This was our second trip to the sunrise cabin. The charm of this quaint spot cannot be overstated. We enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere, which always comes with the bonus of sheep, which visit in the evenings. The host was friendly as always. If you tire of relaxing by the fire or reading a book, there are plenty of swimming and paddling opportunities nearby, as well as dining. The Sunrise Cabin is a perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Camping on Mark and Trish’s homestead was amazing. Hosts were VERY nice and welcoming. The cabin was well kept and the land was both clean and quiet. Outhouse and restroom with shower were both available. Plenty to do in the nearby towns, mainly fishing and swimming. Restaurants around were great, cute little area. Perfect for couples or friends.

Beautiful stay—better than expected! The cabin had everything we needed and felt cozy, while the surrounding clearing and mountain view made the property feel open, peaceful, and private.
We loved walking the trails, spotting mushrooms, picking blueberries, seeing deer three times, and listening to the birds and an owl at night. It rained during part of our stay, and the sound of the rain on the roof made the cabin even cozier.
The bathroom was just a few steps from the cabin, spotless, and absolutely adorable. Thoughtful touches like dog bowls were appreciated, and the scenic drive into the property was part of the fun. It’s also very close to a beautiful rail trail for biking.
This is the perfect place if you’re new to camping or haven’t camped in years like we were. It offers all the beauty of nature with just the right amount of comfort. We’d definitely come back!

Our host, Holly, and other farm staff were so kind to us, including taking us on a tour of the farm and describing the foundations of its functions, offering a delicious (and beautiful) breakfast, and answering our many questions! We loved Black Bear Lodge on Tuttles Homestead! We spent five nights and six glorious days in the adorable cabin. The place was so comfortable and the host's were wonderful. We had firewood ready for us when we arrived and we were given a tour of the cabin and facilities. Mark also provided great information about the area; recommending places to visit including restaurants, hiking trails and beaches. The cabin was remote enough to feel like we were in the wilderness and close enough to everything to enjoy the beauty of Maine and New Hampshire. We truly hope to go back again next year.

Such an adorable spot. The hobbit house was very clean and comfortable. Had fun interacting with the cows and chickens on the property. We took advantage of the farm-fresh breakfast and were so glad we did! Delicious and clearly a lot of thought and care went into it. There’s a cute little trail that snakes through the back of the property that was great for spotting cool mushrooms. Wouldn’t absolutely come back here and recommend it to others.

The house was very cozy with everything we could possibly need for a weekend stay. I think the photos don't do it justice about how charming it was. The host was incredibly responsive to us before and during our stay. The pond is good sized and easy to enter.
