Our property is in the Village of Central Lake with a close walk to grocery, restaurants, and bars. On the bank of Intermediate lake, we offer quiet, peaceful retreat close to downtown Central Lake. You can dock your own boat at our dock, or take it along the Chain of Lakes from Bellaire to Ellsworth.
Located a short drive from Torch Lake, one of the most beautiful in the world, according to National Geographic Magazine, award winning golf courses, hiking trails, vibrant downtowns and local wineries. Centrally located between Traverse City, Petoskey, Gaylord or Charlevoix, day trips to the "city" is just a short drive away. This is a perfect 'base camp' centrally located to many of the glories of Northern Michigan.
You will be using our 28' travel trailer, with all the amenities - WiFi, A/C, very comfy queen mattress. We live on property, so we can be available if you wish.
Nothing can beat a campfire at the lake front, or sitting in the swing and watching the wildlife. Kayaks are available for lazy exploration of the water.

The home is located on crystal clear Dixon Lake. Sooth in our hot tub at the end of the day.
The home is an open concept with a large deck facing the lake. 3 bedrooms are upstairs, and both bathrooms. Ample closets to handle clothes, etc.
Downstairs is a large bedroom and a family/bunk room with a TV and an electric fireplace. We can comfortably sleep 11. The laundry is located in the basement, and in the back is private storage. Hot tub is included! So if you are out skiing or snowmobiling and need to warm up, or you just want to relax during your stay, we have you covered!
You will be able to access the entire property and the lake in summer and winter. The home is totally available except for the storage in the rear of the basement.

You are in a very private setting close to town. You will feel you are in the great outdoors with giant maple and oak trees on the property. Located on the edge of atv and snowmobile trails, and lots of room to hike.

We had an excellent stay at the Sweetwater Camper! The lake access was great and the views were beautiful. Kim was a great and responsive host. We loved drinking our coffee down by the lake in the mornings and watching the ducks swim by- it was so peaceful. It was also a great location as it was close to Torch Lake, and a drive away from Traverse City, Sleepy Bear Dunes and Charlevoix which we visited during our trip! There is the downtown area just a short walk away with shops, a grocery market, bars, ice cream shop and more!

We love the yurt camping. Very comfortable set up for glamping. It was so quiet and the island is so beautiful. We had a great time with the serenity of the place if you love quiet and simplicity. People in the island are friendly and helpful. There’s water for showering too and kitchen for cooking. Jasper provided super helpful advice which added to the experience.

The yurts at Jasper Moss are lovely to stay in!! The bed was so comfy and everything was clean. The bath house was the nicest vault toilet I’ve experienced and the shower had wonderful water pressure. The host family was so kind and accommodating. They were willing to help us with everything. Being long term residence of the island, they had so much knowledge to share with us.
