The name wolf Swamp comes from the Pony Express Riders that carried Mail from The Canterbury Railroad Station to The Northfield Station. There were many Wolf Sitings reported on the Trail through the Swamp by The Riders, so it was named The Wolf Swamp. The Campsites are spread out over 52 Acres, lots of privacy, plenty of parking and the sites are huge. Lots of hiking in area, 5 different Swimming locations, we are in the Center of the Local Trail System. Local attractions are minutes away, Highland Mountain Bike Park, Canterbury Aleworks, Canterbury Woods Country Club, Shaker Village, Brookford Farm, Hackleboro Orchard and Fishing or kayaking the Merrimack River or enjoying the Beach at Sandogardy Pond with it's children's Playground. Our driveway is located about 3 miles from the start of the Boston Marathon, 8 minutes from 495, but, down a country road. We find our property to be quite peaceful. We do have crickets and frogs to lull you to sleep and early birds to greet you in the morning.  Keep an eye out for turtles! We are a few hundred yards from either Upton State Forest or Lake Whitehall. Lake Whitehall is popular with boaters (speed limit enforced) and is stocked with fish. No swimming. There is a public boat ramp on the other side of the lake. We often put in our kayaks at the entrance close to our house. We hike, mountain bike and picnic in these parks. It's really beautiful.  There is a 24-hour grocery store 2 miles down the road.  The gravel campsite is located at the barn end of our driveway in front of the red barn. There is a little privacy from the house, but, we may need to get into the barn from time to time. We have a 30amp and water hookup at the barn. If planning on using electric please add one "electric hookup" extra to each night of your stay BEFORE finishing the request to book, it's really difficult to add it after. Please plan to bring 50' of hose and/or 25ft of electrical cord if using hookups. There is wifi, BUT, it's pretty weak at the barn. Definitely not strong enough for streaming! Our Ibex camper may or may not be parked next to the barn depending on if we are out camping!  We do not accept car campers. Turtle Path also has a Guest Suite. Find us on that other website! Shortly after we moved in we discovered a large snapping turtle on his way from Lake Whitehall to the creek at the back of our property. Our neighbor told us that's the turtle's usual route. Turtle won our hearts that day.

Our driveway is located about 3 miles from the start of the Boston Marathon, 8 minutes from 495, but, down a country road. We find our property to be quite peaceful. We do have crickets and frogs to lull you to sleep and early birds to greet you in the morning.  Keep an eye out for turtles! We are a few hundred yards from either Upton State Forest or Lake Whitehall. Lake Whitehall is popular with boaters (speed limit enforced) and is stocked with fish. No swimming. There is a public boat ramp on the other side of the lake. We often put in our kayaks at the entrance close to our house. We hike, mountain bike and picnic in these parks. It's really beautiful.  There is a 24-hour grocery store 2 miles down the road.  The gravel campsite is located at the barn end of our driveway in front of the red barn. There is a little privacy from the house, but, we may need to get into the barn from time to time. We have a 30amp and water hookup at the barn. If planning on using electric please add one "electric hookup" extra to each night of your stay BEFORE finishing the request to book, it's really difficult to add it after. Please plan to bring 50' of hose and/or 25ft of electrical cord if using hookups. There is wifi, BUT, it's pretty weak at the barn. Definitely not strong enough for streaming! Our Ibex camper may or may not be parked next to the barn depending on if we are out camping!  We do not accept car campers. Turtle Path also has a Guest Suite. Find us on that other website! Shortly after we moved in we discovered a large snapping turtle on his way from Lake Whitehall to the creek at the back of our property. Our neighbor told us that's the turtle's usual route. Turtle won our hearts that day.

Fantastic pitch next to the cantina on top of the hill. Amazing views, wild turkeys roaming and little fishing pond. Cider apple donuts for sale on site down the track. Cantina has toilets, kitchen (no stove) and water. Wash room with hot showers at the house down the hill. Brilliant place to stay.

We stayed two nights at Brook Side #9! It was a pretty site next to a little brook, which was so nice to fall asleep to at night. The campsites are close enough to each other to where you can see them, but sound is concealed well by the trees. Only downside is there was no hand sanitizer in the porta potty. Otherwise would recommend!

Beautiful, open, quiet, flat campsite. Large fire pit and having the firewood at the site was the best. The host provided great communication, a neat welcome gift with a map of the property. Listening to the owls and star gazing was unbeatable. Will be returning as our travels carry us north.

We absolutely loved staying here! So many good things to say! Camping with THREE bathrooms with HOT water!! Directions to site were clear. Everything as described. Grass was nice and short at the site, which we appreciated. We were even able to find a 100% level spot without using our maxtrax which is also unheard of! The fields to the left and right side of the site had the corn harvested before we got there. While we were there, we got to see the field across be harvested which was pretty cool! The landing strip is also no joke, do not park near it. There was a plane that came by twice as what I’ll describe as doing a practice landing. It came down low to the runway as if it was going to land but didn’t. It was extremely cool to see! But shewwww felt close!

Beautiful, peaceful, private location on Mt. Kearsarge in Warner, NH. Vehicles can easily enter private driveway, room for camper van and class B but not large RV. Bordering Rollins State Park and Kearsarge Mtn. State Forest, that encompasses 3,893 acres that covers most of Mt. Kearsarge. My campsite is located at the historic property settled by the Watkins family in the early 1790's. Abner Watkins was a founding father of Warner and a soldier in the Revolutionary War serving under Ebenezer Webster, father of Daniel. They fought in the Battles of Bennington, Bunker Hill and Saratoga and came back victorious. Abner with his wife Ruth and family retired up here on the mountain and is buried at the small cemetery down the road. Enjoy this peaceful spot surrounded by beautiful oak, maple, birch, pine, hemlock and ash trees. Abundant wildlife lives on the mountain including deer, moose, bear, bobcat and turkeys. Plenty of shade and a new picnic table. Right next door is the Rollins State Park toll gate to drive up Mt. Kearsarge and also access to miles of hiking trails. New 8’ X 11’ tent on raised platform. Fire pit (when permitted) with plenty of firewood. New clean outhouse and fresh water from nearby faucet.

At one point in the early 1900's it was home to itinerant farmers who farmed the nearby fields. Our property was the dumping grounds for the stones/rocks that were pulled from the fields. You will notice lots of them throughout the property! Our site is a well manicured area near our house on a 3-acre parcel. There is lots of sun and shade depending on when and where you happen to be on the site. There is plenty of space to pull out your favorite lawn game and a great firepit to keep warm at night. You're free to explore the land and trails that go part way around the pond to the "Big Rock" and beyond. Info at the campsite for other nearby hikes and activities. We allow public access to the "Grassy Area", however larger camper groups that book this site have full access and are welcome to setup tents there, but no fires are allowed on the grass.. only in designated fire pit. (FOR THOSE WITH A TOW BEHIND CAMPER, you will want to drive to the pond boat landing at the end of Chapman Pond Rd, turn around, head back towards the campsite and BACK IN.)
