Located in rural Kansas, 12 miles south of Topeka along the path of the Santa Fe Trail. This camping spot will make you feel like you're one with nature and is within driving distance to quality shopping and entertainment. Pop up your tent or park right next to the private pond. Sites are hidden from the road and secluded. However, we do live on the edge of the railway so the train will make an appearance during your stay. Whether it's a spot to crash before and after a day of skiing, taking a road trip, or simply shaking off cabin fever, this is the spot for you. The pond has a dock to sit on as you watch the sunrise. Bring your fishing gear and cast a line into our well-stocked pond. A table, fire rings, wood, and a smoker grill for cooking are provided for your use. Enjoy a day of fishing or strolling the property and finish off a relaxing day by watching the sunset by the fire. Camping is primitive with no shower facilities. We also have roughly 3 miles of wooded trails for you to explore. There is a playground for the kids to play on, a basketball court, and a sand volleyball pit. This is very camp at the lake style. Bedding is not included for camp bunk beds. Cabins do not have restrooms built in, but we have shower houses on site for you to use. They do have electricity, heat, and air conditioning. We stayed one night at Steve and Sharon’s land during our road trip from Nebraska to Kansas, and it was such a lovely experience! My children absolutely loved it — especially the Yut, fireplace and adorable, friendly horses that my younger son couldn’t get enough of. The Yut was spotless, cozy, and very comfortable. It was so beautiful in the night under the moon and stars. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone!

We stayed in the yurt and it was awesome! We enjoyed not having to set up a tent and it was already set up and the inside was very nice! We were on the way to Colorado so glad we found this place! They were very responsive and very helpful. We chatted with Steve for a little while when we got there after he showed us back to the campsite. He is very friendly and would highly recommend!

I loved our glamping experience! As a family of 4 with 2 people having high medical needs this was perfect. Having literally everything we needed already at the site was so thoughtful and made our trip stress free. With access to electricity and running water we had everything we needed and even with pouring rain we had an incredible time.

Easy to get to off the highway for a one night stay and then back on the road. The host greeted us kindly when we arrived and we parked in the tent area. We car camped in the back of our SUV. The toilet was a little far to walk, especially in the middle of the night for me and my child. maybe they can add one closer? It was a peaceful and idyllic and we saw fireflies.

Traveling home from vaca we were looking for a spot off the beaten path, quiet and somewhat secluded. This spot was definitely off the beaten path, quiet for the most part but the trailer spot is right off their main road. Secluded, is debatable. The trailer spot is approximately 300 ft from the host’s house. It is shaded with their farm animals within view. Horses and chickens. I’m not sure this would be suitable for us for a long stay but for a quick overnight it served its purpose. Host - Steve was helpful and very informative and helped with making sure we knew where to hook up. They did inform us of their land and where we could walk around but unfortunately due to the amount of traveling we took the opportunity to just rest.

Steve was great. He showed me around the site and gave me info in his hiking trails, restaurants and more. The site is beautiful and is located right by a field where he keeps his horses. The bed was super comfy. If you go in summer be ready for lots of mosquitoes and bring tick repellent if you plan to hike on his property. I’d definitely go back.

This was our second stay in as many months and have enjoyed both stays. We stayed in the rental tent in March, then the Yurt in April. Hostess are great and we enjoy walking the property. If you forget something town is close enough to get what you need.
The Yurt would be great for a scout group as there is ample room in the Yurt.

Sheri and I had a great stay and enjoyed the property. We went for a walk to the hill top and enjoyed the beautiful view. Cooking over an open fire was nice. It's was a windy weekend but hardly noticeable at the camp site. None of the comforts of home and that is what we were needing. Just me ,my wife and my dog. Steve is a wonderful host occasionally riding by to check in, Steve would give us a thumbs up and keep on going unless we needed something. We have already booked another weekend
