We know most of our neighbors as friends or relatives. Our camping area only has four sites so it’s cozy and private. We are about 2 miles from Burt Lake, and about 10 miles from other waterways, rivers and streams, and Lake Michigan. we are also 4 miles from biking and ORV trails.

Peterman Farm is a beautiful spot! It's a very peaceful location on a dead-end road with no neighbors near the farmhouse. The views are lovely: rolling hills, beautiful sunsets and visiting deer. This was the perfect place to camp. Don't miss out on this spot!

Jeannie & I loved Phil & Stormy's Place. It was quiet this time of year, and we were lucky to be the only folks at their Camp. They definitely had made it their own, and have great amenities. Firewood & Firepit, 30 amp service, a water hose , picnic table & dry kindling.. 2 Porta Potties on site, and a RV cleanout. Great Wooden games around the site for folks enjoyment. Phil is a world renown Game maker who makes Games and interesting items, which he makes in his shop on site. Sends it all around the world. Besides meeting Phil and Chit chatting, because we are both Hip Camp Hosts, Phil gave us a tour of his Shop and woodworking area. Pretty impressive. He was a great host, and is Passionate about Kubb, a Yard game that was originally played overseas, but because of Phi, brought the game to the US. He actually has his own playing field. We plan on visiting again, as we loved the vibe

It was a cute little spot. Sites 1-3 are right together and would be perfect for a group! You’d be right together and the kids could play all around you. They had campfire wood at the spots and starting materials next to square picnic tables with umbrellas in them. The shower is an outdoor one and they had a porta potty for a bathroom but it was very clean. I would go there again. Our motorhome fit very nicely there.

The property is secluded. Very quiet. Even with heavy rains for two days, drainage was adequate. Game options provided are family friendly. Nice place overall. I would stay again. Might be nice for winter camping if available.

We loved camping on Phil’s land. It was very nice, private and lots of room. He definitely payed attention to details. There was plenty of firewood, list with phone numbers and addresses of surrounding attractions. Will definitely stay there again!

Super easy to find, amazing carpet of wildflowers greeted us. Fun to walk around the fields that are nicely mowed with solar lighting that lead you to the platform for stargazing. Outhouse is clean and near campsite.

This place was absolutely beautiful. Extremely quiet, very nicely groomed smooth trails. Endless stars. No bugs at all. Spent a few days kayaking, riding my quads a bit (slowly to not hurt anything) and just enjoying nature. Host was nice and responded quickly with any of my questions. I recommend showing up in the day as it is very hard to find at night. (We went in the wrong field the first time because it was pitch black) 😂 definitely recommend this spot for a getaway.

Each site had water and electric hook up. Trash can, wood, and a fire starting kit available. Enoughr space between each sit. Beautiful star gazing area. Close enough to town but far enpugh away to actually get that camping feel. I had never built a fire before so i was happy to have the fire starting kit there to make things so much easier! The show was nicely built. I wkll say let the eater run for about 10 minutes so you dont burn yourself. There is a sign in the shower that does state this. This is sich a wonderful camp site.

We had a great stop here at site 1. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Lots of pretty flowers. Connections worked well and having the dump out was very convenient. It’s a little tight maneuvering for our 40’ fifth wheel but we got around ok. We saw turkey! 3 hens and a dozen babies. Very convenient to Indian River, Alanson, and Petoskey.

Jon's property is incredible. The sites are huge, private, and well-manicured. He also has hiking trails throughout the property that are abundant with wildlife. During our stay we saw deer, what looked like a small bobcat, fresh bear droppings, and a heron. In addition to this all, we got to watch a spectacular meteor shower one of our nights.
The price is pretty comparable to public campgrounds, but what you get is so much more spectacular in terms of nature and privacy. We actually took a day trip to Harrisville State Park and hung out at Lake Huron and were quickly reminded how much nicer it is to have solitude vs sites packed in together. We also hiked just a few minutes away in the Huron National Forest.
Bottom line, you'll love it.

The view was beautiful, Debbie and Scott have a charming home. We were the only campers on our night. They invited us to join them around their fire ring. We had the best evening getting to know them and the area. Would love to stay there again.
