The property goes across the creek to Sloop road, so you are more than welcome to explore the forests and wetlands. Please do not trespass on adjacent properties. This campsite gives you direct access to M-32, which leads to 131, M66, Charlevoix, Petoskey, East Jordan, Traverse City, Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc. The beautiful fern, filled property is rustic to a T! Outhouse on site, newly planted fruit trees on site, very rustic, serene, beautiful, access to the Milky Way, and meteoroid showers. One mile from launch into South Arm of Lake Charlevoix, and less than 0.5 mile to Jordan River Rogers Road access. Beautiful and peaceful area. Located in Lake Charlevoix Watershed Area. Visit some of the local beautiful farms such as Friske's, Lavendar Hill, local farmers markers, and vineyards! There is a casino located in Petoskey on Little Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan as well as Mackinaw, and are a short drive away! Take a jump off the breakwall, or visit the newest bridge at Boyne Mountain Resort, just a stone's throw away! Relax in peace, the woods, and enjoy a little slice of heaven. There is no electricity, running water, or trash services. Please pack in, pack out. Please do not leave discarded or broken beer or alcohol bottles on property. There are over 30 fruit trees on site, from Black Pearl and Bing Cherries, Apricots, Peach trees, Honeycrisp apples trees etc, 250 sunflower seeds were also planted this season. This is a very delicate area near a local watershed source, Deer Creek, wetlands on property, and also fruit tree farm in it's early stages, organic strawberries, and organic raspberries growing as well. If you can't respect the trees, plants, flowers, on property please do not book! Also with all of the fruit tree plantings, parking is limited to one to two vehicles inside property at site, other vehicles can park along the drive on M32. My husband and I had an amazing time. We were welcomed by the hosts who showed us around and had recommendations of restaurants and things to do in the area! They were constantly checking in, making sure we had a great time. The place was clean, quiet, and cozy. It is a great experience for those who enjoy camping but want a cozy bed to sleep in at night. The hosts also made sure we had fire wood each day and cleaned the outhouse every day. Would highly recommend this prosperity, we will be back!

Weekend Trip to Torch Lake Stays

Connie and Dave have a beautiful property and went above and beyond as hosts. Their adorable A-frame was plenty of room for me and a friend to check out Northern MI. The property was clean and well taken care of and we felt completely out in nature with the off grid feel. On our second day my friend and I had a bit of car trouble (dead battery) but Dave came straight to our rescue! Although some of our plans didn’t pan out because of the car trouble, we still had a fabulous vacation. My absolute favorite part of the trip was the creek on this property, what a magical place to vacation❤️✨

We had a wonderful stay at the Bunkhouse Among the Pines! Christine's cabin was a perfect place to rest after exploring the Traverse City area. The outhouse was clean and the outdoor shower was hot. We were very comfortable and enjoyed watching fireflies in the evening and birds in the morning. On our trip we went blueberry picking, cherry picking and hiking at Sleeping Bear Dunes. The location was perfect. Thank you Christine for being a wonderful host!

Weekend Trip to Bunkhouse in the Pines

My family absolutely loved staying in the little cabin. Lots of room and the necessities are already provided, including warm running water. Christine was an excellent host, offering us an extra night after missing the first from car troubles during travel. Very grateful for her kindness and flexibility, as we had a hard time finding the correct spot for putting up the tent after a long few days of travel. She was more concerned about the slant than the fact we were in the wrong spot. Hoping to return in the future!

Cute and private little cabin, with very kind and helpful owners. The property felt like an adorable glamping situation with everything a couple could need, including a hassle free outdoor shower and outhouse. They provided plenty of wood for nightly campfires, linens and soaps, coffee, water and more. The back side of the cabin opens to a lovely, private tree covered area with a babbling brook and gorgeous scenery. Connie and Dave were very helpful with suggesting activities and restaurants in the area. We would definitely recommend this property and plan to be back in the future!

Christine’s bunkhouse is perfectly located—just about 20 minutes from anything your heart desires in the Leelanau area, right in the middle of all the action. The bunkhouse and surrounding buildings were a great touch and made us feel right at home, with everything we needed. Cedar, MI is just down the road with a charming little downtown, a grocery/gas station, and an ice cream shop. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
