Nestled on a sprawling 40 acre farm just 15 miles from downtown Nashville, this cozy cabin is a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature's beauty. At the front of the property you will find horses in the paddocks as well as chickens, mini donkeys, a sheep, a pig, mini Highland cows, and dwarf Nigerian goats, all within the barnyard. A spring fed creek runs along the front of the property by the road and there is a stocked one acre pond near the main home. Also near the main home is treehouse "cabin" complete with a swinging bridge. Feel free to bring fishing poles, feed and pet the animals, and gather eggs early in the morning. Tucked in the hollow of the surrounding ridges, the rustic cabin sits on the hillside with a small pond at the foot. A wide front deck with rocking chairs and a double glider overlooks the pond, offering a perfect spot to have coffee at sunrise or unwind beneath the stars. The cabin is furnished with antiques, a fluffy queen bed, and an oversized bunk above. Although the cabin is meant to be a retreat from modern electronics, it does have a cieling fan, light, TV, and outlets powered by solar panels. There is an outdoor sink and small tankless hot water shower head, gravity fed by a water tank on the hillside. You will also find an RV toilet behind the cabin under the awning.

Enjoy the lovely setting of this A Frame that is sitting on a bluff overlooking a creek through the trees. Behind the A Frame is an open meadow up top with a firepower area and also the shower house/washroom. From the parking area, you can walk up a trail to get up to the cabin; or if you have more of an off road vehicle you may drive up top and around to the back side of it. On quiet evenings, hear the sound of the creek down below and listen to the woodland sounds!

The space Creekdance is located on 20 acres of prime Kentucky vegetation in the hills of Kentucky. Dry Fork Creek runs adjacent to the entire property. While it is not deep enough to kayak, it is certainly fun to dip your toes in and walk through the ever-flowing water. Several walking paths and bird boxes can be found throughout the property. It is a great place to write, paint, read, do yoga or just rejuvenate and "get right" with nature. Get the best sleep of your life on a Nectar mattress with the sounds of the creek drifting through the window. NEW this year - 125-yard golf driving range available. Golf balls provided. Bring your clubs! Guest access Guests have a private cabin all to themselves. They may feel free to wander around the property, venture onto the walking paths, walk in the creek, etc. The only space that is off limits is my cabin down the creek. Of course, if there is some kind of emergency, feel free to come find me. Other things to note While pets are allowed, there will be a $25 charge per day/per pet, paid to hosts upon arrival. I have a very friendly dog of my own on the property who free-roams. Also, if guests leave their pets in the cabin while they are gone, the pets must be crated. Inside the cabin, the bathroom is equipped with an Incinolet toilet. I find that it is quite efficient if used properly. Instructions will be given upon arrival and are included on the wall in the bathroom. We can only accommodate TWO guests at a time in the cabin due to the Incinolet's capability.

This cabin is a one room open floor plan style w/ a detached shower house & restroom combo. There is no restroom in the cabin. Absolutely beautiful property. Not far from Mammoth Cave. 2D was a fantastic host, answered all our questions, and made sure we had what we needed to have a good trip. Truly a kind and hospitable man. Stayed 3 nights in dream catcher. It felt like falling asleep on a cabin porch. Will definitely be back. Could see this being a fun place for kids. Lots of woods, a river, and buildings on the property to explore. First time using hipcamp. So happy it went as well as it did!

Barren River Magic is magical, indeed! The farm is breathtaking, the facilities are perfectly maintained, and 2d is so kind and helpful! We stayed in the RV and it was such a treat. Our dog absolutely loved splashing around in the river and just enjoyed being off-leash in general. I truly can’t recommend this place enough. 5 stars with no hesitation!

1 night at Baker Hollow Farm in Nashville

My boyfriend and I stayed at the beautiful cabin for 1 night. We arrived late at night but they still welcomed us, showed us how to get to the cabin and how everything works there (outside shower, lights, power etc.). The cabin was very hidden from everything, very quiet, it felt like a real nature retreat. The whole property itself was also absolutely stunning, they have the sweetest animals, honestly they were so andorable and friendly, and you guys were so nice! Thank you again for everything! Btw, the dog and that one lighter brown horse are so cuddly and happy for visitors 😍 we would’ve loved to stay longer but we were on a tight time schedule.

The Cedar Ridge Cabin was impeccably clean and had the coolest off-grid gadgets! I maintained a similar cabin for several years and know how much work goes into such a spot. The craftsmanship and attention to detail at this cabin was inspiring to say the least! My son and I enjoyed the adventure hike down to the river and watching the nighttime critters in the field. I love every experience at Barren River Magic. This is my second time staying in the Tin Bin and it's a lovely, secluded spot still close to all the places you want to roam on site. 2D is a consummate host and the spaces are always interesting and comfortable. The land, however, is the real draw. Just being on site, in the woods and water, the fireflies at night, the stars, sitting by the firepit and just being...it is, in fact, Magic.

We loved staying in Danny’s cabin! Since we usually camp, this was the perfect mix of roughing it and glamping while still feeling like we were one with nature. Nothing was better than sitting on the porch and watching all the fireflies come out. Bring plenty of bug spray for the hike down to the river because there were lots of ticks.
