What a great place to stay a day or more and enjoy the property. They grow green leaf veggies, herbs etc there and it is very well organized. The grounds keeper, Jen is delightful and a go getter. The house is surrounded by flowers, shrubs etc and is beautiful. Elect is limited to no more than 15 amps, the outlets are 20. There is some mild local road traffic but very reasonable noise and quiet at night. It is the best hipcamp we have stayed at. We thank Phanat for offering his property for a stay in New Iberia.

Traffic on the neighborhood road is not bad and the sound of the train, two time during the night was not very loud. The Farm and grounds keeper, Jen is delightful and very helpful. I would most definitely recommend Damon's land for camping! It was peaceful and quiet but not too far from town. As a solo female camper, I felt safe. Having access to the RV (which could have been a little cleaner, but was not the worst public bathroom I've seen!) with a flush toilet, hot running water, and shower was a game changer for my trip ~ I had planned to split my 2 week vacation between camping and hostels, but decided to camp the whole time! I will camp on Damon's land again the next time I am in Louisiana!

We loved staying at Phanats garden, it is a beautiful respite from a largely industrial area. It was so lovely to check out the gardens and so many plants and beautiful brick buildings. I would say this hipcamp makes more sense if u have an rv or trailer, tent camping was okay but it did rain and the grounds flooded (which Phanat warned us would happen so no fault to them). We felt very safe and would stay again albiet maybe during a dryer season.

This campsite is beautiful. The host, Damon, is a wonderful guy. He does live on-site which wasn't an issue, in fact, I felt safer knowing he was around. The upkeep on the property is well done. Damon allowed us to move sites when we realized we weren't getting as much shade as we wanted in the peak of the day. Our dogs had plenty of room the explore and run. My husband and I were so impressed that we extended our stay. Other notes: This property isn't super remote. Yes there are neighbors and traffic but nothing remotely as bad as a hotel by the interstate or even a KOA.

We really enjoyed our two nights at Damon’s camp site. It was so quiet and peaceful, exactly what we needed. Upon arrival, Damon provided the electric cord and it was easy to get hooked up. Water hose was near by, the shower and flush toilet, located in an older trailer was much appreciated.

A great little RV park in Baton Rouge. A lot of amenities available: a large pool, a small laundry area, a small convenience store in the main office area, ice machine ($3 a bag), and a lazy river (this was probably the only not great feature as the water was about a foot low and not really flowing). Would definitely stay again if we ever pass through again.
