The campsite is situated on its own private corner of the property encompassing about an acre. The other parts of the property house a working Boarding stall and indoor arena for horses and the main residence is beyond that. There is water and power to the site as well as an established fire pit when burning is permitted.

Owned the last 100 years by only two families. The Weber family was the last to own and operate the farm for over 60 years. House was built in 1917 and the barn was added in 1925. Legend has it Bing Crosby sang in the barn himself after a long summer bucking bales in Cheney. We are close to Turnbull Wildlife Park and a few local fishing lakes: badger lake, williams lake, and amber lake. The town of Cheney is a great place to stock up and bicycle the fish lake trail.

I was in town for an event. Coyote Flats is a roomy, quiet, flat spot that was perfect for my dogs and I to hang out in the mornings and evenings. While I didn’t see any coyote, there were plenty of deer and turkeys nearby. Highly recommend this spot.

What a lovely spot! Our first trip out in our trailer and it was perfect. Such a nice shaded, clean, level spot with everything you could need. So close to Farragut State Park for a day in nature, but also close to a grocery store for the things I inevitably forgot. Ron and Vicki were so kind and easy to communicate with.

Absolutely perfect long weekend at the Mad Moose! From the warm friendly conversations with our amazing hosts, Ron & Vicki to our great spot (B) with a fantastic view for watching stars and wildlife! Very relaxing area for reading and just chillin. Farragut State Park is just a short drive, great afternoon exploring the museum and park. The search is over! This is the ideal spot! Ron and Vicki were so kind, helpful and easy to communicate with. They met us as we arrived and even shared some of their homegrown garlic with us! This was our first experience using Hip Camp and I can’t imagine it getting any better than this. The location was easy access to Farragut State Park, Sandpoint, Coeur d’Alene and other smaller towns in the area. The campsite was spotless and extremely quiet and peaceful. There was even a porta potty nearby with a hand wash station. If you are in the area, I highly recommend booking your stay here and even adding on a couple days just to enjoy the peace of the campsite. Thank you again Ron and Vicki for providing such an amazing place!

We booked site B and our friends booked site A. There are no other sites on their 20 acre property so it felt like our own private campground. Ron and Vicki were welcoming and friendly and greeted us when we arrived to check us in and go over the campground rules. This is a lovely property, close to Sandpoint, Lake Pend Oreille (Farragut SP), and hiking. We rented a pontoon boat in Bayview which is a great way to see the lake. There is a very clean outhouse with sink in it next to the camp sites for those who may not have bathroom facilities in their RV or who are tenting. Each site has its own picnic table as well. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Ron and Vicki!
