Park your RV, overland rig, pitch a tent, or sleep under the stars next to the Coeur D’ Alene River.
Be advised this is directly next to State Highway 3. If you are a light sleeper, or road noise bothers you, this is not the campsite for you.
At the camp, you can launch your kayaks at the river to go for an adventure down through the Chain Lakes, all eight are accessible by the river adjacent to where you will sleep.
The bird and wildlife watching in this area is world class. Ospreys, hawks, turkeys and other animals commonly hang out in these parts.
You can go for a swim at one of the sandbars, take your dirt bikes or side by sides down Killarney Lake Road to access an extensive network of trails and dirt roads into remote wilderness.
There is no cell service, no water or electrical hookups, or toilet. As beautiful as it is, your experience will not be “glamping” unless you come with all the comforts you personally desire.
You can hunt on the forest service land by 4th of July Pass, fish on the river, or on the Chain Lakes (with the proper permits, of course).
There is a access into the water from camp but it is quite steep. For easy access to the water, use the docks or boat launch at Killarney Lake or Bull Run.
Pets and kids are allowed at your own risk. Be advised the highway and river are hazardous for off-leash animals and rambunctious toddlers.

This 10 acre parcel is on a south facing slope with a forest of growing trees that are all 12 feet apart. Wildlife like deer, turkeys, and an occasional moose are common. One can walk through the woods or just sit and listen to nature all around. It's a great place for hammock camping! Two miles to the East is Lake Coeur d'Alene with great boating, kayaking, and fishing. Loffs Bay has a public boat ramp and lake access.
This is not a good site for RV's! It is great for a jeep/subaru/small SUV. The trees are 12 feet apart and turning around would be difficult with an RV or trailer!

Beautiful location, easy to find, felt very safe and the space is perfect! David is very kind and a great host! His property is so lovely, next time I will stay longer to explore the numerous nature trails on the land, thank you David !!

Great spot! Isolated and close to water. Water is fine to swim in as I think most bodies of water in this area have the same warnings just maybe not as concentrated? Idk, my husband and I didn’t grow any extra limbs or anything crazy! Plan to come back again soon :)

Great area to camp at and the camp host was very helpful telling us about things to do in the area. Very quiet but still easy to get to town activities and lake recreation activities. If you have rv trailer longer then 30 feet it might be a little challenging to get up the hill to to the campsite. We definitely will be back:)

David’s land was quiet, yet close to Cd’A and he was very hospitable to us. It was very clean and beautiful, and we wish we could’ve stayed another night before continuing our journey! AT&T had a couple LTE bars so you’re also not disconnected if you don’t want to be. Highly recommend.
