Riverfront Base Camp

Park your RV, overland rig, pitch a tent, or sleep under the stars next to the Coeur D’ Alene River. Be advised this is directly next to State Highway 3. If you are a light sleeper, or road noise bothers you, this is not the campsite for you. At the camp, you can launch your kayaks at the river to go for an adventure down through the Chain Lakes, all eight are accessible by the river adjacent to where you will sleep. The bird and wildlife watching in this area is world class. Ospreys, hawks, turkeys and other animals commonly hang out in these parts. You can go for a swim at one of the sandbars, take your dirt bikes or side by sides down Killarney Lake Road to access an extensive network of trails and dirt roads into remote wilderness. There is no cell service, no water or electrical hookups, or toilet. As beautiful as it is, your experience will not be “glamping” unless you come with all the comforts you personally desire. You can hunt on the forest service land by 4th of July Pass, fish on the river, or on the Chain Lakes (with the proper permits, of course). There is a access into the water from camp but it is quite steep. For easy access to the water, use the docks or boat launch at Killarney Lake or Bull Run. Pets and kids are allowed at your own risk. Be advised the highway and river are hazardous for off-leash animals and rambunctious toddlers. Please send a message if you have any questions. I am happy to help.

We are closed for the season. See you in May 2025! We open Memorial Day weekend. Est: 2016. We live on a pretty farm outside of town on a mountain. Our reservations are by request only. If you're new to Hipcamp (just signed up/no reviews/never been on a trip), please tell us something about you and why you'd like to stay at our farm. Fun part: It is beautiful, quiet and peaceful here with mountaintop views, a large orchard and garden. We have two adorable rescue bunnies that provide fun entertainment. We have two hospitality areas where you can use our refrigerators, microwaves and a really cool old fashioned outhouse. There's a day use cabin with a shower and flushing toilet. We also have a little museum in our barn. If you catch us at the right time, we'll show you our magical forest with the fairy trails! If you'd like to have our space for just you/your group (no other guests here), let us know in your message, and we can provide additional information. Unfun part: - No pets. - No check-ins after 8:30pm. It gets really dark here, and we don't keep outside lights going. - We have a 2 night limit. - No motorcycles and nothing with a generator. Over 4000' of Little Beaver Creek provide the boundary to fenced & cross-fenced hay fields with a backdrop of the Bitterroot and Cabinet Mountains. The scenery is exceptional and area resources are astounding. Finding refuge on the ranch, wildlife is plentiful and diverse. The nostalgic, red 7,200 square foot, 7-stall barn serves as a functional centerpiece to the property and as a solid scenic landmark. Historic structures abound, with two barns, a carriage house, school house and bunkhouse to explore. A four-bedroom guest house offers short and long-term options for overnight accommodations. RV camping (large level site, covered patio, picnic table, electric and water hook-up) is also available through the Hip Camp program. The setting supports special events, weddings, horse boarding, cattle grazing and other activities, including winter cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Little Beaver Creek Ranch is surrounded by public lands with miles of backcountry hiking trails, and roads. Additionally, nearby Sex and Cougar Peak historic fire lookouts are available for overnight stays. These area resources also include easy access to the Clark Fork, Flathead, Big Blackfoot, Bull, Yaak and Kootenai Rivers, as well as Noxon Reservoir, Flathead and Pend Oreille Lakes for exceptional boating and fishing opportunities. Sweitzer and Lookout Pass ski resorts are a reasonable drive from the property and offer outstanding skiing and support facilities.

Badger Campground

We are on 20 acres and have developed ¾ acre for camping. Badger drive is just off a well-maintained gravel county road. We are less than 15 minutes from St Maries, where you will find dump sites and water refill station at the fairgrounds or at Ed’s R & R. There are 2 grocery stores, gas stations and a UTV rental place called Northwest Outdoor Rental Co. There is also Hidden Gem Resort and arcade where you can rent kayaks. In St Maries you can find easy access to the St Joe and St Maries rivers. 9 miles west of St Maries is Heyburn Park where you will find multiple hiking trails, access to Chatcolet Lake (which is at the south end of the Coeur ‘d Alene Lake system). Outdoor recreation options are limitless in this area. Coeur ‘d Alene is an hour and a half north from our property and Moscow is and hour and a half SW of our property. We are 2 miles from State land and a 25-minute ride on an ATV to the St Maries River. The area is abundant in wildlife: elk, deer, coyotes, cougars, moose, rabbits, grouse, badgers and more. There are 3 RV sites tucked into the trees, a large open tent site and a second tent site that is in the trees. There is a pull around drive to access the sites with a large, shared grass area in the center. Things are still in development so currently it is dry camping only. There are water spigots at each site but only for fire suppression if needed as water is not potable. RV sites are graveled with plenty of room to park your truck. Our home is approximately 300 yards up from the camping area and we have neighbors nearby with farm animals. So you can expect to hear roosters crowing and goats calling for more grain. We do have dogs. One of them stays penned up but the other is a guardian dog. She is friendly but keeps the other animals safe from predators such as coyotes and cougars. We allow animals but only if they are kept on a leash or in your RV.

Welcome to “Peaceful Pinecone Grove” campground on a tranquil, secluded 3-acre homestead with myriad outdoor recreation activities nearby including: + Silverwood Theme Park and Farragut State Park, both a 5 minute drive + The quaint community of Bayview and beautiful Lake Pend Oreille, 10 minutes away + Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint, both 30 minutes away + Super One Foods, ACE Hardware, an urgent care center and a gas station, along with Highway 95, just about a mile away This spacious, level, shaded back-in camp site provides all necessary hookups for your camper or trailer: electric, water and sewer. Wifi is provided as well. The space is most perfect for “van life” folks, designed by a host with her own glamping van that she keeps on the property. Having your own self-contained bathroom on board is preferred, but you are welcome to use our outhouse with a compost toilet and camping sink/water that will be shared with guests at the one glamping tent across the walking path. You’re welcome to pitch a tent or use the hammocks under the trees. There is a walking path through the woods, an outdoor clawfoot bathtub for cold plunges, and a trampoline. We’ll provide a couple of lounge chairs and a side table as well. On the homestead we grow a large selection of vegetables, fruit and flowers. We also have a rooster and chickens that provide fresh eggs, and 2 VERY adorable tabby kitties that you’ll see roam the premises. Please do not enter the chicken coop, collect any firewood or pick from the garden as I am growing produce for the local farmers market. You are welcome to visit the garden, but please keep the gates shut for deer protection. Homemade breakfast can be available upon request (coffee/tea, homemade German style bread or pretzels, jam, farm fresh eggs, freshly squeezed juices). We can also pack a lunch box for you with sandwiches and fruit. Please refer to the pictures for an idea of options. Breakfast and boxed lunches are $20 per person. We also offer kayak and SUP rentals for $15 per day. We look forward to hosting you and making your stay memorable!
