Weekend Trip to Happy Campers Campground
I was looking for a location close to Terre Haute where we could decompress after an outdoor workshop with my dog that ran a full weekend. I had previously stayed in the local hotels, but wanted something with space, quiet, and most of the standard comforts.
I was pleasantly surprised when we walked into the cabin on the first night that there was a/c. I must have not read carefully because I was ready for a humid evening, but the a/c was on and the cabin felt great! The fridge was big enough for my meals, the microwave was full size and heated up morning coffee in a jiffy. Everything was clean and organized. Bed was comfy, but honestly I’m not too picky — especially after working outdoors for 10 hours. I also don’t mind an outhouse, even when it rained for a brief period. The short distance had a nice big tree that provided cover most of the way.
The owner met me as we were unpacking and went over the form. And we had a quick chat about my weekend, and he made sure we had everything we needed.
Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Havendell Farm and Wayside
I am so glad I chose to stay the weekend at Havendell. I live on the east side of the state and had several ballgames to attend in Brownsburg, Plainfield and Southside Indy. This was a very nice location to be between games. It was a pleasant change of scenery. Dave always responded quickly. He was very courteous to ask if some planned farm work would impact my stay, prior to accepting the fee. I appreciated that thoughtfulness and consideration.
I plan to come back sometime, just because, no agenda and just chill!

Weekend Trip to Acacia Farms
Great glamping set up on peaceful farmette. Close to host's home, but far enough away to have privacy. Comfortable table & chairs and campfire ring with firewood right outside door. Enjoyed dining outside with view of the pasture. The outdoor shower delivered hot water on a cool morning. Simple mini kitchen set up was handy. Comfortable bed. Best part were the friendly goats and being able to glamp with our dog! She never saw chickens before and boy did she love running circles around the coop! (We put her on a tie-out later so that they could relax too.)

Staying at Havendell was so simple and just what I needed. I was passing through the Indy area as I used to live here and just needed somewhere to park my rig for a couple of nights. My shuttle bus isn't fully built out, so having access to a port-a-potty and somewhere safe and quiet each night was just perfect, and Dave made it so simple. It felt very private and was an amazing landing spot as I passed through. Thank you again, Dave!

My favorite Hipcamp :) Been here so often it feels a bit like coming home to get in and get set up! Dave reached out to me a few days before my stay to give me a heads up about some minor flooding from the rains we had. There were no issues but it was great to have the heads up.

This is a lovely, quiet camping spot not too far from downtown Indy! It sits on a small farm with horses & chickens which are kept fenced off some ways away from the camp area. The camp area is a cozy gravel driveway in front of the horse barn, and the way it's laid out still feels private when sharing the space with other campers. There's a port-a-potty on site that is cleaned regularly and exceptionally. If you're car camping bring your own water to wash up. Huge open pasture space with open skies (but no shade during the day is something to be mindful of!) I loved listening to the sounds of all the blackbirds playing and chirping up in the willow trees. Watching the sunset here is amazing. Arranging this camping trip was hassle-free. Dave was quick to respond, his wife Tara is very nice, & and it was super easy to find the property with the big wagon for Havendell Farm out front. I just pulled in and setup camp. Also, I got great cell service out here, too! Thank you for sharing this sweet spot with Hipcamp!

Weekend Trip to Acacia Farms
I absolutely loved my stay at Acacia farms! Leah Ann accommodated my traveling needs and really went the extra mile to make sure quests feel comfortable. The shed house was adorable and cozy, and the location featured many extra amenities including a fire pit, a large backyard, and of course a barn full with baby goats that made me wish I could have stayed longer!! If you are passing through the area I would highly recommend booking here.
