I have two sites available that will accommodate both travel trailers, as well as tents. Both have 30amp RV and 120v outlets, as well as lights for late arrival setup. In the welcome Hut, you will find dry firewood for purchase, as well as a refrigerator and freezer for use by our guests. Each site has its own labeled shelf to keep your perishables fresh. Also available for purchase are organic farm fresh eggs, cold soda, and bottled water, as well as bags of ice in the freezer. At Grateful Acres we aim to make your stay with us, as enjoyable as possible. The two sites sit on 3 beautiful, quiet acres in Northern Michigan. Site #1 is flat, open, and spacious, while site #2 is a bit more enclosed and private tucked into the trees. Both sites come furnished with a picnic table, a fire ring with attached grill for cooking and 2 adirondack chairs. The Star gazing at night is absolutley Amazing!! The property is centrally located between Petoskey, Harbor Springs and Alanson. Nearby are many lakes, rivers, state forests, mountain biking trails, golf courses and ski resorts. You truly are sitting lakefront. I sat on a couple of boulders and just watched the waves. So incredibly peaceful. Instructions were clear and directions were easy to follow. One thing I will note is that you truly are rural - there is a grocery store and a few food options, but it's limited. Of you are an early riser, know that many of the food establishments open later. The site is absolutely gorgeous. I simply could not have asked for a better experience.

Absolutely awesome campsite! The location couldn’t be better—close to the ferry for easy access to Drummond Island, yet tucked away enough to feel completely private and peaceful. The views of Lake Huron and Strawberry Island are absolutely beautiful and make this spot even more special. The host was outstanding—friendly, responsive, and an excellent communicator. Everything exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back!

Great spot to camp while on a long motorcycle tour. Ted was prompt with his communication. His site has everything you need. Power for charging your phone, an outdoor shower, a table with a couple chairs next to a fire ring and a clean porta-potty. If you don’t feel like cooking ride into Boyne City and go to Santé. The food was excellent.

This was by far my favorite camping trip. Everything was so clean, calm, serene, well put together, and gorgeous. We drove 7 hours just to spend 2 nights here and it was well worth it. The beauty of the site cannot be fully captured in pictures. Once we arrived, we didn’t even leave the site. So much to do with paddling, exploring strawberry island, walking along the shores and just enjoying the views. This is a one of a kind location. My two dogs had a blast and got to roam free the whole weekend. There is also just an overall safe feeling you get at this campsite. Everything is perfect and well thought out. I hope to return!

Grateful Acres Welcome Hut

This is the welcome Hut. You will find at the top of the driveway upon entering the property. Notice the recent upgrade of a communal refrigerator and freezer for campers use. The refrigerator has one large shelf for each campsite. Also newly available within the refrigerator, are some small amenities available for purchase.

This was the perfect place for me. I liked campsite 2. It felt private and had everything I needed. They also had options for sale : sodas, firewood, popsicle... The site is near a road, although it is completely quiet in the evenings. The sky was beautiful and area was very still. It's also near lots of fun things to do. I will be back again and again.

Perfectly fine for a night. Owner is really friendly. Pretty basic but still nice. Not really a campground, more of an open field in someone's backyard. But still perfect for one night and had porta potties and a shower which was really refreshing!
