The history of North Shore Marina is rich and fascinating. In 1935, a devastating storm caused significant flooding in the area, leading to the loss of the original Republican City. In response, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers selected this location for a dam, and by 1952, the city was relocated to higher ground, paving the way for the establishment of the first North Shore Marina. Over the years, the marina has undergone numerous transformations, including a major renovation following the flood of 2019, which resulted in a stunning new facility.
