My husband and I had an amazing time. We were welcomed by the hosts who showed us around and had recommendations of restaurants and things to do in the area! They were constantly checking in, making sure we had a great time. The place was clean, quiet, and cozy. It is a great experience for those who enjoy camping but want a cozy bed to sleep in at night. The hosts also made sure we had fire wood each day and cleaned the outhouse every day. Would highly recommend this prosperity, we will be back!

Weekend Trip to Torch Lake Stays
Connie and Dave are great hosts with a quiet getaway. The A-frame was comfortable and clean, with nature and the creek a very short distance away. Would definitely recommend for anyone who loves nature looking to be in the Torch Lake area

The property is nice to walk on and the cabin was very comfortable compared to what you typically get while camping. The bathhouse is well kept and the camp staff were helpful. However, Make sure you bring something to cook with the BBQ grill advertised was either not there or hard to find.
Other than that, a great experience, especially if you are new to camping.

Highly recommend Cabin #7! We stayed here after 3 long nights of tent camping and exploring the Upper Peninsula. The bathhouse was an absolute dream, and the cabin was beautiful. Definitely well worth it, the surrounding area was beautiful. Fun amenities like a playground, pavilion, hammocks, tetherball, corn hole, and volleyball. We enjoyed ourselves so much.

Weekend Trip to Torch Lake Stays
Connie and Dave have a beautiful property and went above and beyond as hosts. Their adorable A-frame was plenty of room for me and a friend to check out Northern MI. The property was clean and well taken care of and we felt completely out in nature with the off grid feel. On our second day my friend and I had a bit of car trouble (dead battery) but Dave came straight to our rescue! Although some of our plans didn’t pan out because of the car trouble, we still had a fabulous vacation. My absolute favorite part of the trip was the creek on this property, what a magical place to vacation❤️✨

I loved the A frame cabin. It was so nice to be camping but also get to shower and sleep in a comfy bed. The property is very spacious and we had a chance to get out and walk it several times. Our pup also really loved the dog park! It felt like you were away from the big city. But also we could get to anything we needed in 20 mins or so. Traverse City ~1 hr, dunes, beach, hiking, local produce….it was perfect for our idea of a camping vacation.

I can’t explain accurately how perfect this place was for my vacation. The cabin was clean, cute, and comfortable. The bathhouse was beautiful and clean. The property was very welcoming. We are already making plans to come back with the whole family because of how much we loved it! I almost didn’t want to write a review because this place is an absolute hidden gem that I don’t think will be a secret much longer!

I loved staying at Bear Woods Resort! Our cabin was so cute and a comfortable place to stay. We appreciated the air conditioning unit on hot days. The land was so nice and we loved the dog park for our dog to run around, as well as the hammock swing near our cabin. The bathrooms were nearby and fairly clean.

I’ve camped a lot and been to quite a few HipCamp places and this one by far is top on my list!! Wow! They truly live up to the ‘resort’ in the title with wonderful amenities, beautiful facilities, and such peaceful land. This will be a location we will 100% return to and I cannot wait to see the continued updates as they were still building and creating fun spaces on the land.

Cute and private little cabin, with very kind and helpful owners. The property felt like an adorable glamping situation with everything a couple could need, including a hassle free outdoor shower and outhouse. They provided plenty of wood for nightly campfires, linens and soaps, coffee, water and more. The back side of the cabin opens to a lovely, private tree covered area with a babbling brook and gorgeous scenery. Connie and Dave were very helpful with suggesting activities and restaurants in the area. We would definitely recommend this property and plan to be back in the future!

Adorable A frame cabin with all the glamping comforts (AC, hot/cold water dispenser, mini fridge/freezer, microwave, keurig, wifi, TV) and bathhouse with flush toilets and showers a short walk away. Beautiful property and host was very responsive.
