Don’t listen to any of the mixed reviews. This place exceeded all of our expectations. It was the perfect place to spend a few nights, the hosts were kind, showers were hot and views were to die to die for. We are very grateful that the farm allowed us to experience a slice of their life.

Staying at the Sun Farm was great! We camped at multiple spots around the island, and they had the most hostel feel to it! The charging options on site with a fridge was perfect for our last night before leaving, as we we were able to have things available to use the next day. Hot water in the showers and our site was right next to the office. We were able to participate in the Sun Farm tour and we HIGHLY recommend! If we visit the Sun Farm again we would like to explore their cabin/tent options for sure!

Camping on the farm was a delightful experience! Would highly recommend. All the extra amenities (hot shower, bathrooms, outdoor kitchen) made our experience so much nicer. It was an excellent place to meet new people; other campers and volunteers were all so friendly. P.S. Waimea their puppy dog was an absolute sweetheart.

A lovely site with great staff and amenities. There’s a full kitchen which was really nice and 2 hot showers, also fantastic. Easy to find. I stayed in a campervan and you’re a bit close to other tent campers but that’s pretty clear prior to booking. Good location near Koko head and the city if you’re into that.

Weekend Trip to Aloha Family Farms

My friends and I had a wonderful time here, there is a kitchenette area with a large sink with running water, picnic tables, and a fire pit that we used to make hot dogs and smores. There’s also a porcelain toilet and shower with hot water, so this site has great amenities for camping but still staying comfortable. Perfect for our island camping staycation.

Site was really quiet on the border of a little river with three nice picnic tables and a nice very clean toilet as well as a warm water shower. This was very well appreciated by us. There was a field with four or five goats that were very interesting as well as some chickens and ducks walking around the property. Overall a very good experience.! We recommend. Note: we were notified to not feed the Goats or the ducks or check if the chickens had laid eggs. Thanks for the stay.

The cutest lil spot ever! It is so beautiful, and we really enjoyed walking through the gardens and the communal kitchen. 11/10 recommend this spot. The only thing that was a slightly bothersome, is if you come here in a camper van, you really don't have much privacy around your site.

I'm in love with Haleiwa, so I think that plays a big role in how I feel. We were also very lucky to have the campsite just for ourselves, which was great. No noise, warm shower, nice sink outside. Shower separated from bathroom, which is convenient when you have more than 2 people around. The filed by the campsite was a great treat, to just seat outside and stargaze.

We are surrounded by jungle, with a freshwater stream running through the entire property and unobstructed mountain views. If you’re especially sensitive to mosquitos, bugs, geckos, free roaming chickens or other elements to be expected in nature, this might not be the place for you. Waimanalo is a small agricultural town filled with nurseries, horse stables, and a high concentration of Hawaiian homes. It remains mostly undeveloped and authentic, and we aim to keep it that way. Outsiders do not often get the opportunity to stay back here, but we welcome respectful travelers looking for an authentic experience who can appreciate this privilege. While nestled against the mountains, we're just a five minute drive from the beach. We are fifteen minutes from Kailua town, where you'll find several grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. This is a working farm. While we are very hospitable, we are not in the business of hospitality. I am happy to accommodate travelers, but I am not here at your beck and call. Welcome to Hau'ula Homestead! We are located on O‘ahu, the beautiful Hawaiian Island. Right across the road from Hau'ula Beach park and a short drive from famous North Shore beaches. Flat grass field with some trees and bordered by a stream. We have two RV/tent campsites available. If you are bringing an RV, we can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length. No hookups are available at this time, the sites are flat. Campfires not permitted. We are pet-friendly, but please keep your pets on leash. A toilet, potable water, and wifi are all available. Kokololio Beach Park is a 2-minute drive from the site. Hau'ula Loop Trail is only 4 minutes away. Kokololio Beach is a nice stretch of sand and during the summer months, swimming is possible. When coming from the south, turn left toward the mountain immediately before the long Hauula Beach park bridge or when coming from the north turn right immediately toward the mountain just after the long park bridge into my dirt driveway. You will have the small river on your righthand side as you drive in.
