Our goal was to find a place we could wake up in the woods, and this was the spot! Nice having coffee on the deck overlooking the property and ending the day w a fire. We were pretty self-sufficient, but my impression was that if we needed something we could just message to ask. I would have liked to be more social w. our hosts but just didn’t have the energy; the whole point of us being there was for a much needed respite. Also we were there during the work week and they were busy going about their business. We stayed in the treehouse and didn’t need the heat even, it is pretty well insulated which also cuts the train noise others commented on. Super cute goat! Very personable turkey! Definitely the woods go back a fair ways for exploring. We found good nearby hikes too; the big loop around the lake at Metamora-Hadley was a really good route.

If you're looking for a place to get away for a few days I'd highly recommend. Booked during the week in September and had the whole place to myself. Plenty of places to walk around on the property and explore. I stayed in the treehouse and would encourage you to try it for yourself.
The hosts left me pretty much to myself unless I requested something and they were friendly and quick to respond if I needed something (fresh eggs, firewood, etc).
The tent campsites I saw were all nice and clean and were far enough apart to have some privacy if they have multiple guests. They also have a group campground.
One note, watch the chickens, they are sneaky and will sneak up and steal your food if you aren't careful.
I'll definitely be back.

My husband and son spent a weekend at Jac's bunkhouse and absolutely loved it. The beach is less than a minute's walk and the area is beautiful. They enjoyed making fire and grilling some steaks on the provided fire pit and Webber. Bed was soft as a cloud and the house was neat and clean with everything they needed. They loved it and I might have to head that way to experience it for myself.

Becca’s cabin was perfect for our trip. The close access to the private beach was an awesome perk! The cabin was a perfect size for the 2 of us and the outdoor area is awesome to hang out and have a fire. So close to “downtown” Lexington with plenty of things to do and see. My partner and I stayed at Jac's Bunkhouse for a long weekend and had a wonderful stay! Becca was a gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed, allowing us privacy but assuring us she was always available nearby. The property was super cute and cozy, a very small indoor space (bedroom, bathroom, and enclosed patio with a little dining area) but definitely enough for two people. The views in the yard were serene, and the beach was about a minute's walk away. While the place wasn't equipped with a stovetop or oven, it did have a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker, and there were plenty of dining options available in town, just a few minutes away. Overall, I'd recommend the Bunkhouse to any solo/duo travelers looking for a peaceful place to relax and get away on the water.

Jac’s bunkhouse was charming and welcoming as soon as you step into the home. You’ve got all the essentials, a microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, even a charcoal grill and fire pit outside. It’s a cozy private nook surrounded by trees; just steps away from a swim in the lake or a walk along the beach. Walkable to town, with so many options around. Becca was very generous, showed me around, and even fed me a home cooked meal! One of the best hosts I’ve encountered, she also goes above and beyond to make her guests feel more than welcome, and you can feel the love she puts into this little home as soon as you step inside. I would come back here in a heartbeat!

Patrick was great, place is great. As we were pulling in Patrick was up in the treehouse installing an air conditioning unit because it has been so hot. So glad he did, it was over 90 degrees throughout most of our stay. Appreciated it so much.

My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. There’s a nice beach down the street and if you don’t like that one the public beach isn’t too far. The beach down the street has plenty of rocks for people who love rock collecting.

We have just had such a lovely stay at Jac's Bunkhouse.
It was a perfect getaway, great location, relaxing, really homely, great attention to detail. The bed was comfortable, everything was fresh and clean, all we needed was there and more.
It was close to the beach, just along the track and down steps to the beach, very close.
From there we walked into Lexington along the beach, great restaurants and cafés. Concert in the park on the Friday evening.
Becca and Jac were such great hosts, communication was super.
We look forward to going back again soon, hope to stay longer next time, there's lots to explore in the area but also it's a great place in itself to unwind and relax

We had such a good weekend in the tipi! Kadyah is a fantastic host - very responsive and kind. Check in was simple and quick. The campsite is woody, toilet clean and convenient. There are many amenities in the tipi, we had everything we needed. Kadyah even made sure we had plenty of bug repellant options so we could enjoy the outdoor space. We used the SUP and kayak for a little paddle out on the water and that was very nice. This is a great camping option!

Went here with girlfriend to celebrate an anniversary, cute and comfy cabin space to watch movies, eat on windowed in patio, board games and any fun date night activities. Great downtown area with plenty activities like putt putt and bowling and great eats. Very nice public beach downtown as well as private beach access. If your debating choosing this place take our word and do it!

Can’t get enough of this place, learned more about the history of the land, met some awesome, interesting people and I finished (started more lol ) writings.
I would recommend this for band members/managers and vendors instead of spending money on hotel rooms, for festivals or events.
