Jasper Moss is a glamping retreat experience located on the remote Bois Blanc Island, Michigan, where you can unplug, rest, retreat and rejuvenate while surrounded by untouched nature. The venue consists of three yurts, an outdoor shower, sink and toilet, and fully screened outdoor kitchen. It is located across the gravel road from Lake Huron, next to a public nature preserve and a 5-minute walk from one of just two restaurants on the island.
The blue and turquoise yurts each have a full-sized bed, a small table and two chairs. The red yurt has two twin beds. There is basic electric access for a bedside light, fan, and charging of electronics as needed. The outdoor kitchen is fully screened in, and offers basic amenities for communal use, such as a refrigerator, grill, gas burner and griddle, toaster oven, coffee maker, and basic utensils, dishes, pots, and pans. Revelers will live comfortably close to the Earth and immersed in the diversity of flora, fauna, and geology.
Onsite is a separate art studio where we paint, turn wood, and do lapidary art.

Built in 1889 as a light station keeper’s house, this property later served the U.S. Coast Guard until it was decommissioned in the 1970s. White Rock offers big secluded parcels that give you a true sense of peace and nature. Camp ground is positioned on a 1 mile stretch of road and atv/snowmobile trail with very little traffic. This 120 acre parcel is filled with beautiful terrain and trees of every kind. Wildlife is abundant and the settings are naturally beautiful. Parcels are secluded from one another and roughly 0.25 to 0.50 acres a piece. Campsites are paved with limestone gravel and are considered rustic. Depending on the season there are one or two sanitary stations available. Quite generators are permitted. There is a hand pump well for water available near entrance of park. Campers, RV’s and Tenting is allowed. 8 minutes from Drummond Island. 1.5 Miles from Lake Huron Shores and beaches.

Great getaway not too far from home but far enough to feel like an escape! The site was secluded yet still close to nearby towns for anything needed. Having electric hookups was a major plus. Perfect spot for a quiet adult getaway.

You truly are sitting lakefront. I sat on a couple of boulders and just watched the waves. So incredibly peaceful.
Instructions were clear and directions were easy to follow.
One thing I will note is that you truly are rural - there is a grocery store and a few food options, but it's limited. Of you are an early riser, know that many of the food establishments open later.
The site is absolutely gorgeous. I simply could not have asked for a better experience.

Weekend Trip to Just Show Up Camping
I loved the view! Granted it was very windy the day I stayed there so that’s something to consider since your by lake. Very easy to get to the site and overall pretty clean. Had some clutter here and there but not a big deal. My only major critique is one, maybe put stone down on the path to the beach because it had really deep ruts and it was very muddy. I got my car stuck quite a few times. The other is the shower water did not really get warm. Again, not the end of the world but addressing those few things would make the site even better than it already is. Overall I’d give it an 8/10

Absolutely awesome campsite! The location couldn’t be better—close to the ferry for easy access to Drummond Island, yet tucked away enough to feel completely private and peaceful. The views of Lake Huron and Strawberry Island are absolutely beautiful and make this spot even more special. The host was outstanding—friendly, responsive, and an excellent communicator. Everything exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back!

This is a beautiful and very private site. I will absolutely be staying here again. The only thing I would caution about is there is poison ivy hanging into the first part of the path leading to the site and that the end of the board that goes over the stream goes into the water when you step on it. But if you keep this in mind when crossing, your foot will stay dry.

We had such a lovely time here! We’re Neebish Newbies and loved it. The freighters were a highlight for my fiancé and I loved the beautiful beach all to ourselves. Our dogs were able to be off leash all weekend which was so great! We went for a few brisk swims and enjoyed the dock for sunning. At night, we had wonderful fires with the provided fire pit and benches (nice to not have to bring camp chairs!) I can’t say enough good things about this camp!

Quick and easy campsite. Nothing fancy, but a really nice view by the water and all the essentials. Andrew was extremely communicative and accommodating (we changed to the other beach view site last minute). The only downside to the site was the bugs. It was fairly windy the first night so it was no issue, but the second night they were relentless - bring bug spray or some type of netting. No issues during the day time though. Good location, close to some hiking locations and parks. Easy to get to.

This was by far my favorite camping trip. Everything was so clean, calm, serene, well put together, and gorgeous. We drove 7 hours just to spend 2 nights here and it was well worth it. The beauty of the site cannot be fully captured in pictures. Once we arrived, we didn’t even leave the site. So much to do with paddling, exploring strawberry island, walking along the shores and just enjoying the views. This is a one of a kind location. My two dogs had a blast and got to roam free the whole weekend. There is also just an overall safe feeling you get at this campsite.
Everything is perfect and well thought out. I hope to return!

What makes this site unforgettable is the private rocky beach just steps away. Mornings bring spectacular sunrises over Lake Huron, nights are filled with the sound of waves rolling in, and the shoreline is covered in rocks of every kind waiting to be explored. The campsite itself was spacious and set up with electric hook-up, a picnic table, a firepit, and firewood provided. Well cared for and in a great location, it’s also an easy jumping-off point for Oqueoc Falls and Rogers City. It's definitely on my "visit again" list!

I loved my campsite here! The site itself is cozy and quite small, but I was able to find a comfortable spot to put my 4-person tent. You could see the lagoon and the lake from the campsite, which was great, and the access to the beach is unmatched. Amazing sunset view and stargazing, and I had a wonderful time walking along the beach at sunrise. The only downside is that it's a little stinky and quite buggy because of the sitting water, though I did not see any mosquitos among the bugs.

We truly enjoyed staying at Site 3- Lake Side East last weekend. It was perfect for the two of us and our dog. Previous reviews were accurate and helpful. Site 3 does not have a clear number, like site 1 and 2. We didn't realize at first that we could drive through to site 3, but were excited to see a larger, more private area to park by our site.
The view of the lake from our site was amazing! We didn't have any problem with mosquitoes certainly because of the constant breeze off the lake. The sound of waves crashing all night long was amazing and soothing.
Our only regret was the small things we hadn't prepared well enough for (first timers) and that we didn't have more time to enjoy it all. We have decided we need to return again to site 3, but next time we'll need a week to enjoy it all.

Great little spot right on the beech. No varments like raccoons, definitely no signs of bears, can get buggy or windy at times but thats the outdoors. Portajohns are a nice addition to the sites on that side of the road. Can't wait to get back. Friendly staff.
