Enjoy 16 acres of trees with a pond and a variety of wildlife. Wander the property and you can expect to see deer, elk, an occasional moose, dozens of turkey, quail, grouse, snowshoe hare, and a trio of domestic chickens who have made Little Hawk Landing their favorite hangout. The 300 sq ft cabin is fully stocked and can be set up with a king bed or two twins - please specify your choice at registration or send me a quick message - and there is also a pullout twin sleeper sofa bed. We provide free Wi-Fi and there is a TV with a DVD/Blue-ray player and a wide assortment of movies. All firewood for the woodburning stove is provided. During the warmer months, make use of our kayaks at the pond, or enjoy an evening under the stars by a campfire. Little Hawk Landing is minutes away from prime hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, and snowmobiling locations. The town of Deary is five miles away with a grocery store, gas stations, two coffee shops, a bakery, wine bar, and several restaurants. We are 45 minutes from the University of Idaho, and an hour from Washington State University and Lewis-Clark State College.

Dreamy place. Smells like pine trees all day. Beautiful views of the Palouse. Its very well set up. Hot water in the faucet and bathoom. The outside sink was a plus. The table is very big, lots of dry firewood, spacious area, lots of parking, sting lights, the owners were very accomodating, flexible and very welcoming. The kids were very loud and they didn't once come over or say anything.

I hate to leave a good review because I want this place just for myself!!!
This Hip Camp is absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful views.
On top of the scenery, the amenities were fantastic. The grounds were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out. The bathroom and shower were spotless, the site was spacious, and it was clear the host really cares about keeping everything in top condition.
The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Their warmth and attention to detail made the experience even more special.
It’s rare to find a place that combines natural beauty with such comfort and convenience, but this spot has it all. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back — highly recommend to anyone looking for a camping experience that’s both stunning and stress-free!

This site has nice pine trees, which contribute to privacy and a feeling of being in the woods. We easily backed our 30’ fifth wheel into this spacious site. Travis has provided some extremely appreciated amenities, such as a giant picnic table and trash can. This was our second stay here and we greatly enjoyed sitting under the awning eating dinner, listening to the sound of the drizzling rain and pine cones dropping to the ground.

We stayed at Crooks Lookout for the second time, and it was just as wonderful as our first visit. Travis keeps the campsite extremely well maintained, and the setting is peaceful and quiet with plenty of privacy—exactly what we were looking for. His dog, Mater, greeted us warmly and stopped by to visit during our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We also had the pleasure of meeting Travis himself; he’s a genuinely generous and welcoming host. Everything about our stay was top notch, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again!

was an amazing stay! Travis was super nice and even brought us fresh veggies from their garden when he came up to introduce himself. His pup was the sweetest and gave us a warm welcome too. The shower and toilet were such a luxury to have after days of camping and driving. The spot itself is peaceful, with beautiful views, and you can tell Travis has put a lot of thought into making it comfortable while still feeling like real camping. We’d definitely come back!

Perfect! Beautiful location, friendly host, and very well designed glamping amenities! We had the most easy-going camping experience, and will definitely be back!
We arrived late, and were welcomed by lovely patio lights — made it easy to unpack and setup camp in! The kitchen sink & counter, flushing toilet and hot shower made our whole stay luxurious and easy. Even a garbage can was provided, so we didn’t have to pack our own bags and pack it out. A huge, beautiful picnic table with a view, a fire pit and firewood… this spot made camping simple, easy and beautiful. This was a luxury camp-style.
The highway is right next to camp, but it was pretty quiet at night. I always wear ear plugs, and slept fine. My family slept fine without them, but for light sleepers it might be a good idea to pack some.

Travis was great, kids were very respectful of guests being on-site. Shower/toilet was a very nice perk. Great jumping point to Pullman, WA or Moscow, ID. Thank you for the fresh raspberries! Sunsets were amazing. Signs on highway for campsite were very helpful. Privacy from owner's house was excellent.

We loved staying here. It was close to Pullman/Moscow so we could do our college campus tours and explore town a little. We felt secluded and had privacy which was nice and the views were great while sitting outside playing cards. I would definitely stay here in the future and reccomend this place to anyone.

We loved the little private camp spot that Travis provided. It had everything we needed - electric hookup, shower, toilet and sink. Beautiful view and starry sky at night. We didn't stay long, but we were happy to have a peaceful place to rest for the night as we continued our journey home to SW Washington. Thank you!

Great location with easy access. 27’ Class C pulling a small car, easy area to pull into to disconnect the car and back into the site. Great little bathroom with shower however we did not need. All utilities- 30a power, water and sewer. Located the Starlink mini by the fire pit for the best reception. Travis was a great host! A little bit of road noise from the highway but did not bother us. Highly recommend!

Travis and his family are extremely gracious host. They have created an amazing space with a wonderful view, full hookup, and a separate bathhouse as a bonus. Mater, the friendly dog made our travel pup feel right at home. Be sure to ask Travis about his locally sourced coffee. It is the best way to start your day and you will support local efforts- it’s a great deal.

Little Hawk Landing is a great camping spot. It is perfectly situated, so that hiking, biking and kayaking are all within 20-30 minutes. The town of Deary is 5-10 minutes away. The site is on a dirt road off hwy 9 and there is a minimal amount of traffic as neighbors go by, but it was definitely quiet and private. The site was clean, level and easy to get into and out of. Chris was extremely responsive any time I had a question. She did stop by to check on us, but left us to ourselves. We had no doubt she'd have been right there had we had a problem, but everything was in perfect order. She even left us a stack of firewood and a firepit to burn it in! I highly recommend Little Hawk Landing.
