Location, location, location. A beautiful beachfront camp feels like Cape Cod or Maine, very unique and special for the U.P.. Visited some beaches around the world & this really is just as special, everyday the lake looked different, very scenic by itself. Never stayed somewhere this close to the water.
Perfect sandy beach and amazing views. Also the property has everything, from a sauna on the beach, to a couple great fire pits, and deck overlooking everything. Most importantly, it has electric, water, and a toilet/bathroom. Makes the place perfect with truly everything you need for RV camping so you don’t have to think of anything.
The sauna made it special, going from Lake Superiors slightly chillier waters into the sauna a back again is a perfect cherry on top. Definitely worth checking out, the best HipCamp I’ve been to so far.

Stunning site! A bit of a challenge for our 38’ class C….but managed. Unparalleled views and very private. Road down a bit angled. All in all a must see! Hope to come back for a longer visit! Dogs happy on the beach!

This is beautiful place. Your surrounded by trees on 3 sides minus where you pull in. In front of you is the bay. The fire pit has one high side and 3 low sides, which was nice for cooking. There is a picnic table, shovel, rake and ax and a clothes line left to use. There was also enough wood left for 2 or3 fires. Unfortunately it rained as we got there so alot of it was wet. They leave a hose with a sprayer by the entrance on a tree limb for water use. He did also supply the wifi password. You can walk out a good distance in the water before it drops off. Yes, you can hear some traffic from the main rd. But its more of background noise. The sunrise is not "in your face" nor is the sunset, it goes down behind some mts. But the bay is in the west side

4 nights at EcoXtreme Adventure Destination
My husband and I are expecting our first baby in December and this was the perfect spot to get away and find stillness within all the excitement 🥲 we love to camp and backpack but being pregnant this was the perfect in between of comfort and rustic backcountry vibes! We loved the sense of adventure and truly felt at home in this space. It was really fun to learn about the off grid / sustainable practices that make this place unique and fun to explore. This off grid cabin/land had such nourishing ambiance and character there was always something unique to notice within all the tiny details Linda and Darryl put into it or from others that were left behind. We enjoying slow mornings reading journal entries from past visits over slow brewed coffee, walking the land, fishing in the river and playing games over a home cooked meal! The cabin was located perfectly on the peninsula we were able to explore copper harbor and close enough to houghton hancock if we needed anything. This is definitely a trip we will always remember and can’t wait to make it back with our little guy sooner than later! Many continued blessings to everyone who gets to experience this GEM in Gods Land 🌲

Very nice and quaint cabin! It’s a great launching point for adventures around the peninsula. The sauna is great paired with a run down to the stream. They have everything you need to really relax and enjoy yourself.

Steve’s property is one of a kind. Right on the lake, soft sandy beach, stunning sunrises, and the long lake horizon all day!! The sauna is awesome. The deck sitting is comfortable and homey. Steve is an excellent host, everything was great!

This woodsy site on Huron Bay was fabulous for our family trip. We have a small pop-out camper that just fit on a spot with a great view of the water, and that left just one other small level spot for our kids' tent. It might prove challeging to fit a large rig.
It was great to have water fill up right there, and the convenience store down the road with all the basics.
The sandy beach area fun. It goes out a long ways before dropping off, which makes swimming and fishing a bit challenging. It's more of a wading beach. Our dog loved it.
There are houses on either side of the site, but they are not really visible through the decent stretch of woods and no one was there while we were there. There is a bit of road noise, but it's not all that busy and there is a thick screen of woods between the site and the road. The neighbor's dock is massive and juts out into deeper water mockingly beckoning you to go where you cannot tresspass.
The kayaks for rent did not come with plugs (they were definitely taking on water) or life vests, so they were a bit unsafe to take too far out in the bay, and they were a bit small for the 200+ lb people in our group. Fortunately we brought our canoe and managed to catch a single northern pike in 3 days. We saw quite a few fish jump, heard many birds, and had an ermine boldly cut through camp in front of us.
The only real complaint we had was that the porta-potty was unusable. We can deal with gross, but this one was beyond that.

Very nice few with a wonderful sandy beach and waterfront. Plenty of eagles, loons, and sturgeon jumping out front. Prepare to get creative behind the steering wheel to position your 20 plus foot trailer for the best view but it can be done. Fire pit is just ok and the porta john hasn't been pumped out in a long time ( glad we use our trailer for those things). Close to Finn Bar for lunch if needed and a few hikes to local waterfalls. Lastly, within seconds of connecting our Android phones to the local internet provided we were infected by a virus and both of devices need a factory reset.... currently working to get a backup done without passing on virus to the cloud storage.

Great lakefront site with lots of privacy. Campsite is a clearing separated from the main house. You have the whole area to yourself. An added bonus is the site has a full loop to enter and exit easily.

We enjoyed staying at Pat’s place. It is located on Huron Bay on Lake Superior just outside of L’Anse. The campsite is located past his place but enough woods between the house and the next residence to enjoy privacy. Pat was not on site but quickly responded to all questions that I had for him. Some firewood was supplied for first night…we left some for the next guest. Planning on returning again sometime. Only downside was the port o’ potty was small. A permanent outhouse a little larger would give this a 5 star rating. 😊

Absolutely awesome! Sleeping quarters are all up in the loft. Totally private. It was rainy part of the time we were there and it is so blissful with the raindrops on the tin roof. Thank you for sharing this unique getaway.

We loved using this space as our base camp for exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula! It had everything we needed for cooking breakfasts before a big day out and dinners after we returned. The loft for sleeping was cozy and comfortable. Our dog was incredibly stoked to be able to run around the cabin each morning and we felt safe at the location. We were lucky enough to meet Linda on our way out and she was so kind and thoughtful. We would love to stay here again!

Wonderful spot. About 20 minutes from town and a great base to explore the Keweenaw. Or stay on the beach and swim or kayak. Don’t miss the sauna followed by a cold plunge. Great communications with Steve, the owner. Highly recommended.
