Base Camp was my first experience with my new-to-me camper and Hipcampers and it was a great experience! Base Camp is set up very well...easy to get in and out of - especially for anyone with little experience. The pull through spots are very wide. Although I didn't get to use the free to use bicycles or canoes on this trip I did check them out and they are very well taken care of. The Camp was peaceful and although it's just off the roadway it was very quiet with very little road noise. I will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The campsites were nice and level, making setup easy. Campers have access to a beautiful pond surrounded by trees — perfect for relaxing. The paddle boats and provided life jackets were a fun bonus, and we loved having bikes available and easy access to the nearby bike trail. A couple of things could be improved: the grounds could use more frequent mowing, and a larger trash receptacle for campers would be helpful. Overall, it’s a peaceful and enjoyable spot, and we’d definitely come back!

We had the property to ourselves, after dinner took a walk around the very well kept grounds. There are bikes and canoes for use to people staying and about 8 little cabins for a glamping getaway. Base Camp was an amazing weekend getaway and we wished we had another day there! The bathrooms were amazing and bike repair building is a great amenity which also includes a room with pool table, couches, and kitchen. We met Jon and his wife during our stay and it was evident they love having this space for people to enjoy, great conversation and stories! The pond was a great place to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning & dinner in the evening. Our doggies also gave this two paws up for the open space to walk around and explore.

We loved our time at Base Camp, we will return. From the easy to find location to the quiet peaceful nights, and everything between!! We enjoyed kayaking in the early morning, walks in the evening and just listening to the bugs buzz at night. Nice little hidden gem ❤️
