was that one of the baby goats made friends with a wild baby dear! They would play together in the evenings around sunset time, and sometimes the bunnies would join them. It felt like straight out of a Disney movie! So much time and love has been poured into making the Elysium what it is today. It absolutely shows, and moreso, can be felt the moment you arrive on the site. I don't know when I'll be back next, but I do know, I'll be back! This might be my most favorite Hipcamp I've come across yet :)

Had a fantastic couple of nights at Thousand Suns with some friends and our kids. Was our daughter’s first camping experience and it was the best location for us! Between the amenities provided and activities on site we had a blast. Jordan (who greeted us and replenished our firewood) was super friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend booking a camping trip here and look forward to returning.

The lake is really close to the campground, we reserved one spot with sewer line and electrical connection and works great for us. They have bathroom and shower available and they have wood for fire pit for $5.00. Is a great spot to camp with family and or friends.

My group and I really enjoyed this campsite! We loved that is was very hippie vibes and it’s super cool that they hold ceremonies here. There’s lots of land to explore and we had the place mostly to ourselves. And there’s a cute little lake! The only reason we wouldn’t come back is because there is a train right next to the campsite that went through multiple times during the night. Which of course was very loud. Everything else was awesome though!

Camped with the fam and had a great time. Secluded and we were not bothered by anyone. Kids and dog were able to explore the surrounding woods. Beautiful area for sure. Does have a train that goes by, but we were used to the noise of that after the first day. 10 out of 10 would recommend for family or individuals looking for a calm, quiet, breath of fresh air.
