 Campsites are $20 per night.

WHAT'S NEW ON THE FARM 2025

This year we are expecting a foal (baby horse).  The end of April.

We are also milking a family cow for our own milk as well. Her name is Daisy.

We are also bottle feeding two calves at this time.

We will have Great Pyrenees puppies from April through mid July. Come and spend some time with them!

I’m an organic farmer, an animal nut, health coach, mindset mentor

and Psych-K facilitator.

I have six children and hosted three foreign exchange students. I love kids, animals (especially horses) and nature. I love anything and everything about health and personal growth and well being.

ABOUT THE FARM

We have a working, organic farm with a lot of animals, however, we also do crops as well. This particular farm is 138 acres with 8 acres of woods. We have working dogs, sheep, cattle, horses,  a couple goatsWe have some super great animals. Most of which are very friendly.

You never know what will be available to see on the farm when you visit. We are expecting a foal (baby horse) this summer (2021)

and are already planning for another foal next summer as well. We often have puppies as well and sometimes we have to bottle feed lambs. There's never a dull moment.

Our farm is unique in the way of having a very positive VIBE to it. The energy is awesome! It's really a space of tranquility and healing if you allow yourself to go there.

After hosting with air bnb for a little over a year now, we decided to give this a try as well. We love hosting people and having them come to the farm and enjoy our way of life. It also helps to have a supplemental income as having and running a small family farm isn't very sustainable. Typically there's off the farm jobs to help pay for the farm life. It's a crazy equation. Small family farms are far and few between. Please support your local farmer if possible! It is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Thousand Suns – an 84-acre sanctuary nestled in the heart of nature, lovingly cultivated to support healing, reflection, and connection. This isn’t your typical campground. Here, the land is vibrantly alive and holds space for both traditional and non-traditional ceremonies, as well as moments of quiet solitude or joyful gathering.

Wander scenic forest trails, swim in spring-fed waters, or sit beside the flowing river — all part of a landscape that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and return to yourself. Whether you’re here to rest, explore, or reconnect, Thousand Suns offers a grounded, heart-centered experience.

Throughout the month, we host community events and offer private sessions in yoga, bodywork, breathwork, and other holistic practices designed to nourish the body and spirit. Fresh eggs are available from our chickens and turkeys, and you’ll likely spot our friendly goats during your stay.

Guests are welcome to use the community kitchen — a shared space where you can store your food and prepare meals with ease.

Thousand Suns is the perfect retreat for solo travelers, families, and spiritual seekers alike. Whether you’re gathering with loved ones or journeying inward, our land provides a supportive and sacred backdrop.

Please note: a train passes by the front of the property several times a day. While some find it grounding and nostalgic, others may wish to bring earplugs if they’re sensitive to sound.

Our beautiful, 10-acre grounds include wooded and grassy areas, 14 different gardens, bridges, boardwalks, swings and benches, walking trails, and 17 historic buildings.

 Visit the beautiful Loop Harrison Mansion, General Store, one-room schoolhouse, Banner Cabin, our historic church and train depot, the hearse shed that houses our antique wooden hearse, and more.

Wildlife and nature abound.  Our peaceful and private grounds will be your camping oasis.  Within walking distance of beautiful Lake Huron with its beaches and marina and parks, plus the Port Sanilac Lighthouse (tours available on summer Fridays), and several bars and restaurants.

Check out our Farmers' Market on Fridays and catch a live play at the 150-year-old Barn Theatre. Take a guided tour of the beautiful Loop-Harrison Mansion, built in 1872.  Or hop on a 1917 open-air Model T or horse and carriage for a tour around town.

RV campers are welcomed to our beautiful 10-acre grounds at the Sanilac County Historic Village and Museum.  At this time, we do not allow tent campers.  

Campers are invited to use our two large communal bonfire pits.  Firewood is available for purchase.  Advance notice is recommended.

Guest WIFI is available in and near the Mansion but does not reliably connect to our camping areas.

Here you will find beauty, quiet, and privacy.  Be sure to wander our brick/stone path and nature trail that combine to make a one-mile walking path around the grounds.  You'll enjoy bridges, swings and benches to rest awhile, a boardwalk, a fairy garden, 14 flower gardens, birds and wildlife, and lots more!  The path also winds past each of our 17 historic buildings and the 1942 U.S. Army Troop Train.

Tour the beautiful Loop-Harrison Mansion, celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2022.  Enjoy a live performance at the Barn Theatre on Friday and Saturday evenings. Take a unique tour of Port Sanilac in our 1917, open-air Model T or horse and carriage.  

We are located within walking distance of beautiful Lake Huron, including a lakeside park, beach, harbor, and break wall.  Check out the live music at the harbor park every Saturday during the summer months.  The historic Port Sanilac Lighthouse (tours offered on Fridays) is also within walking distance, as well as restaurants, bars, and shopping.
