You could say Boise National Forest is in the tri-forest area. It is surrounded on all sides by Payette, Salmon-Challis, and Sawtooth National Forests, it is situated conveniently close to both urban fun in Boise, and limitless wilderness adventures everywhere else. Alpine tundra is dotted with evergreen forest in the green rolling hills here, topped with snow, and anchored by sparkling valley waterways. The Payette River is great for rafting, while Banks Beach and Beehive Bend are just some of the prime access points on the forest’s 250 lakes and reservoirs (Arrowrock Reservoir has surprisingly primo salmon fishing for central Idaho).
Hikers will find 500 trails, including some that lead to 360-panoramic views at fire lookouts. About the Yurt:
The 30’ yurt came from Pacific Yurts in Cottage Grove, Oregon. The yurt was erected in 2022 and in 2023 we added all the rooms and beautiful woodwork inside. It is on a Kiln Dried Tongue and Groove decking. Yurts are designed to withstand cold winters and this one is no exception.
Temperature Control:
The decking is insulated underneath to help with the cold winters. When the sun is out on a warm day the yurt will heat up nicely through the dome and can be cooled by opening the windows, the dome, and running the ceiling fan. Also keeping the outside windows up keeps the heat out if you get to hot.
the yurt is equipped with a mini-split w/remoted, allowing personalized temperature control.
Kitchen:
We have everything you need to cook a meal at your home away from home. Refrigerator w/freezer, 2 burner cooktop, microwave, Keurig, and toaster oven. Teree was a very welcoming host. We were going to Boise,Id for family meet up, so we wanted to be close and this really met our needs. We have a camper van, so we did not need restroom or electricity hookup. VAN was parked alongside the garage with the shade of the large trees. Her back yard was beautifully groomed and it's obviously a passion . We may consider tent camping next time we are in the area. She greeted us and made us feel totally comfortable. Thank you Teree even with Temps of 100 degrees your little oasis was a great respite for our trip. Linda &Sandy and our fur baby Chloe.

Great location, easy to walk to restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. Managed to stumble into live after five concert downtown and had a fantastic time. Really cool Neighborhood, tons of history and an adjacent historical park / historic site of the old original Assayers‘s Office. Great education as far as what an assayer actually is 😉. Quiet at night, safe so it was perfect. I will say hospital construction does exist nearby, but did not ruin our trip and this stop was worth it.

We absolutely loved staying at this hipcamp. The view is so beautiful! There are chairs and a little table outside to give you a place to take it all in. Not to mention that there is onsite laundry which is such a huge bonus! Dan is such a wonderful host and was so incredibly accommodating. We had some unforeseen mechanical issues (perks of RV life) and had to change around our predetermined schedule. Dan was so incredibly quick to respond and was so accommodating and understanding with our change that was needed. That alone is a huge testament why we would recommend this to anyone in the area. You are in great hands staying with Dan and the view at this site is a wonderful bonus!

The site was amazing!!! Private, secluded while in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The property bordered a large pasture on one side and the owners property, but had a 6 ft privacy fence that made you feel very separate. The artificial turf was a great touch to keep dirt out of your RV and give you extra outdoor living space. The highlight of the entire site is a full free laundry facility. This made the site a 10/10!!! Dan was also amazing. Very communicative, extremely attentive and offered advice when asked. This was close to downtown Mountain Home but out in the country!! Absolutely perfect!!

I was warmly greeted by, and had a nice visit with, the host. The camping was basic but as expected. It was wonderful to be surrounded by mini cattle, horses, and goats, and woke up to chickens scratching around the campsite. My stay was just one night but I would definitely return.

My son and I were warmly welcomed, and it was easy to find the site. The family has a friendly dog, chickens, goats, and adorable miniature cows. My son even got a chance to bottle feed a calf. He had a blast!
Our stay was very fun, and the site was nicely kept. There was no issue with road noise or animal noises in the evening, and the facilities were clean and well-stocked.

The host was super kind and helpful! She lent us a car jack and gave us useful local tips. The farm and camp site are pretty and quiet. We bought some lamb shankscwhich were awesome! We were conveniently located 20 minutes from Nampa which has grocery stores, gas, repair shops and all the other services you might need. We were there to bird in the Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area which was also super close. It was a very pleasnt stay!
