Get ready to unwind on our historical farm that feels a world away but is just a 10-minute drive to downtown! Our cozy Bell Tent glamping site is perched to take full advantage of breathtaking sunsets and moonrises, rolling fields, and wildlife, giving you a front-row seat to nature’s show. A 2-minute drive (or 15 min walk) up the road, you’ll find hiking trails for all skill levels. The same distance down the road is our favorite winery offering tastings and a delightful ambiance for an evening out. They often have live music and food, but they welcome you to bring a charcuterie board of your own. Upon arrival, you’ll see a sign to pull in to our temporary parking beside the upper garden. A short (250 ft) walk to the site and you can settle in your camp. The site is equipped with a basic outdoor kitchen with a potable sink (fed directly from our healthy well), propane camp stove and basic utensils. We ask that you keep food put away in coolers or plastic container to avoid attracting pests. The outhouse is just 35 feet from the site. Our site is designed with eco-friendliness in mind and the outhouse is equipped with a basic composting toilet. Please use wood shavings after each toilet use and dispose of all non compostable items in the provided garbage can on deck. In the tent, you’ll find a luxurious and firm queen size bed and compact tables for storing your items. We provide a power bank of electricity for those that need a c-pap (tested and true), or charging devices. Stay warm all night with our propane heater, down comforter and optional heated blanket. Up for exploring? Just stick to the mowed pathways and enjoy the different settings. A hammock waits in the shade of the cherry plum tree at the bottom of the property. The old homestead site is a nice loop and easy/moderate hike perfect for kids to explore. Enjoy a peaceful stay while still being close to it all. Looking to do some hiking? We are loaded with nearby alpine lakes, peaks, and more trails to suit your needs and adventure cravings. Danny has hiked the majority of them in the area and is always up to help plan and recommend local hikes. Furthermore, we are nearby and centralized to many must-see places. As stated, Silverwood Theme Park and Farragut State Park (including their gun range) are all located ten minutes or less from our property. Other places to see include Bayview, Idaho and Sandpoint, Idaho - both situated on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille. Things to note: -Your site will be fully stocked to meet your tent camping needs! This includes a picnic table, a smokeless fire pit, fire starting materials, and a pad or pads to accommodate your tent(s). -Nicely sized firewood bundles will be available for purchase. -Our campground has a fully functioning outhouse that we take great pride in maintaining to ensure cleanliness and a pleasant experience. It may just be the biggest outhouse you’ve ever seen! -At this time, our campground is off-grid but we do intend to bring water and power to it with time. Upon request and availability, we may be able to assist you with water needs via a garden hose. Your site will have a large six gallon container of non-potable water to be used in the case of a fire emergency (if safe to do so). -Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a leash. My travel dog Thor and I had an exceptionally warm and cozy stop at this beautiful property en route to Golden BC. The field tent sits on a lovely deck overlooking a beautiful valley. With all the development in Spokane it is amazing that this beautiful semi urban area is so close to the city. We loved watching the sunset, deer in the field and stars at night. The tent and field kitchen are exceptionally well appointed. The bed is super comfy and the tent feels like a boutique hotel with all the hosts thoughtful touches. The host are lovely and great communicators. So glad they are sharing their little piece of Spokane valley paradise with people like me. We will be back with more time to relax, enjoy the tent, deck and the beautiful valley.

3 nights at Clagstone Acres

If you're needing a camp spot anywhere in the area - this is the one! We've stayed at many hipcamps all over the country and I'd have to say that Rich's camp was the cleanest, nicest, and over all best one we've stayed at so far. The site: It was peaceful and surrounded by woods. Rich put a lot of thought into designing the layout and it absolutely shows. We were far enough off the road (dirt and quiet) that the few cars that did pass were no issue at all. You can't even see the road from the situation your camper . The gravel pad was perfectly level and didn't even require leveling blocks (a first for us). We had the place all to ourselves, except for the wild turkeys who would pass through occasionally. The view of pines from every window was just so nice and relaxing. There was also a gazebo with picnic table provided that was fantastic. Clean, sturdy and very important - spider free! Rich: What a truly nice man! The world would be a better place if there were more people like Rich. He reached out before check-in and gave us directions to the spot, eating recommendations for in town, activity ideas, and checked on us day of to see how our travel was going. He stopped by to ensure that we were doing ok during our stay, and stayed to chat for while. It was lovely. Needless to say we would absolutely stay again.

The Belle of Glenrose was a quaint and easy to access place to stay for the night. I enjoyed the warmly decorated inside of the yurt, as well as the deck with views of the valley. It was fun to see the chickens in the yard. Walking on the mowed trails was enjoyable, and having close proximity to the park trail up the road was an added bonus.

Everything was so thoughtfully set up from the cozy string lights around the tents interior to the rustic kitchen equipped with all the tools needed to make a delicious breakfast & coffee. So close to Farragut State Park for a day in nature, but also close to a grocery store for the things I inevitably forgot. Ron and Vicki were so kind and easy to communicate with.

A very nicely appointed site a short drive from town and plenty other great outdoor activities. It's the perfect base camp for exploring the area of Northern ID. Sites have full hookups, are level, private and wide, with a covered picnic bench and a small, lockable shed. The amenities at this Hipcamp reset my expectations and are now the baseline by which all others will be judged. Other than a short semi-steep climb off the road, it's very easy to get into your spot (even for large rigs). A few FYI's to be aware of. First, bring Yellow Jacket traps. They were constant when we visited in late August. They're chasing moisture, so keep wet stuff away from you and you'll be fine. Second, this is the real Idaho. There's a sandpit a few miles away where people shoot, as well as a local competition on Sunday at another location near the Hipcamp. Both are shooting away from your location, so you're not "down range"...but something to be aware of.
