The Birch Creek Charcoal Kilns are roughly 20 mins away, and Meadow Lake and Meadow Lake Campground are roughly 5 miles away on a dirt road (on top of the mountain). The Meadow Lake Campground is only open for 2 months out of the year due to the snowfall (its on top of a mountain), so this campsite (Camp Badger) is a great place to camp if you can not find a spot at the campground.Camp Badger is the only campsite available within the Gilmore town site.

We had a great stay at Doug and Shannon’s cabin! Located close to Salmon, but still remote and private. We stayed plenty warm in the cabin, and enjoyed the swing by the water. Would definitely recommend and would stay again next time we are in the area!

Weekend Trip to The Meadow

This was a very cute and homey cabin, perfect for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. He originally wanted to camp, so even though the cabin is rustic, it was perfect for us. I especially enjoyed sitting on the loveseat on the porch. And having a coffee maker! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming.

Great spot close enough to Salmon. But not too close! Very comfortable space with big views. Outhouse is clean. Brandon offered me well water and 20amps of electricity. The area is well kept and is perfect for a tent

4 nights at The Meadow

An absolutely lovely spot to relax for a day or a week. We wish we could have stayed all month! The creek rushes by, cold and perfectly refreshing on a hot day. The cabin is adorable, comfortable, and well supplied. The outdoor kitchen, including fire pit, has everything one needs to cook gourmet camp meals and clean up afterwards. The nearby aspen groves are perfect for hammocks and shade any time of day. We had just enough cell service (Verizon) in the meadow to stream Spotify and check our phones occasionally, though we did our best to keep them hidden away. Hosts are delightful—welcoming, accommodating, and generous. We bought lavender lotions and lip balm made right on site and enjoyed conversations with the whole family. We will definitely be back, hopefully soon!

Weekend Trip to Breathtaking beaverhead basecamp

Brandon’s place was beautiful! From where we camped we saw deer and some beautiful horses. It was really close to the hiking spot we planned to go to so it was really convenient and he replied to any message I had in a timely manner. I will definitely choose this place again next time we visit salmon!

Weekend Trip to Salmon Gypsy B&B & Mini-Donkey Ranch

The gypsy wagon was definitely unique and fun. It was super clean and comfortable, the grounds were beautifully maintained and Lorett's cinnamon walnut bread was absolutely delicious! We had a nice campfire by the river in the evening and Pat even brought us more wood! We would have liked to have spent more time with the mini donkeys but the owners need to be with you so we didn't want to take too much of their time. Overall, it was a great experience and we will do it again in the future!

Weekend Trip to The Meadow

We had the opportunity to stay at Shannon and Doug’s cabin on a weekend trip to Salmon/hotsprings. It was the perfect spot! Peaceful, quiet, and thoughtfully furnished. Hosts were accommodating and welcoming. We hope to return!
